Ordered online through the toast app. The restaurant can be hard to miss if you don't have your gps on. The workers in the restaurant I saw when I came in didn't wear masks. I ordered a shaved noodles beef soup in medium spicy, and this medium spicy noodle dish in the appetizer section. I have no complaints on the food! I'm glad I got medium spicy because because meals were spicy!!! I was able to finish the soup but I have the appetizer for leftovers!!! One thing that just made my experience three stars is that when I was going to pick up my food from the box, there was a long black hair sticking to the plastic bag near the knot. I still ate the food but I couldn't shake it off. I know it wasn't my hair because my hair is bleached blonde.

Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior and interior! Fahrenheit serves authentic Sichuan cuisine. It's not very big inside but dine in is available. Lots of foods but you can customize your spice level! They are known for their hot pot soup bowls, which has potatoes, noodles, veggies, fish balls, and a meat of choice (veggies, chicken, lamb, beef, or seafood) We also got the cold noodles and spicy Sichuan fish fillets. The cold noodles were really refreshing. The fish was a bit salty which obscured the spice a bit. They also have noodle soups and you can choose shaved, thick, or thin noodles. I'd come back next time if I'm craving some Asian comfort food!

from to left- chicken chow fen, chicken potstickers, onion cake, and pork potstickers. (not in picture - dan dan noodles)

Hidden gem. packs each bite with flavor. May have a wait, but worth your time. Portions are much larger than expected, as in multiple people can share each dish.

I love Taiwanese hotpot and so excited to find one in the DC area. They were easy to order on their website and they offer curbside pick up! Just call their number and they will bring it out to you. It surprisingly traveled pretty well after a 30 min drive back to DC. The beef was a little tough after reheating but I think that's because they fully cooked the beef since this was a To Go order. The soup is flavorful, however, I think it would be good if they can include some dipping sauce in their To Go order to enhance the flavor as that's how I am costumed to Taiwanese hotpot (dip in sauce). Looking forward to try it on the traditional burner when the pandemic is over!

So I will first say all of my experience with this restaurant has been through UberEats which in the beginning was great! Over the past couple of months things have seriously taken a turn. The food just isn't as good as it once was. I ordered the spring rolls and they were gross. They were cold and looked like someone's leftovers from the day before. Not crispy at all almost soggy and this didn't appear to be a storage problem. I usually order the Chongqing with ground pork and I'm not sure what they did with the broth but it's super watered down now. It's a shame. This place used to be my favorite. But not so much anymore.

Don't let the mixed reviews prevent you from trying out this mom and pop authentic Chinese eatery. This is a no-frills restaurant (there's something about stacks of food storage boxes in the corner that make it so down to earth) specializing in Asian comfort food, to include items such a beef noodle soup, Chinese sausage, dan dan noodles, and mapo tofu. We came here on a winter night for their 'hot soups', aka personal hot pots. There are many different types of broth and meats to choose from, but I opted for the beef hot soup. It came with a generous portion of meat, and don't let the size of the bowl deceive you. The bowl was actually quite deep and had tons of fillings for the hotpot. It could have easily been shared between two people. Definitely a great spot if you want a quick bite to eat, or carry home traditional Asian comfort food.

We came here for lunch on Sunday at around 1pm and there was a bit of a wait for a table. I got the spicy beef noodle soup with shaved noodles and it was really good! There was a good amount of spice and the noodles were cooked to the perfect texture. Still soft, but yet chewy. There was a good amount of meat... Some of the meat was particularly fatty, but the meat, in general, was really tender. I wish there was more veggies in my noodle soup, but overall, I would definitely come back and get this dish again! It was the perfect way to start off my cold Sunday morning. My friend also got the Thai hot soup and it looked delicious. The hot pot bowl was filled to the brim with various veggies and seafood and she even had some to take as leftovers! Only thing is if you're planning to pay separately, be aware that they may not be able to split the check as you'd like. I believe that we couldn't split the check separately and had to just split the bill three-way so just something to keep in mind.

I LOVE hot pot! My wife and I have been coming here regularly. We always order the spicy beef soup base, spice level "very spicy" to share. We also get extra pork, lamb and tofu. Compared to other hot pot places, the price is very reasonable sharing the soup pot. You have to order the extras, but even so it is cheaper than places like The Hot Spot which is a flat price per person. Overall, love this place, especially on a cold night like tonight. Highly recommend if you like hot pot. If you've never had hot pot, it is a pot of soup base, they serve with a flame under to keep it hot. You cook the very thinly sliced meat, or tofu or vegetables in the pot, and then dip in a dipping sauce. If I could make one recommendation, it would be to add a station to make your own dipping sauce, with Chinese bbq, hot chili oil, chili flakes, soy sauce, garlic, fish sauce, etc (all the goodies to make your own custom dipping sauce to taste). A second recommendation would be to add Sichuan numbing peppercorns in the soup too, but I know some people probably would prefer without it.

This is a no nonsense operation! We loved it! They are seating everyone outside and they put up tents if it rains. The beef soup was fantastic! It came out piping hot with rare beef, Napa cabbage, tofu, tomato, vermicelli and some other stuff- delicious! And it was gluten free. My company ordered the same and a dozen dumplings. He loved the pork dumplings. You have to specify if you want steamed (or was it boiled?) dumplings or the pan fried. Next time, he will try the pan fried. The service was awesome and they sanitize everything entirely between customers. There were only 2-3 of them and they keep it moving. Thanks for the experience! It was worth the drive from DC!

We've ordered takeout a number of times over the past 1.5-2 years, probably about 12 times. I really want to like it, but am growing increasingly frustrated. The good: their good is good, different and flavorful (as long as you don't get a no spice - that's bland). My husband had the Kung pao tonight and said it was really good. The bad: Wait times: online ordering routinely (as in pretty often) gives a 20 min wait time when actual wait is far longer. Tonight's wait time was near an hour when our order said 15-20 min. Spice level: seems inconsistent. I've had no sprice - which is bland. Tonight I had mild and it was the same spice as my husband's king pao medium spice. Meat: I ordered #7 chongqing which seemed to only have 1-2 tbsp of pork. For $12.50 it's a bowl of spicy broth, noodles and a little meat (bok choy extra)

Solidly average place with good vibes! Enjoyed sitting in the small mom and pop and people watching. The beef hot soup extra spicy was quite spicy, but not very yummy. I liked the liangpi and the veggies.

I think this restaurant is overhyped for both the food and service they offer. First, I arrived at the restaurant when it just opened at 11am. There was a party of 3 already seated but it took the server good 10 minutes or so to take both tables' orders. Once the server came around to take our order, my food was served after 30 minutes or so. This made the eating experience rather awkward because my husband's food did not arrive until good 5-7 minutes after my order arrived. Next, I went ahead and started eating my meal because I was in fear of the noodles getting soggy in the soup. Well there was no need for that as a concern! Why?! It was already soggy, mushy, and over boiled. Perplexing and disappointing given that my table was customers #2 of the day, and there was only one other table (of 3) right next to us. So then my husband's food came out. His noodles were even more over boiled and soggy. It was practically dissolving in his soup and barely possible to feel like you're chewing or eating anything. In sum, I will not be returning to eat here again. Given the slow service and long wait time for food, and the food not tasting all that good, I don't see why I should bother.

Round up to 4 stars…read more Discovered Kyuramen through an online search, its menu immediately piqued interest with a broad selection of comforting Japanese fare. A recent visit began with the Japanese Fried Oyster and Takoyaki. Both were competently executed--the oysters notably fresh and delicately crisp, the takoyaki properly tender--but the accompanying sauces leaned noticeably sweet, slightly masking the savory depth one might hope for (a more restrained, teriyaki-forward profile would better suit the oysters). The Shoyu Chicken Ramen proved more compelling. Its chicken-based broth, while lighter than traditional pork tonkotsu, delivered a clean yet satisfying umami presence. The chicken itself was expertly prepared--tender, juicy, and well-integrated into the bowl. Overall, a promising addition to the local ramen scene, and one worth revisiting to explore further offerings.

For the food, the appetizer platter is a great deal for the price and offers a nice variety. The popcorn chicken had a great Sichuan kick that I really enjoyed but wasn't overly spicy. I was really excited for the beef ramen, but it was a massive letdown. The beef itself was super tough and lacked flavor. While the broth was well balanced and clean, there simply wasn't enough of it - even though I asked to skip the corn. It feels like this place focuses a lot of energy on the interior decor, promos, and aesthetics, while the quality of the main entrees hasn't quite caught up. I will say a toast for the freshest fish And for the stories of the days When the chef reeled them in I will wave my chopsticks For the long-time locals lined up On their nights, they were nice enough I will raise an Ichiban For my servers working hard And for the nights ushered in To the back sushi bar I figured a sea shanty for one of my all-time favorite sushi restaurants was in order. Because you know, they are serving raw fish and those fish are caught by fishermen. If you love sushi, I'm fairly certain you cannot go wrong at Tachibana McLean. It's hard to believe the years I spent here might have been a part of the glory days at Tachibana. When they lost their Itamae and were weathered by covid lockdowns, I think the pace of service changed. But the quality of food never has and I've enjoyed every meal here before and since. This is a classic sushi restaurant so you will not get any sort of innovative fusion rolls here. What you will get is a strict adherence to old school tradition and a focus on quality that is worth a visit. It's hard to say favorite dishes because there are so many delicious choices here. If you are sitting at the main sushi bar, you first may enjoy a free gift of whatever the Ittamae is featuring. If you like that fish, then order more of it. For sushi and sashimi, get what you enjoy here because it's fresh and lovely. Do not miss the Philadelphia rolls here because they are extra creamy and the scallions make them a real delight. I also love the New York roll and the spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls. Back in the day, my go-to was a spicy, crunchy salmon roll. This was always a special request but they humored me since I was a regular. I was also forever asking for a very thin slice of jalapeño in my tuna roll but you could only get that in the less-friendly and ambient sushi cafe down the street. Years later, times have changed and you can now order jalapeños, as well as tempura crumbs and spicy mayo on any roll. They have so many vegetarian rolls here, as well, so that is a whole experience if choose. You can order Japanese pickles, fermented soybean and scallion rolls, a plum and shiso roll, a gourd roll, a cucumber roll and an avocado roll. I so enjoy a big plate of veggie and shrimp tempura here. The tempura batter is not thick and just right. I also have very much liked the katsu's here: either crispy Berkshire pork loin or crispy chicken. It's an old familiar taste which you should not miss out on. The bento dinner boxes are also awesome. I usually get salmon, beef negimake, shrimp and veggie tempura, shumai dumplings and salmon sashimi. A delightful treat. The buckwheat noodles and udon soups are a bit plain and while they are classically good, i more enjoy the sushi. As for the cold sake, I recommend: the Shochikubai Nigori, the Junmai Ginjo and the cloudy pearl junmai if it's on hand. They also have Choya plum wine and a beer and wine list. You will love the green tea presentation in the gorgeous pottery, as well as that they are diligent on tea refills. Their desserts are nice but make sure you at least taste green tea ice cream once. You can get it here! It's not easy to find this at restaurants, even sushi restaurants, recently.

Noodles are always perfect and the seafood is present, but not a huge portion - so you can focus on the broth. My only complaint? The lobster broth in the spider ramen dish is not listed as an option for the "make your own" bowl...which would allow me to perfectly customize it.
