A gem in Kirkland. My husband has lived in Kirkland for most of his life and he always told me about this place. He scolded me for going to Top Pot cause it's pricey so I started coming up to Factory and I haven't turned back. I usually get a dozen and let them pick. I'm boring so I just like plain old raised glazed or chocolate and it doesn't disappoint. I like their donut holes. I mean, you can't go wrong with anything here. I needed to get 150+ donuts for an event in a very short time. I visited a few donut places and nobody was able to fulfill this large order for a Sunday in such a short time. I was about to despair until I came to Factory Donuts. The person helping me reassured me they would able to fulfill this order and was so friendly, helpful and kind while she helped me to choose the flavors and process a very large order. 2 days later I came to pick up all the donuts and they were ready to go. I realized as I opened the boxes later she had thrown in many free donuts in addition to the order I had placed and given me dozens of speciality donuts! Everybody absolutely loved the donuts and wanted to know where I got them. Everything looked and tasted amazing. Factory Donuts is my go-to in Kirkland! I often do trainings and I'll always come here for the donuts! Parking is super easy, as this shop is located at the end of a small strip mall. The interior is unassuming and pretty small but I'm not sure how many people plan to stay and dine their after buying something? I had a great experience with the woman a lot of people seem to complain about. Was she pretty quick between selections, by saying, "next"...? Yea sure, but I'm not sensitive and that didn't bother me. Most recently I needed 4 dozen donuts and including fritters I ended up with 5 boxes. As I attempted to carry them all and get through the door she exclaimed "oh let me help you!" and proceeded to help me to my car! I'm not much of a donut expert, and out of the multiple different kids of donuts I bought most recently I only tried the buttermilk bar. WOW! delicious! Super soft on the inside and a bit more firm and crunchy on the outside with the most exceptional flavor. At all of my trainings most everyone asks where the donuts are from and exclaim, "these are SO good!". The fritters, all 3 flavors, seem to be an exceptionally big hit. read more

This has become our go to donut place during the pandemic. I remember trying them years back (10?) and was not impressed and we did not return. This is a great family owned and operated donut shop. Like most donut shops, it closes relatively early in the day. Come early for the best selection. There's a lot of variety here, and I like all the items I've tried. The donuts are nice and clean tasting - - not greasy. Prices are also reasonable and tend to be lower than many other donut shops. Don't expect anything fancy. It's a small shop, but a good one with a huge selection. I see many people complaining about the owner in their reviews. This is an Asian owned and operated store. Think of your stereotypical (no offense meant) Chinese restaurant--you know, where you are told to hurry up and order and sometimes it seems like your being there is a bother. Nothing is meant by it. It's just a cultural thing, so get used to it and stop taking offense from it. If you can't deal with it, then go to some other donut place that has higher prices and serves greasy donuts but gives you the kiss your feet service you want. I'll keep coming here because the food is good, and the owner is actually quite nice once you get to know her a little and can ignore her ingrained idiosyncrasies. As far as we're concerned, Factory Donuts is the best donut shop in Kirkland. Sure, the lady who owns the shop could be a Seinfeld caricature - "the donut nazi", but seriously.....aren't you really there for the donuts? I'd be cranky too if I was baking at 2am for the daily morning rush of customers. Exceptional fritters that are light and fluffy, not soaked in oil. Plus, they offer a great variety to choose from - apple, cherry and blueberry. Not many other shops offer more than just the apple fritter. All of the donut selections are made fresh daily. I am particularly fond of the maple bar. It can sometimes be a tricky flavor to get just right. Real maple flavor, not fake processed syrup. The devil's food cake donuts are a wonderful chocolate treat. Be sure to arrive there early enough to get what selections you want before they sell out. They open at 5am - we've been there at 9 in the morning and often times, the choices by then are more limited. We go to Factory Donuts for the consistently delicious donuts, not the customer service. One of the two best donut shops in the area (along with Countryside in Bothell). Super yummy donuts that are flavorful, crisp, and roughly $1 as they should be. Not overpriced and mushy like the garbage Top Pot sells. My favorites are the blueberry fritters (yum!) and maple buttermilk (the best I've ever had anywhere), but everything I've had has been great. Choo, the owner, and the phenomenal team of women make these donuts fresh every day - and each donut is fried to perfection. The apple fritters are my family's personal favorite. The fresh taste has been consistent all these years - never once have we left disappointed. Donuts stay fresh a good couple days, and the variety and choices are endless. I even love their brand muffins!! I have catered donuts for party events, and every guest has always noted the donuts to be a highlight on every dessert table! I recently held a Disco party event and Choo custom designed the donuts in retro color with toppings like Oreo, sprinkles, and chocolate chips - it looked fantastic and tasted even better! Choo is also a gem of a human being to work with! On a personal note, I am such a supporter of small- family owned businesses, and have never met a more dedicated, passion baking team! Watching Choo and her team of all women baker's work is inspiring. I was a bit leery to try this place given some of the reviews about service, but curiosity about their selection won out, and I was not disappointed. It's not a large store, just a row of stools along the window, and there was a small crowd hanging out and chitchatting; seemed like one of those regular Sunday morning meetup type of things, and there was steady traffic. Plenty of parking. The man behind the counter was friendly and while he was brisk and efficient, he did not rush me as I made my selections. They had SEVEN different kinds of donut holes, including red velvet! I got an assortment and several of them were buttermilk based, so a little denser; I think the chocolate (regular cake donut) was my favorite. Several different kinds of fritters that I'll have to go back to try; I went with my favorite apple to start, and it had that wonderful blend of crisp/crunch edges, moist interior, and it was packed with apple chunks and apple flavor. Chocolate iced buttermilk was surprisingly tender. They definitely have a wider selection than any other donut place I can recall, between the standard configurations and then the different flavors/icing of each kind. For instance, in crullers, old fashioned and fritters, there were multiple flavors of each, and then in cake donuts there were both chocolate and vanilla but with unusual toppings like one that looked like Froot Loops. I figure skated next door at Snoking as a kid, and my mom would bring me here for a treat. I don't remember bad experiences back then, but I was also a teenager. Last Friday, I brought my 6yo and 9yo daughters in and the older woman scolded them for taking to long to choose a donut and said "Hurry up girls, I don't want a line. You need to buy and get out." There was nobody else in the shop. I was shocked and just said hurry up girls, but after I left I thought that I should've defended them. Both of them were like, that lady was rude. I've been wanting to try these donuts for a while but never felt as though I had reason to get at least a half dozen until recently. Yes, it sounds ridiculous... why not just get one? Because I wanted opinions from others on what they thought of them too... and the opportunity to have more than one, just in case ;) Anyhow, finally got some donuts (and a mocha!) and they were GREAT!!! Soft, and sweet but also nicely crunchy around the edges! Yum!! My favorite donut is the chocolate-glazed custard-filled and I tried it from Factory Donuts and it does not disappoint. It's so very rich and decadent that I doubt I'd have it at my next visit, only because I assume my next visit will be in a few minutes (or within the next few days) and I want to taste more of their yummy offerings!! One amazing treat here is definitely a sweet indulgence... I recommend cutting them in half (or fourths!) and sharing with others so you can taste a bunch of different ones. Seriously good stuff! Everyone else seemed to thoroughly enjoy their donuts too. The "traditional" ones disappeared from the box almost instantly and then happily enjoyed too! The blueberry scone we had looked amazing, but I think because everyone was thinking "DONUTS" it wasn't our favorite in the box. The apple fritter, maple bar, even just the glazed were all very well received! I just realized that I didn't even take a picture of any of these treats! Delicious donuts but soup nazi situation. That sums it up. My family has given them our business for years. We loved their donuts. Jenny is sometimes nice sometimes mean. The other gal in there is unbelievably rude. Both have been rude to me over the years but it was a flat out soup nazi situation this morning. I was humiliated for trying to place an order with my child. My kid left in tears because she wanted something different but the woman working did not have the patience to even listen to me and let me hear my child. Only one person was in the shop when we arrived. They need better customer service. We were told that during the pandemic we could place a to go order and have it ready when we got there. Well we tried that and they had not put our order together in Advance despite saying they remembered the text. They did not remember what we wanted and it was like why did we even bother texting? They need an in-door and an out-door. Otherwise people come in both doors and it's too small space to create a line so people get cut in front of left and right. Gets very frustrating when it's crowded. They also need to have doors propped open or have hand sanitizer right inside the doors. They're not doing enough to deal with the current pandemic...You can't get in without pulling on the door and you can't really easily pull a heavy door without using your hand. It's not sanitary. I'm done with the rude service and nasty attitude these people have. read more
