I've been craving Indian food and decided to try this place via delivery through GrubHub. I ordered shrimp pakora, butter chicken, which came with rice, and garlic naan. The food arrived hot and well packed. The shrimp were very tasty. Not much crispiness, but that is to be expected with delivery. The sauces that came with it were very delicious. I enjoyed the butter chicken. The chicken was perfectly tender and a good amount. The sauce could have used a bit more flavor in my opinion. I did order mild just to see what the baseline spice was, and would definitely go medium or more next time. The sauce was a nice consistency. The rice was well cooked, but no flavor on its own. I have been to some Indian spots in which the rice itself is very aromatic and flavorful with some spices cooked into it; this was more just basic rice. Still good with the butter chicken. The food is delicious! I have ordered three times of my three days visiting my family in Baltimore. We have tried a menagerie of items including the momos, chicken curry, chicken korma, a potato dish, and other things. Each dish has been cooked to desired spice level and is quite delicious. The gentleman to handles My pick-up is friendly and polite. Parking outside is a little intimidating with the traffic but they do offer parking behind the building. I dropped in one evening for takeout, which wasn't bad at all. If you're looking for decent Thai for a reasonable price, try the vegetable samosas and Chicken Jalfrezi. Mixed feelings - skip the chicken wings‼My chicken wings were bloody on the inside and I received a squirt of ranch (pics below). BUT something beforehand was telling me not to get them, so the universe tried to save me ahead of time but I forced it. However, the CTM pizza and lamb Cho mein, were FIRE!! Like so damn good, it stopped me from coming back and being irate about my blood wings. I wish the pizza was a little thinner and had more sauce spread out, but still extremely good. Not sure why you'd tell me you don't microwave your food. The bread was warm when I took a bite but it turned to particle board the moment I started chewing. It wasn't cold. I know what microwaved bread texture is like, because I've made that mistake myself. YOU might believe nobody does that but maybe you need to start taking a closer note of what the staff is doing. I love ordering from here. Their chicken tikka is great and tonight I had their chicken momo for the first time. They were super similar to Chinese dumplings but the filling was soft and spicy. I believe the dipping sauce was the same as that for the chicken tikka. The one thing I dislike is that the chicken tikka doesn't come with any nann. You have to order that separately. We had a craving for Indian food and stumbled upon Kohinoor when searching for delivery in our area. Boy am I glad we did! The food is absolutely delicious and delivery service was stellar!! We ordered the samosas, chicken tikka masala, and the chili chicken momo. Everything was so tasty I'm drooling just thinking about it. To start, the samosa dough was thick, with a crispy exterior and fluffy inside. It held up well to all of the sauces I piled on, which was a pleasant change from the flaky crust Im used to with samosas. The chicken tikka masala was some of the best I've had in the area --a very pleasant surprise! The chicken was moist and had a good meat-to-sauce ratio. Now for the star of the show... THAT CHICKEN MOMO THOUGHHHH! I literally had no idea what chicken momo was but now I can't imagine my life without it. Perfectly fried, juicy, and spicy fillings in these dumplings, they made the entire meal. I even made a second meal out of the sauce and chili's leftover after finishing the momos by soaking all the goodness up with white rice... absolutely delish! The prices are reasonable and I appreciate that they paid attention to my note about not giving us utensils or napkins. I'm trying to be more conscious about reducing waste but restaurants rarely pay attention when I include that type of note, so this was a major plus for Kohinoor in my book! I'm a huge connoisseur of Indian food, so I couldn't wait to dig into this. My biggest anticipation was the vegetable samosa but was I in for a surprise. The samosa turned out to be a weapon of possible destruction. Thrown hard and fast, I could easily bring down a man to his feet with this appetizer. The crust was hard like rock and the inside mix was somewhat dry. I didn't want to chance biting into it for fear of cracking my teeth; I literally had to saw it open. The main entree was lamb in a curry sauce of onions and sweet peppers. I ordered medium spicy, leaving my mouth on fire. Needless to say I needed to go down a level in spiciness. When ordering out, I usually find spicy food is always on the weak side, but this dish proved me wrong. For dessert, I enjoyed a cup of Coconut Lassie. This was delightful with the right amount of sweetness and tiny bits of coconut mixed in with yogurt. Another sweet I tried was fried Cottage Cheese Balls in a syrup. This was given in exchange for an item that was sold out. If you enjoy dunking mini round cake-like balls in a sweet syrup, you'll enjoy this, but this was not my cup of tea (or syrup, in this case).
