Visiting family and found this place nearby. There isn't much parking and a lot of them are marked for other businesses. No seating but we were taking it to go anyways. Lots to choose from and super nice service! Very patient with us not knowing what we wanted to try. Even gave us a free one! Everything was so good and the price for a dozen was $15 something. Donuts are alright. Cash and check only, no card transactions. I saw a fly in the donut case to the left near the register. I decided to still get a couple donuts but from the case on the right side because I still wanted to try it. We chose a chocolate cake donut and a maple bar. Both were not dry so that was a plus. Donuts are cheap! You won't find a deal like this. 2 donuts for $2.25! So each donut is about $1.00. The menu and the entire establishment is very outdated. read more

You can't beat the price! We picked up an apple fritter, raspberry filled, and glazed donut to try at home. I wish we ate it the day we bought it but we let it sit overnight. We enjoyed the raspberry filled and plain glazed donut most. It tasted like Krispy Cream! The apple fritter was too oily but we did toast it for a couple minutes in the oven. I didn't taste much apple. I'm willing to try it again! It's a hole in the wall kind of shop. The server was friendly. For the price, this is a great donut shop!! And delicious too!! Stopped into Countryside Donut House to grab some donuts for the road trip home. They're a few doors down from another popular bakery, Hillcrest Bakery. They have two other locations (Kirkland and Mountlake Terrace). We dropped in on a Tuesday morning (10:30am) and there was plenty of selection available. Donuts are dirt cheap ($1.00 to $2.00 USD). Seems to be run by a couple of older Asian ladies. - 6x Donuts - apple fritter ($2.00 USD), cinnamon roll ($2.00 USD), buttermilk bar ($1.00 USD), raspberry filled ($1.00 USD), coconut ($1.00 USD) and maple old fashioned ($1.00 USD). The fritter and maple old fashioned were the best ones. Coconut was also surprisingly enjoyable. Rasperry filled was standard. Didn't realize the cinnamon roll is a regular glaze raised, just doubled in size. Skip it. Buttermilk bar was disappointing (dry and not much flavour). Cash only. Can't beat $1.00 donuts! read more

Tried this for the first time and doughnut were very tasty . They had all flavors of doughnut like less sweet ( which generally you don't get everywhere ) sprinkle one , chocolate ones and list is endless. Doughnut were very freshly made. I was not aware they accept just cash and no card and I didn't had cash when I went their the person on counter was so nice stating that you can give money later on currently enjoy fresh doughnuts , It was unbelievable and he didn't worried about money and wanted us to enjoy fresh doughnuts first . I took doughnuts and quickly searched nearby ATM to get cash and drove back to shop. This is just a true humanity and I really felt very much taken care of. Definitely going back again. read more

All the donuts are displayed in the display case as soon as you enter. There were a few others in the store but I was served very quickly. I got a maple bar and jelly donut. I had to come here because I heard this place was better than the kirkland Location and I have to say I agree!!!! There seem to be more varieties here and the price seem a lot more reasonable! I got the apple fritter, the old fashioned, the buttermilk bar and the cruller. The apple fritter was one of my favorite, it was very crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. They probably have the same recipe at both places because I really like the fritter at the kirkland Location as well. Both the buttermilk bar and the cruller was standard. The old fashioned was also very good, probably one of the better ones. I definitely can see why people like this location better than the kirkland one. read more

The five star review is for the maple bars and the old fashion glazed. They are fantastic. I stop in regularly and they always have a great selection. Less than a dollar a donut it is a great way to give people a nice treat. I always buy a dozen. If you see someone at the counter just wait outside until they are done paying for their order. Donuts are $.85. Cinnamon rolls are $1.75. The best bargain in the store are the jelly filled donuts... Also $.85 each... And they are delicious!. Coffee is one dollar. It comes in a foam cup with a flimsy lid... Not good for driving, But otherwise good coffee quality. There are a huge variety of donuts and everything is fresh daily. Feels family run so nice to support a local business. Tiny donut shop. Family owned and operated, mostly by one woman from Cambodia. The selection is small, but the donuts are tasty. Good taste and texture. The old fashioned donuts are especially good. Cash only. If you've never been to a donut shop run a family from either Vietnam or Cambodia (and I can think of at least one other such place within 5 miles of this one), then the service might be a bit shocking. Very similar to many Asian establishments, the service is not super friendly, the person waiting on you probably does not have a lot of patience, and you may feel pressured and rushed to hurry up and make a decision. Hey, that's just the way it is. Have a little patience and allow people their own culture. I asked about French crullers. She makes them on Wednesdays because that is a busier day and most people do not know what French crullers are, so they sell more slowly. I will have to come back and try them. read more

After reading everyone's reviews about how delicious the donuts here are, we are even more disappointed we didn't get to find out. When we parked in front of Countryside in order to go to lunch down the way, we saw, actually sort of surprisingly, a very small couple of trays of donuts inside and the rest of the cabinet was empty. The folks were in there chatting; and despite the strangeness of such a small selection already at noontime on a weekend, we were sure we were going to stop by to pick up some donuts after we finished lunch, to top off our lunch so to speak. Come after lunch, it's not yet the stated closing time on the donut shop's window, and they are closed, with empty shelves and a handwritten sign that says take out/pick up only. We didn't understand and saw more than one eager customer walk up to the window only to be equally let down. Do they stop when they run out of donuts? In which case why say pick up or take out only which implies donuts still are available? Was there an emergency? Please state that on the sign so we can all be sympathetic. Thanks! read more

Let me tell you about the Bothell location and the Mountlake Terrace one too. Anytime I've been in either location, the people here are always so friendly and cordial. A dollar a donut, c'mon!!! Go in the morning on Saturday or Sunday, and the donuts are still warm and so soft! It's a tough choice sometimes between Hillcrest and Countryside in Bothell, and Countryside and Donut Factory in Lynnwood/MLT, but sometimes there's just no beating a Countryside donut, especially when you know you are going to get a 30 second conversation by the friendly person behind the counter asking you what your plans are for the day with your donut! read more

The apple fritters and maple bars are super excellent. The fritters are thin and crispy. The maple bars are soft as a pillow. I can't resist getting them as a pair. The owners are super friendly and are a big part of the Bothell community. They had out free donuts on Halloween and are open on the 4th of July for the parade. Whenever you go in, they say hello, chat a little, or simply offer a smile. It seems like they have a connection with everyone that visits. Enjoy the donuts, the cheap prices, but don't peek at the corners because the place is dusty and needs a cleaning, which I guess is just part of the old Bothell charm! read more

My first bite was good but now that my tummy is settling, I'm realizing the oil used to fry the donuts has left a greasy feeling in my mouth and I can't seem to escape the taste. Got a custard filled and it was filled pretty well, custard was a little bland. Also got a glazed twist, not bad, sugar glaze was cracking everywhere when I took a bite. I've frequented this donut shop since I moved to Bothell in 2012. I love the family shop feel, posters of local school teams adorn the wall, 3 booths for those who dine in (COVID times it's only take-out), and incredible prices. Sometimes I feel like I make it out like a bandit with 3 donuts for less than $4. My husband and I love this shop so much after we got married we purchased donuts and did rounds visiting family from out of town to share Countryside Donuts. Our favorites are the buttermilk bar and now the apple fritter. Their apple fritters aren't doughy and we've been lucky enough to get some straight out of the fryer, crisp and peppered with apple chunks. Buttermilk bars were a surprise favorite, highly recommended. My sister-in-law and I craved these while pregnant.
