My first review of 2026 goes to Bombay Nights for their EXCEPTIONAL lunch buffet. I enjoyed myself so much, I think their lunch buffet will be my New Year's Day tradition going forward. The price per person is about $22 and I was beyond impressed with the offerings. I didn't get photos because I was so hungry and in awe. Beverages include mango lassi and hot chai - both delicious! I counted at least twelve entree dish options including curry goat, butter chicken, chicken biryani, and mushroom masala. So many delicious options to choose from or, be like me, and have a little of everything! Every table gets fresh naan (my husband said it was the best he's ever had) and there were dessert options including a favorite of mine, rice pudding. I'm not usually big on buffets, but we had a large family lunch planned, so it seemed like a good option and it certainly was! We were seated immediately and invited to the buffet line. There were options for everyone, and everything was hot and seemed fresh. The naan bread was probably the best I've had and is included with the buffet! I'm here traveling solo, although I lived here a long while back. I've answered the calling for crab cakes (twice), and Indian cuisine is always a good choice. I searched a bit and thought this place was my best option. I was met at the front door and taken to a seat of my preference. They quickly Brought me papadum that were crispy and not oily. With a side of chutneys that were obviously made in house. I ordered - vegetable pakora - saag paneer - chicken korma - garlic naan - and a side of raita The pakora came out first, hot and crispy. They were super flavorful and the vegetables starred as the highlight of the dish. Ok, I'll speed this up for us: the naan was toasty on the outside and warm and light inside. The korma was filled with large chunks of chicken in an airy cashew sauce. The saag was a deep rich green and yet still quite creamy. And the paneer was that perfect texture that I've never been able to replicate at home. The raita was thick and creamy and a tiny bit sweet, the perfect counterbalance to the heat of the entrées. I love Indian food. I've enjoyed it from London to LA. Not every restaurant I've been to is a gem, but Bombay Nights definitely is. The staff is endearingly friendly, the food was meticulously prepared and garnished... and it was delicious. If you're ever near this place and craving Indian, please check it out. Bombay nights is a quaint Indian spot in Whitemarsh. It was date night and babe loves Indian. It touts an almost five star rating so I made it our first stop. Of course we got some of those crunchy chips with the sweet and spicy dip sauce. It was pretty standard and the chips don't actually have a taste. I didn't love the vegetable samosas but the aloo tikka was amazing. I do wish it had a dipping sauce although they are good without it. I got the chicken tikka masala and it was delicious. I could not stop eating. I ate myself into a tizzy. It was really good. The ambience could use a little work but the food itself is 5 stars. I had a wonderful dinner while on the road. The pani puri was excellent and the goat biryani was one of the best I've had. Staff was very pleasant and efficient. Sweet Annapurna this is some incredible food. My boyfriend and I had our first date over Indian food, which was also our first time having Indian food. Our relationship has been full of exploration and a million firsts. We like to explore. We travel. We walk around our own neighborhood and city and have random adventures. And we eat. Of all the new cuisines we have tried in our ten years together, I am most pleased that we were both willing to meet a stranger, for a strange meal that fateful evening. And while that date did not take place at Bombay Nights, we discovered Bombay Nights because we took that first step. This past weekend, we were hanging out with friends and one said that they didn't really like Indian food; that it all tasted muddy. My boyfriend and I were aghast, but also sympathetic. We remember how difficult it was to find decent Indian food when we were living together in Towson. We remember ordering delivery, ordering at least three different entrees, and how they all looked and tasted exactly the same - none of it good. I think, when it's time and our friends are feeling brave, Bombay Nights is going to be the place where we take them because WOW, everything that we have ever ordered there has been mind-blowing, including last night's take away.... except that one time when my boyfriend elected spice level five- Indian spice level - and it was SOOOOO spicy that I swear steam must have come out of his ears. Yesterday we had an all chicken extravaganza in the comfort of our own home. - Chicken Choilla as an appetizer. This was a shot in the dark that met a bullseye. It's chicken pieces in a spice rub with some sort of fresh herb. It is delicious, but we had plenty left over because the rest of our meal was hogging the spotlight. - Mango Chicken (White meat chicken cooked with fresh mango, onion, tomato curry, and mustard seeds). This was the first time I have had mango chicken, even though I have seen it on different menus. I love mango, but I thought it might make the dish too sweet. It doesn't. I don't know if they have a magician in the kitchen at Bombay Nights, or what, but the dish was beautifully balanced, with just enough spice to make me come back for more, and more. - Butter Chicken (Tandoori boneless thigh meat chicken delicately spiced with Indian herbs, then cooked in buttery sauce). A classic, and my boyfriend's regular go-to. It's like ordering General Tso's from a Chinese restaurant, or Drunken Noodles from a Thai place. You know it's kinda basic, but it's so good that you can't not get it. If you're looking to introduce a friend to Indian food, recommend the butter chicken. You usually can't go wrong. Bombay Night's butter chicken is on a whole different level. This is absolutely the best I have ever tasted - it's so remarkably creamy. Dip a spoon into the sauce and lick it. That's all that it's gonna take. - Tandoori Chicken (Chicken marinated in yogurt with mild spices, roasted in Tandoori clay oven). Ever wanted to eat like a half chicken all by yourself? Once you taste this, you will not stop. The chicken is so tender and wonderfully spiced. There's no sauce here, and throw-away veg, and it's way more money than getting a bucket of chicken and a couple sides. If you're squeamish about spending money on good food, you probably shouldn't even being considering this place. BUT if you're willing to spend a bit of money for a culinary journey, this is a sure fire winner. One of these days we're going to dine in. I've read there's a belly dancer. This place is a perfect 10! There are only a few places I trust to have consistent food quality and this is my absolute favorite. My typical order(for myself and my husband) is Salmon Tikka, Navratan Korma, and Peshwari Naan-all of which are always delicious! I read through the reviews for this restaurant and though I don't typically post reviews, in this case I felt I had to. To anyone posting a negative review or anything less than a perfect 5 stars---I have no idea what you could realistically be complaining about. The people are always kind and accommodating, the food is consistent and delicious, the price is exactly what would be expected, and the spice level is able to be adjusted to your specific preferences. Did my little homework and research as I drove down 95 and found this beautiful place with excellent food in a gorgeous neighborhood. really proper Southern type shopping center with a lot of access to different stores and other eateries. The lunch buffet was $18 and was well worth it. The food was very good. The tandoori chicken was a little skimpy and not enough meat but you have the ability to keep refilling which makes up for the small portions. All else was just as good as New York. Death Row ratings are specific meals where if I were on death row and to be executed tomorrow; I would choose a meal from my Death Row list. The food takes a bit but the wait was worth it. The food is delicious, they butter chicken was creamy and savory. My sister and husband tried my meal and they also thought it was delicious. I didn't find the dish to be spicy so I will try a 10 next time. My husband really liked his kabob and ordered it again the following time we visited. Bombay Nights has the best Indian food in the area! Their food is so flavorful and it warms the heart in all the best ways. Whenever I eat here, I tend to WAY overeat, but I never regret it. I love the Butter Chicken and Lamb Pasanda the most, but I've never ordered something I didn't like. The portions are generous in both the entrees and the rice provided. However, I love the breads more than the rice, so I always order nan or the bread basket because parantha is a favorite of mine. Sometimes, I add on samosas too because, why not?! My only critique is that the food leans sweeter and less spicy than I normally like. However, I have notice that this is a pretty normal practice for cultural foods in America. I must also note that I've only ever ordered take-out or delivery, so I can't speak to the dine-in experience. I haven't had any bad experiences with my orders or food through these methods, so that's definitely a plus! Check it out if you can :) read more

The food here is pretty decent. They can make dishes as spicy or mild as you like - with good flavors on both. The vegetable pakora is ok but it lacks variety and was primarily onions. The tikka Marsala was nice, but a few of the chicken pieces had a tough/odd texture. The lamb saag was nice-and is better with a medium spice level. Just went to Bombay for the first time and they had an event that pretty much took up the whole restaurant. There were two tables in the front for the public to eat. We asked for mild we got hot spice. The kids were running all around. We witness the kids playing in the water pitchers with their hands that they were giving to people. Terrible experience! Then the kids were running in circles around us as we were trying to eat. We told the owner and all she did was take the tables and block us in so the kids would not run around to our table. We didn't even eat. We asked for our food to go. Recommendation: when you have events, close the restaurant to the public. read more
