    Burnt naan that were inedible
    Monica C.

The catering part of this restaurant ruined my daughter's 5th birthday party this weekend. They were told we would have 100 guests and they brought food that was cold, soggy, and burnt. At 9pm, before many guests had eaten, they packed up the food despite knowing they needed to stay until 11pm. My husband called the owner of the restaurant and he threatened to come attack my husband. We are filing a complaint with the county and the BBB for this shady and unprofessional establishment.

This place is great! Excellent food, good service and they also have byob! Love to go back.

    Burnt Naan

Never again! We ordered takeout, waited 35 minutes, got there... no one around. A sign said call a phone # for assistance... let it ring 40 times... went next door to the store. She found the woman who took my credit card -- then I waited another ten minutes. Raita was spoiled, had to throw it out, ordered coconut chicken korma but got regular-- way too spicy for me to eat. Naan was burnt black and inedible. I really wanted to like this place --

    Shrimp Biryani was the best

Second time around for delivery...same order about ten days apart. What a difference in such a short time. Nothing measured up to the previous order. Heat was again requested but lacking this time...resulting in this *** rating covering both deliveries. The shame of it that everything last time was outstanding. Three of us ordered together for delivery both times. I also opted for the Muligatawny Soup. This time it was awful. There was no hint of chicken and only a smattering of lentil. The dishes that we shared were: Chicken Tikka Masala (very good, but way too mild); Bengan Bhartha (not spicy and contained peas, which are not mentioned on the menu); Palak Paneer (not bad...kinda plain...and again the heat was missing.), and finally Shrimp Biryani (this was the best offering, in my opinion) with enough shrimp for three to share and tons of basmati rice. We may try India Palace again...or we may not.

Came in, wasnt expecting the buffet. Walked around the buffet bar there were no signs saying what I was eating but all the food (i tried everything) was pretty decent. I was accompanied by couple flies on the wall (hence 4 star instead of 5). It was nice and quiet, after two tables in front of me left I was the only one here. Probably because they are closing soon. All in all for a 10 bucks meal it aint too bad.

Butter chicken (Chicken Makhani): tender Chicken Cooked in a Creamy, Buttery Tomato Gravy with Mild Spices. I may have some of the leftovers tonight for dinner, if I'm lucky. Butter Chicken Pizza: A Rich and Savory Fusion Topped with Creamy Butter Chicken, Mozzarella Cheese and a Hint of Indian Spices on a Golden Baked Crust. $16.99+ --- WOW!!! just amazing. Great, crisp crust. Tender Chicken. A side cup of butter chicken sauce. This is the item that won my heart. Tandoori Shrimp: jumbo shrimps marinated with yogurt, ginger, garlic & Indian spice $18.99 --- delicious... we received two mystery sauces: one an herbaceous slightly spicy green, the other a dark purple with a flavor that reminded me of plums or raisins. I don't know if these were meant for the shrimp, but I really liked the flavor combination of the shrimp with the purple sauce. I only got one though, cuz Jeremy housed them before I could snag a second. Tandoori Chicken: Chicken on bone marinated overnight in yogurt & spice roasted in a tandoor a cylindrical oven $13.99 --- best tandoori chicken I have ever had in my life. So tender, not at all dried out, perfect char flavor. White rice spiced white clove.... didn't open them with the meal but looking forward to having them later. A really spectacular meal. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Mango Lassi: it's in the refrigerator along with there are 2 L sodas and water. Easily missed but good! - bumping up overall rating from three star to four star because of their mango lassi. Bindoo masala: too oily and not memorable wouldn't get again Overall, this was for me an intro to Indo-Chinese pizza. Owners are from Nepal. The name "Sangam," which means "meeting and getting along," evokes the spirit of mutual trust inspired by a classic Indian film of the same name. This romantic notion sets the stage for a delightful culinary experience. Upon entering, you might not find opulence, but the restaurant exudes a cool, neat vibe. The ambiance is unpretentious, with two diligent South Indian girls serving food with a warm smile, creating a welcoming environment. The menu is a treasure trove of South Indian dishes, many of which may seem unfamiliar, especially for those from a Punjabi or Pakistani background. Though the choices can be overwhelming, the restaurant is particularly renowned for its Masala Dosa--a must-try for any visitor. Here are some of our favorite selections: Sukha Goshat: A flavorful dish reminiscent of bhuna meat, prepared with an array of spices, served alongside naan or paratha--perfect for a satisfying meal. Biryani: Their biryanis are noteworthy, bursting with rich flavors that stand out. Appetizers: We often start with Chicken 65 or Fish Chilli. The tangy, spicy Chicken 65 has a unique flavor that distinguishes it from typical offerings at Indian restaurants. If you ever plan to visit Sangam, I'd love to join you for this delightful culinary adventure!

The décor and ambience of this restaurant is so serene and welcoming. As always, they start you off with a basket of Papadum (light crispy Indian wafers) and two dipping sauces. These are really delicious and a wonderful introduction to Indian food. Our foods started with an order of split Vegetable and Chicken Momo dumplings that were marinated in Nepali spices stuffed in flour wrapped and steamed and served with a special chutney. For our friends' main course, they split a Chicken Tikka Masala, which was boneless white meat chicken cooked with onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. They also ordered Naan - the traditional unleavened white bread. My husband had his favorite, the Tandoori Shrimp. It was a very generous portion of jumbo shrimp marinated in an herb mixture and delicately broiled in our tandoori clay oven served with mixed vegetables. This came out sizzling. This came with a side of spinach that was more like a creamed spinach. It was the best we have ever tasted! It was creamy with the best seasoning. I decided to try something new and ordered the Chicken Pista Korma which was White meat chicken simmered in a mild pistachio sauce. I would have like smaller pieces of chicken, but the sauce was delicate and delicious. All of our entrees came with basmati rice. Our group of six went to Hyderabad Stories in Cockeysville planning to dive into their lunch buffet, only to find out they no longer offer it. Since we were already there and hungry, we decided to stick around and order from the regular menu and honestly, it worked out just fine. The space used to be San Sushi before the owner retired, and the interior layout is pretty much the same. It is simple and perfectly serviceable for small to medium groups. When we visited, we were actually the only occupied table, which made for a quiet and relaxed lunch. Since there was no official buffet, we decided to make our own by ordering a half dozen dishes to share. We went with a variety of curries, multiple biryanis, butter chicken, samosas, and plenty of naan for the table. Everything came out at a great pace and the service was very friendly and efficient throughout. The curries were the highlight for me. Some were dialed up with extra heat for the spice lovers at the table, while others were milder, but all of them were packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The biryanis were also excellent, with generous portions of both lamb and chicken. No skimping on the protein here. Pricing was reasonable, and when we split the bill it came out to about what each of us would typically spend at an Indian lunch buffet anyway. Overall, even without the buffet option, Hyderabad Stories is a great Indian food choice in the area and definitely worth checking out if you are craving flavorful curries and solid biryani.

The manager, David, greeted our party of four and acknowledged our dual wedding anniversaries as the occasion for our visit. Nice touch! He also checked on us periodically throughout the evening. The restaurant is lovely inside, tastefully decorated and comfortable. A cozy fireplace burned in the dining room and there was lively conversation throughout, but tables were adequately spaced so that we could talk amongst ourselves with difficulty hearing each other. Our server was prompt, arriving just as we were being seated, offering water for the table and taking drink orders. On to the food. Wow! Talk about a party in your mouth! It was our first time here, and we will be back! For starters, we shared a few small plates; the Crab Khumbi, which had the perfect balance betwen delicate and flavorful, and the Pulled Pork over Pumpkin Polenta. The pork dish had a nice spicy kick and a rich, but tangy flavor, complimented by the sweetness of the pumpkin polenta - highly recommend. My husband ordered the Cauliflower, Coconut and Crab soup, which he proclaimed to be outstanding. Rich but not heavy, and bursting with notes of spice, cilantro and cool cucumber; he said he would definitely order again. The small plates portions are enough for four people to have a generous bite or two. For our entrees, our friends ordered the Shrimp Balchao and Fish Curry, and they both raved about the explosive flavor. My husband also ordered the Fish Curry, while I had Butter Chicken. Oh my gosh, we all chowed down on this deliciousness, taking a moment to dunk our warm, toasted Rosemary & Sea Salt Naan with every other bite. The wine list is extensive and cocktails were expertly crafted and tasty. We didn't have room for dessert, but did view the menu and it looked very appetizing. I cannot wait to return to this gorgeous restaurant, and perhaps even dine outside among the lovely gardens and decor. There are heat lamps for cooler weather. The bar was also warm and cozy, with large TVs visible for watching sporting events, but not so garrish that it had a sports bar feel. I can see Sunday afternoons watching football and enjoying a few small plates with friends in our future. Do yourself a big favor and reserve a table!
