Visiting this restaurant always feels like visiting family! We've been coming faithfully for several years, and the service has remained consistently excellent every single time. Roshan is absolutely the best, always welcoming and attentive. And Sudeep is spectacular as well and does an outstanding job managing!! On top of that, the food is incredible. Hands down the best Indian food in Baltimore City, no debate.

Chicken steam Momo- never had it before but LOVED IT! They recommended it so I went for it! Vindaloo chicken - a tad spicer than I asked but hey can't get everything de-spiced and still keep that flavor- and yes VERY flavorful! Garlic naan- never a bad choice and this one was spot on! Mango lasso- my new addiction! Smooth rich delicious! The atmosphere is as nice it is a bit of a "to go" place for the college crowd but hey I feel young! Definitely hits the spot if you are craving something spiced and delicious!

This was walking distance from our hotel and we decided to check it out for dinner one night. We were trying to gauge spice levels and also quality of food. We asked for medium spice but both dishes were very mild and both curries tasted the same. Very disappointing in the taste. The rice came with and naan was good. I would say it's good to eat if you want Indian food, but I wouldn't go out of my way to try and get this. Of course, this is also takeout rather than sitting in the restaurant. And the restaurant was packed, so I figure maybe dining in experience with freshly served food would be better. Overall good Indian food, spices could use some work, and pricing was reasonable.

This is our favorite Indian restaurant! We've now been a few times. Each time was delicious. The service is always on point. The waiters are friendly. We've sat inside and out on the patio and both are nice. One time we sat by a couple who said they traveled from Connecticut just to have dinner here.

This place has some good Indian food to satisfy your cravings. I'm basic and got the butter chicken, garlic naan, a mango lassi and it did not disappoint. It can get pretty busy inside the restaurant but overall the service was good.

I think this is the best Indian restaurant in the city, and my Indian friends recommend this place to me as well. I can't believe I have never posted a review for this place. I've been getting Harbour tandoor since about 2023. I've only ever gotten takeout and delivery from them never sat inside, until today! it's a cute interior. It is located right on Caroline Street and Whole Foods so it's convenient. I love getting takeout from them, especially in the winter. Dining in was an experience that was totally different. Their takeout is excellent and the service has always been phenomenal but dining in on a Monday. We happen to go the day that the temperature dropped about 30° and it was the busiest I had ever seen it. I'm a big fan of their curries, and today I tried the goat curry because the waiter recommended it to me. I thought the spice level could've been a little bit more spicy but I did order medium and they're non-just hit right but honestly the star of the show here is the dahi Puri. I've had it takeout and the assembly at home is a different experience. It's best eaten fresh! The cruise is also come in this really amazing cute ladle pot and it just makes an experience really delightful. My friend has gotten catering from them and has raved about the service. Honestly, we are so lucky that we have this amazing Indian restaurant in the city. It's not Michelin level, but it's a nice slightly elevated family owned business. That really makes me feel good after I eat their food. Best in class in the city for sure!

Sumptuous food. Try Goat Biryani, Tandoori Chicken. Samosa Chaat. Decent bar and drinks. Good ambience. Great service!

    FARM TO TABLE GOAT CURRY

This was a really good Nepalese spot. We enjoyed sharing the pot of masala, and the goat curry came in a very large portion. The saag paneer was really good too - very flavorful and generous with the paneer pieces. It was on the more expensive size, but the portions were really big. The service was friendly, and it was fun overhearing servers speaking to customers in Nepalese. The space was really large, accommodating lots of large parties, so it works well for groups or families. Overall, Harbor Tandoor delivers solid, authentic Nepalese food with substantial portions in a spacious, welcoming environment.

    Lamb curry, chef's special

I am happy I found this place in Baltimore, to complement my culinaristic experiences during my travel covering now tasty tandoori lamb. The service was excellent and timely. The place is relatively small so I realized it was a good strategy to reserve table beforehand. The chef's special, "farm to table" lamb curry was absolutely fantastic and it had special touch compared to some of the typical offering in Indian themed restaurants; with bones giving that extra flavor, it was tender and flavorful. I also ordered garlic naan, which was thin with flavoful, soft as cloud, with crispy touch; perfect to accompany with the main dish. The lassi was also great. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you crave authentic Indian food.

One of the absolute best restaurants in Baltimore. Staff is friendliest in town. Food is top notch. Best Indian food, by far, in Baltimore. Also, they're very kid-friendly!

There's a back area, sort of like a dinning room, with little booths for those wishing for some privacy. The red lights gives the bar that good old 1920s (prohibition) feel. I felt at any moment the authorities would swing through the door forcing us to hide our drinks. **Wild thoughts** Kyle made a cocktail he's "been working on" and he needs to put that shxt on the menu asap! So delicious. It was late night and I stayed here about an hour (closed the spot ha) and I was able to enjoy a mini impromptu concert by another patron Ebony, as Kyle was sweet enough to play some of her music. All in all, a perfect end to my evening. High recommendation for Rye. The End.

No bartender in sight, no other patrons, no background noise. For a moment, we genuinely wondered if we were in the right place. The bar is down a flight of stairs, tucked into the basement, and it's notable because it's Fells Point's only and possibly first basement bar, which already gives it serious character points. We waited near the bar for a few minutes, heard nothing, saw no one, and eventually started heading back up the stairs to leave. That's when Steve, the bartender, literally came after usnot in a weird way, but in a very human, "Hey! Sorry about that, I was in the stock room come back in!" way. And honestly? From that moment on, the experience completely flipped. Steve was phenomenal. Friendly, welcoming, deeply knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the place. He's worked there for 18 years, and once we sat down, he turned the bar into a living history lesson. He shared stories about Fells Point, Baltimore, Edgar Allan Poe, the building itself, and all the ghost stories tied to the space. He also told us about the celebrities who've passed through, including the fun detail that Blake Shelton once sat in the very bar stool I was sitting in and ordered a Bullet bourbon. Naturally, that kind of trivia just adds to the charm. Drink-wise, I ordered an Angry Orchard, and my friend had a single Tito's with cranberry and soda water. Our total was $26.16, which feels pretty standard for Baltimore definitely not cheap, but not shocking either. The bar itself is small, intimate, and packed with atmosphere exposed brick, low ceilings, and that cozy, historic, slightly haunted vibe you hope for in a basement bar. It's also connected to The William Fell Inn hotel through a separate entrance, which makes it feel like a hidden secret rather than a tourist stop. We loved the history, the stories, the ghosts, the setting and especially Steve. Being the only patrons that night was actually a gift, because it let us really soak it all in. That said, we're absolutely planning to come back on a busy night to see how the energy shifts when it's full. If you love historic bars, good storytelling, and places that feel like they've seen things Anchor Bar is a must. ‍
