This place is wonderful. It's one of my Husband's favorite donut shops. They have excellent branding, great coffee, excellent donuts. But they are so incredibly expensive! You can get their donuts much cheaper at QFC but then you lack the experience, which is a bummer. My review is rated for stars for high cost. Their staff members are usually decent, but it has a high turnover rate so you never know exactly what you get. I don't think too many people expect too much from the customer service at a donut shop. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I love that this place is local and that they have multiple locations all over the greater Seattle area. My favorite is there raspberry glaze donuts This place is definitely a Seattle favorite read more

I needed to hang around this area for about 30 min this morning so I remember there being a Top Pot nearby and I went there. I had a Raspberry old fashioned and a drip coffee in the small eating area. Nice guy and gal staffing the place but the place really wasn't too busy. Maybe it's the time I went? Anyways, this is a good quality donut shop and it's nice to see several locations around the area for convenience. Thanks Top Pot! read more

Updating as this location has improved a lot over the years. The Americano is terrific here, and the maple bar and glazed doughnuts are a great choice. The doughnut holes are great value and tasty!! Glad to have come back a few times and see this location continue to thrive. read more

I love Top Pot Doughnuts and always want to get one when we are visiting somewhere that has them. This location is in a darling area. The people working there when we visited were super friendly and helpful. We had a lemon and a pumpkin old fashioned, they were fantastic. read more

I ordered 3 donuts and shared them with my friend. Here is my review on each donut. Glazed pumpkin: amazing. Would buy again in a heartbeat. Egg nog: not very egg noggy. A bit stale and fake tasting. Oreo: very heavy. If you're in the mood for just one donut, get this one since you won't be able to eat anymore after haha. So filling! The hot apple cider is great, too but not worth coming here for. The coffee is pretty solid and standard so if you're feeling coffee and a donut, then you're in luck. read more

I came here yesterday on my way home from an appointment and got some sort of raspberry and an apple fritter. The raspberry one was good, but I have never had such a dry apple fritter. I've had day old donuts from other places less dry than this one. Wouldn't go out of my way to return. Much better options in/around Kirkland. Employee was friendly enough. read more

What a nice gem in Kirkland area. They don't necessarily have ton of flavors or bacon bits (hubby's favorite), but the dozen sampler we got was a delightful addition to our morning. read more

Why does this have barely any stars? I go to this Top Pot a lot and they are very nice, considerate and friendly. Its in a really cute space! There is lots of doughnuts there too. The coffee is really good. My favorite is the plain coffee with the chocolate bar doughnut. Perfect place i come here like 4 times a week and never had any bad service. Just its tiny then average any bigger and I would wish I could do 6 stars! read more

Coming through the door, as my husband was reaching for his mask following a sip of coffee, an employee abruptly yelled, "put your mask on now!" He responded with, "that's exactly what I'm doing," and she said, "I know..." So...she knew...yet she blasted us anyway? Ridiculous and absolutely uncalled for. Maybe customer service isn't her thing - hope the management discovers that soon. We won't be back. read more

Coffee was horrible. I ordered a sugar free vanilla breve. When it was ready it was undrinkable. I added some Splenda and water. Their beans are very over- roasted and taste burnt. There was one person working but I was the only customer, which I should have been my tipoff that the coffee was lousy. It was around 8:30 in the morning and the place was a ghost town. The glazed raised donut I ordered was massively overpriced and not fresh. read more

Always love a Hot Pot Donut. This location is friendly, fast and well managed. The donuts are the stars of the show, but the variety of beverage choices is a strong second place. It's a great coffee shop feel, that is both warm and inviting. Stop in and give them a try or make it another visit and continue to support this team. read more

Craving donuts while visiting Kirkland from Texas. I've had Top Pot years ago in downtown Seattle so I'm familiar with the quality and flavors. I don't know about the other bad reviews but these are tasty, hearty and soft donuts! I didn't take a pick of the half dozen we bought because we dug in too fast . I really liked the strawberry glazed yeast donut and the blueberry cake. I actually packed the raspberry chocolate cake and chocolate frosted cake for my trip back and let me tell you they were just as delicious eating the next day! Top Pot is a classic... service was good! Don't pass it up if you're looking for a good fulfilling donut! read more

I have no idea why this place has less than 5 stars! We have been here many times and everything here is great! The doughnuts are phenomenal and always super super fresh. The lattes and coffee are good. Service is kind and quick. This is the place we go when we want GOOD doughnuts. They have the classic flavors and a few special / fancy ones like Raspberry glaze. What on earth more are people looking for when they give less than 5 stars?! 10/10 recommend. read more

YUM! It's dangerous having a doughnut place within walking distance, but I'm so happy this place is finally open! We came in and decided to get a half dozen to take home with us. The guy who served us was really friendly and helpful. It was really hard to only pick six doughnuts so he made some suggestions for what was popular and was very patient with our indecisiveness. The place is obviously very new, but it's also clean and the doughnuts were fresh. I do like that the doughnut case has one of everything in it, and when you pick an doughnut they get a fresh one from the trays on the side. There's also Top Pot merch you can get as well from a little range of options on the side. While we were there, it started bucketing down really crazily, so we decided to stay a few minutes and wait out the storm. The guy who had been serving us was super nice and offered us water while we waited, and also put our doughnut box in a plastic bag so they wouldn't get wet. I'll definitely be back. After all, this will be my new local! read more

Donuts are some of our families favorites. Cons are the pricing which doesn't match the quality of the product. The donuts are good, but they're not $3 a piece good. read more

I came in here for a Sunday morning donut and coffee last week. The staff was very friendly. I rarely eat donuts, but when I do, it's usually a Bavarian cream. That is the crème de la crème of donuts. This one was average, but good. Here comes the disappointing part...wait for it...the coffee. It was 9am and it wasn't very hot. And it also wasn't very good. With a name like Top Pot, I would expect some higher quality Joe. This place wins for proximity to fresh donuts. However, you'd be much better off taking your donut to go and hitting up the Starbucks a few steps away for your coffee. read more

Delicious doughnuts! It's hard to find a good, local doughnut spot, but this place takes the cake. We love their glazed and fritter doughnuts, and always love trying one of their fun specials when they have them. The staff is very friendly and it's super fast service. read more

Everyone else has been fine so 5 stars for them but 1 star for one employee, the tall Caucasian man with glasses and unshaven face who blurts/yells during his sentences. I noticed every time it was with him he would charge me extra amounts for the larger size of the coffee than I actually got or 1 donut for the price of 2 donuts. I didn't notice at first since I thought it was maybe just tax but I started to catch on because all the other employees would charge the normal prices. Then I started to mention it and he stopped. That is fraud / stealing and the management should definitely tell that employee not to do that anymore, seeing as he thought I looked like I could be taken advantage of, I definitely won't be back. read more

This is in a nice area near Juanita Beach. It's in an area full of restaurants and shops, so parking is where you can find it even if it's in front of one of the other shops. The doughnuts are pretty good and at a middle of the line price. I had a lemon old fashioned, and my girlfriend had a maple bar. Of the two, I liked my lemon old fashioned. The maple bar wasn't quite mapley enough for me. They have a full list of barista prepared beverages such as the usual coffee suspects as well as Italian sodas. Not sure why this place has a non-stellar rating, the donuts are really good. Its our go-to donut place in Kirkland area.

I don't think I've ever once had bad service or a bad doughnut at any Top Pot location! They're always there for me when I'm in need of a old fashioned doughnut! I have family members equally happy with their raised doughnuts too. I love this location... grab a doughnut or six then hit Juanita Beach Park. Their doughnuts are always fresh and delicious! Also, Jasmine is AMAZING! Top Pot was smart to hire her! She goes above and beyond with kindness and customer service! She earns her sprinkles for sure! read more

I'm not sure if any other donut is as satisfying as Top Pot. They are packed with flavor and very dense. Each bite proves how quality they are. I don't understand any of the poor reviews on yelp, but looking more closely they appear to be for the coffee. I would just ignore those reviews as this is definitely an establishment that is focused on donuts as their product and they are doing a darn good job of it. The bavarian cream is so incredible! Each donut was filling and delicious. It isn't your typical donut shop where you can gobble up 2-3 donuts without even being satisfied or content....then you kick yourself that you ate that many donuts in one sitting! We had the bavarian cream, salted caramel old-fashioned, chocolate sprinkled cake, powdered sugar, chocolate on chocolate cake, chocolate glaze, and strawberry sprinkled cake. They were all top notch. We cut them up into little bite-size pieces so we could sample each and every one. This is definitely a MUST when visiting the Seattle area.....I don't think we can eat any other donut again. read more

Official doughnuts of the Seahawks and officially my favorite bacon maple bar! Top Pot is a local fave for a reason - they are dense, sweet and hard to beat. One thing they do frequently is sprinkle doughnuts with the colors of the local High Schools! That is pretty cool! And there is always a seasonal flavor which is usually a 10/10! read more

Top Pot is finally in the 'hood, hooray! We love Top Pot donuts - especially the kid - and this location does not disappoint, with a good selection of fresh, tasty donuts, friendly staff, and a nice hot latte to go alongside. There's outdoor seating that is really pleasantly located a bit away from the traffic, to sit and enjoy a treat on a nice day. The interior is nice, clean and new, with lots of windows to let in the light. This is a great addition to the Juanita neighborhood! read more

I've been to various Top Pot locations in the Seattle area and this one was my least favorite. The doughnuts were pretty good and I'd say worth 4 stars, but the service was a little strange and rushed, so I'm giving 3 stars. read more

Gets another star. If the doughnuts were just a tad more interesting, I would give this place 5 stars. We've been living here for two weeks but we've already been to this place 3 or 4 times. The kids want the doughnuts. But us adults go for the coffee. Coffee is consistently good. And not just good. Very, very good. Smooth, rich, and strong. What puts it over the edge is the fantastic service as well. On one of our visits, although it was in the evening, they were happy to brew us up fresh coffee. During the latest visit, I bought a bag of ground coffee for home because the coffee was so good. Again, fantastic service. We started discussing coffee with the girl behind the counter who turned out to be a real barrista. Next thing we know is that she scoops us out a large coffee cup full of their espresso beans to take home and try. For free! Gotta love it. read more

As a coffee guy, I love Top Pot Doughnuts. People are truly nice every shop has nice sweets to eat. The only bummer in Kirkland is the new store hours that closes on 4PM on Saturday. I noticed a few people still there at 3:40, so it might make sense for them to have longer hours. Nice place overall, clean and relatively quiet if you need to power through some work. This is not a place where you are always going to be distracted with someone yelling "12-oz mochaaaa" like Starbucks lol Check them out and get a Glazed Chocolate Old Fashion (one of my favorite doughnuts). read more

I feel compelled to update my review and give it full stars! There is honestly something great about businesses that take time to act on feedback! I had an unpleasant experience with one person there but after my feedback they all made a honest genuine point to make my trip back pleasant! Every time I walk in now, there is authenticity and kindness in how they interact with customers! It's been incredible! Thank you guys for being so fabulous that I had to re-do my review! Overall it's been a great month! Apart from the excellent customer service now, these guys make the best ovaltine coffee! You've got to try it! And it's cheaper than Starbucks ;) read more

Top Pot Doughnuts just opened in Juanita Village-Kirkland on Friday. This was for a visit on Sunday late afternoon 10/26/14. For a late Sunday afternoon there was a great selection of fresh doughnuts. I'm sure this has something to do with it being open only three days! Had I stopped in other locations like Seattle's Queen Anne, Ballard, Capitol Hill or Wedgwood at nearly 4pm - good luck if there's any product left! The two front counter staff members looked a bit frazzled, but the barista was full of enthusiasm and clearly loved her job. A squall had gone past earlier, but we managed to enjoy our mochas and doughnuts (glazed pumpkin old fashioned and a Bulleye) outside in the sunshine, as the café was rather full of people. A bit of a splurge with tax and tip a bit under $19. It'll be interesting what happens to the lot between Top Pot and Bank of America. Kind of boring to look at a vacant lot if seated outside. However, I can imagine this being a destination since this is within walking distance to/from nearby Juanita Beach Park. read more

Man, words cannot even describe how ecstatic I was when I saw that Top Pot had finally opened. After months of walking by seeing nothing but construction and locked doors, I was overjoyed to see lights on and people gathering inside. The doughnuts are on par with everything that Top Pot represents. Unfortunately, the woman ringing me up was kind of rude and weirdly aggressive. The case of doughnuts is just tall enough to prevent me from making eye contact with the employees behind the counter. For that reason, I stepped to the side and asked for doughnuts. Apparently, this made her angry. I'll still be back! read more

I asked "for here" at the time ordering a donut, but received it in the bag. I asked for a plate again after the transaction, and the one and only staff who was apparently too busy checking her phone, gave me the dirtiest look. She then grabbed me a plate but said no words. I thanked her as leaving the shop, but she again gave me a glance and chose to ignore me. Donut was good, but it is not a surprise no one wants to hang out in this donut shop in the middle of weekend afternoon. Going forwarded, I will avoid Kirkland Top Pot or rather, take my business elsewhere . read more

5 stars for their hot chocolate and friendly service! Idk what you guys use or put in it but YUMMY! Can't do coffee yet cause I'm preggs so hot cocoa it was, the hubs and I wanted something warm to drink as we took a walk around the lake and I only got a small cup thinking it was mediocre cocoa! Uhhh I THINK NOT! I literally think about your cocoa everytime I step into a coffee shop or brunch place! And always disappointed when it doesn't taste like yours! Really made an impact on me! I just moved from SoCal which has an immense amount of cute mom n pop local coffee/bakery shops and this reminded me of one! Definitely one that stuck to my brain and can't get it off my mind! No words, save yourself the disappointment! The ladies behind the counter say it all, not a friendly environment at all!

I wish I could get aboard the rave train for Top Pot Doughnuts, but the doughnuts I had here were as uninteresting as the last few I had there in the past. The problem with them, and with many others these days is that they have very little shortening, and a whole lot too much sugar. The sweetness level actually causes a burning feeling in my mouth, and there is no flavor added from having been fried. Sorry, but the whole point of doughnuts is that they are FRIED. If there's no hint of that, they're just a blob of tasteless carbs. These doughnuts aren't any better than those at the local supermarket, and the latter may even be better. As a matter of fact, I have largely the same criticism of most sweet foods available in the U.S. today. As fat, notably butter, has been removed from baked goods, increasing sweeteners have been added, making them much more unhealthy than necessary. I've compared recipes in my collection dating from the 1940s-1960s with those from the 90s and later. The later versions of the recipes, even those with the same name, include consistently a larger proportion of sugar. Hello, diabetes... read more
