I have been here during the week but I really enjoy coming on the weekends for lunch!! The lunch Buffett is a great deal! Dishes are refreshed regularly. Hot and made on site. The cold options are great! And complimentary chai is superb! Our water never went empty and management went around to every table to ensure they were having a positive experience. I love the ambiance as it's very calm and tranquil. The color scheme is relaxing.

We came back again 4 days later (we like it there!) and tried the Mango Chaat. Good though we liked the Mint Raj Kachori more.

Visited here on a Saturday at 1pm. Went for the lunch buffet and I literally tried almost everything. Some dishes were better than the other but overall I enjoyed my plate. Service was great.. the guys/waiters were checking on us and made sure there was water in our glasses at all times. But overall my favorite perk is, it's BYOB! :-) Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Ambience: 4/5

This is a photo of inedible, untrimmed pieces of chicken from the tikka masala I ordered last night.

I ordered chicken tikka masala and asked for white meat instead of dark. They still put mostly dark meat in it. I bit into a tendon. I bit into a bone. I decided to bring home leftovers so I could see what I was eating in the bright light of my kitchen and you can see in the photo what I found. More bones. Skin. Fat. I have never had such inexpertly prepared chicken in an Indian restaurant before. For what I paid, this is unacceptable. There are plenty of excellent Indian restaurants in the Baltimore area. This place isn't one of them.

My wife enjoyed the tandoori chicken, moist and flavorful.

What a tremendous experience. Elegantly lit and space is comfortable. The glass walled kitchen lends itself to a fine New York bistro. The buffet is clean and sleek. Large variety of offerings. Exceptional taste spectrum. Standouts were the Palak Paneer (perfectly spiced), the Malabar Curry Fish (subtle curry with a perfect balance of spice) and Tawa Baingan which is a roasted eggplant with an in-house roasted spice sauce that can NOT be missed!!!! The special hidden gem is the house 'hot sauce' which is savory and flavorful but not 'hot'-fully spicy as it should be. It's a 45min drive for us and one we will repeat again. Tamarind and Mint sauces are made in house as well and great. My wife prefers the thicker tamarind and it has a full pallet flavor.

The ambiance is amazing. The staff are courteous, and efficient. But the food and presentation is where the experience is epitomized.

Service by Avinash was excellent. He was attentive and kind. He repeated every order back to us to make sure it was clear. The plain naan, garlic naan, vegetable samosas, prawn tikka masala, chicken vindaloo and lamb vindaloo were all amazing and made for plenty of leftovers. You get to choose your spice level here, which I appreciate. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a little bit more spice, if you know what I mean. Let me baaaahbrag on the lamb vindaloo here. The lamb was very tasty, chunky and smooth. Very tender and cooked through. Yummers! This place is not inexpensive (over $140) for three of us for dinner, but you get lots of leftovers so you can justify the cost. Great service, excellent food and nice ambiance.

The Mint Leaf is located at the Hunt Valley Town Center. We were in the area so decided to give it a try. I had dine at its sister restaurant, The Mint Room in Bel Air, about a year ago. We had the Vegetable Samosa for appetizers. It came out hot and crispy. I was so hungry I forgot to snap a photo, lol. For entree, we ordered the Chicken Biryani, Lamb Vindaloon, Akhroti Gosht, and a side of Garlic Nann. The flavors and spices were amazing. I can taste the cardamom in the Akhroti Gosht. Portions were generous. Ended up taking food home. Service was ok. Waiter was a little pushy trying to sell the lobster and lamb shank.

Paneer Tikka masala - filled with peppers and onions. Bad taste. Hardly any paneer

This has been my daughter's and my favorite Indian restaurant, and we've visited about once a month over the last few years. She loves their ice-cold water, I love that they bring new dishes and silverware after the appetizer and we both adore the paneer tikka masala. The food and service have always been exceptional. Unfortunately, tonight's experience was so disappointing that we're questioning if we'll return. We arrived at 7:30 pm and were seated next to the only other table in the restaurant who finished up shortly after we sat down. Our usual paneer tikka masala arrived full of peppers and onions--ingredients not listed on the menu and never included in previous orders--and with only about six pieces of paneer. The sauce was a deeper red than usual, with an overpowering tomato flavor and did not taste like tikka masala. I ordered "as mild as possible" for my daughter and a 3-4 spice level for myself, as I always do, but both dishes came out extremely mild and identical in spice level. We both ended up eating mostly rice because the tikka masala just wasn't enjoyable. Throughout the entire meal, nobody checked on us--not even to refill my daughter's water, which was completely empty. When a different person than our original server finally came over, he asked how everything was. I mentioned it wasn't as good as we were used to, and he just nodded, smiled and said something like, "ok, good," which made me feel like he hadn't actually listened or cared about my honest response to his question. I then asked for to go boxes (because I know my teenage boys will eat anything I give them!) which he quickly brought over. After that, we sat with dirty dishes at our table for at least five minutes, trying to catch the attention of staff who were chatting at the counter and ignoring us. Coats on and my daughter standing up and ready to go, we finally managed to get someone's attention - they came over and handed me the handheld POS machine without a word. After years of fantastic experiences, tonight was truly disappointing. I will mention that the gentleman who brings the water, lassi, and warm hand towels who has worked here for as long as I can remember was amazing as always.

If you love Indian food, this spot is for you! This place offers a lunch buffet like no other in the area! They have over 10 items on their menu including a couple of dessert options. The price is affordable, although tbh, I cannot recall exactly what we paid. The service is also excellent, they check in on you frequently despite you serving yourself and fill up your water. The place got very packed within 20 minutes of us sitting down and we went around 12:30-1 PM. The restaurant is located in a shopping center and the way that the area is set up, it is practically a one way street with angled parking. Be prepared to get stuck for a few mins if you are behind someone who is waiting for an empty spot. Regardless where you park, the shopping center is all connected so you will be able to walk there.

Our group of six went to Hyderabad Stories in Cockeysville planning to dive into their lunch buffet, only to find out they no longer offer it. Since we were already there and hungry, we decided to stick around and order from the regular menu and honestly, it worked out just fine. The space used to be San Sushi before the owner retired, and the interior layout is pretty much the same. It is simple and perfectly serviceable for small to medium groups. When we visited, we were actually the only occupied table, which made for a quiet and relaxed lunch. Since there was no official buffet, we decided to make our own by ordering a half dozen dishes to share. We went with a variety of curries, multiple biryanis, butter chicken, samosas, and plenty of naan for the table. Everything came out at a great pace and the service was very friendly and efficient throughout. The curries were the highlight for me. Some were dialed up with extra heat for the spice lovers at the table, while others were milder, but all of them were packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The biryanis were also excellent, with generous portions of both lamb and chicken. No skimping on the protein here. Pricing was reasonable, and when we split the bill it came out to about what each of us would typically spend at an Indian lunch buffet anyway. Overall, even without the buffet option, Hyderabad Stories is a great Indian food choice in the area and definitely worth checking out if you are craving flavorful curries and solid biryani.

Sangam serves South Indian food and offers a lot of flavors and dishes that can't be found on every Indian restaurant menu: appam, dosas, thalis, Chicken Chettinad, and more. They also have every other dish you might be craving: butter chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, saag paneer, Paneer Tikka Masala... I ordered a salt lassi and their egg thali. What a great lunch. I love the opportunity to enjoy a thali - an entire meal in one dish. If you haven't had the chance to enjoy a thali before, it's a round platter used to serve a complete meal in small dishes. It typically includes a grain, dal/lentils, vegetables, raita, a dessert, and more. Sangam offers five choices: veg, egg, chicken, goat, and fish. It's great, because you get to enjoy so many different dishes in one meal - like the best personal small plates meal. I loved my egg thali at Sangam. I also really enjoyed the salt lassi. The service was very good - friendly and helpful. They didn't seem busy when I arrived (two other tables), but they seemed to do a lot of takeout business! I wasn't able to tip using the credit card machine brought to the table, and I didn't have cash to tip - I felt awful. I'll double tip next time I visit! But it didn't live up to those high expectations. The restaurant is stunning. Before the two brothers behind Ananda and the Ambassador Dining Room opened this Indian restaurant in the space in 2019, various restaurants and businesses had been in the space for more than 80 years. The team at Peerce's has done an amazing job renovating the space and making it truly stunning. There's dark wood paneling, mural or wallpapered walls, stained glass, fireplaces, and a gorgeous patio (although too cold on the evening we visited in January to enjoy). The service was also great - very friendly and helpful. The menu is varied. They serve North Indian/Punjabi dishes, with lots of seafood specialties. We ordered a few things to share: Fish curry (wild-caught black cod in spicy coconut curry sauce), Malai Kofta (vegetable croquettes and spiced cream sauce), Palak Paneer (organic creamed spinach and homemade paneer), Bhindi Pyaaz (okra, onions, and traditional spices), and classic naan. I thought the food was in general. The okra, palak paneer, and naan were also classic but didn't stand out as anything terribly special. The fish curry was fine as well but I found the portion size very small for the price ($37). The malai kofta is where they really lost me. I've had malai kofta lots of times (I was a vegetarian/vegan for around 10 years, and it was one of my favorite dishes to order during those years - and I still love it today as a very failed vegetarian), and this version really confused me. The menu led me to expect the traditional creamy sauce, but Peerce's version looked and tasted like tomato paste. It was overly sweet and tasted quite concentrated, underseasoned, and bland. It was a bright red and fell very flat. I wouldn't say that any of the dishes blew me away, but the malai kofta was a disappointment. We did order a couple of glasses of wine (they offer a few Indian wines which we were keen to try and enjoyed), and the service and ambiance were topnotch. Unfortunately - for me - the food was just underwhelming. Since it's a bit of a hike for those of us that live in Baltimore City, I don't expect to make the trip to eat at Peerce's again any time soon sadly.

For deeper explanation: The price was decent on the takeout menu that we got a few days prior, so we decided to give it a try. But when we called before driving over, we were misled about the selection, both regarding dietary restrictions and selection in general. And when we arrived, we were told the coupons were not valid not the complimentary drink, because those were old menus. But it was same flyer one of the staff gave me a couple days before and that they had at the front of the restaurant which I grabbed to double check pricing and deals... the fine print said was 2022, which I missed because why would I question that anyway if it was from the restaurant that same day. The food was mediocre... save for the samosas. The bathrooms were not great either, and in need of repairs. And when we went to pay it turned out the price per person was much higher than their flyer stated. There were no signs and no mention of the actual price, even with me carrying the flyer from their front area in with me. The price per person was similar to the Indian lunch buffets that I go to closer to my home, but those places have a much higher selection. The selection at India Palace was very small, which for the expected price was not great, but far worse for what the cost actually was (again, the flyers they hand out are the wrong price!). From start to finish, I feel it ended up being a waste of time and money, and left a very bad impression all around.
