For the Monroe area, this is the only spot you should go. The grocery stores surrounding may be a bit cheaper, but you get what you pay for. So far living in this area for quite some time now, I have not yet come to a point where the doughnuts where not good. Each time I have come in they have tasted fresh and you know they change their oil often. Have you had a place where you can taste that the oil has not been changed for quite some time? I have. This place has not given me that and it shows. The person that owns this place is always friendly as well and makes me comfortable with a quick chat before having to go back and make another batch of doughnuts. It is always super clean in the shop, but it is not a place to sit and eat. Definitely go in and grab the goodies and be on your next destination type of area. I really enjoy the fritters here and the maple bars. No crazy fancy doughnuts here if that's what you're looking for. But they do have bacon maple bars. read more

very small place. limited seating, just a very casual place. prices are a little expensive, more than going to a store for a doughnut, but the taste is worth the price. there's various options for donuts (sprinkle, chocolate, apple fritter, a wide variety!) as well as croissants (ham & cheese, & then strawberry & cream / cream cheese), & some drinks : including brewed coffee & then drinks in the cold case such as energy drinks, milk, orange juice, & more. i went with family & we got 2 sprinkle doughnuts, a ham & cheese crossiant, a strawberry cream crossiant, & a filled boston cream doughnut. my sibling didn't see much of a difference in a store doughnut compared to this, but i thought the sprinkle doughnut tasted much fresher: very soft dough, & no stale or hard taste, & the frosting wasn't sweet tooth achingly sweet. my parent thought the boston cream could use more filling - i believed the same with the sweet cream crossiant - & the ham & cheese was good, but is better warmed. the strawberry cream cheese crossiant could've yes used more filling, but it was a good sweet & savory treat: percent softness to flakey scale. as for the service, the few times we've come in they're been very helpful to answering questions, but they've always seemed to give a weird stare &/or have just seemed not particularly wanting to interact in the first place. besides this & the semi high prices, i do recommend if you want a more fresh donut experience read more

Me and my husband crave for donut so we made a stop by here. Luckly they might have prepare the donut on the day(it was Saturday), it was really really good. It was so soft and the fluffy. You know sometimes donut can be dense in texture but here is more like fluffy like brioche donut. I saw the review said some got old donut that harden but lucky me. I would like to try here again. Not sure what happened since the last time I reviewed this location, but it's definitely gone downhill. Donuts are not nearly as fresh tasting as they used to be-- in fact, some are down right dayoldish. They've also stopped making French crullers entirely. At the Monroe fairgrounds for a horse show and wanted a fresh donut. Like from a local bakery not from a major grocery chain. This little place next to The Best Western hotel hit the spot. We ordered a bakers dozen. Kind of spendy, $20! But these donuts are light and fluffy and delicious. Must be a local fav because they had a line out the door waiting for donuts. I've stopped in here a couple of times early mornings for donuts for the office. I really appreciate their early hours, friendly service, and super fresh and fluffy donuts. Every time I bring them to the office, everyone comments on how great they are, especially the maple bars. While I can't try them due to my gluten allergy, those I've brought them to consider it an extra special treat when I bring them donuts from Henry's. They also have a great selection to choose from, including bacon topped donuts and croissants stuffed with either ham or strawberry cream cheese. We ordered a dozen donuts, and they were all so delicious. My all time favorite is the bacon maple bars! My husband's favorite is the plain maple bar! We are not fans of the super dense cake donuts , so we skipped out on those and ordered the light fluffy ones. They are open for lengthy hours, so don't worry about getting there before they close! They also make their donuts more often than just in the morning so you can enjoy fresh donuts at any time of day. Henry's makes a typical run of the mill donut. There isn't anything on the menu that makes this place unique from a typical donut shop or even the bakery section in the grocery store. The donuts taste good and there's a decent variety. Coming here early in the morning though, and still seeing your donut get microwaved is a bit disappointing. Makes me wonder how many of these donuts are fresh or left over, and how early do you need to arrive to get a fresh, warm donut? And the dining room is usually a mess, but that's expected with families and little kids with sticky fingers. read more

Always delish, these doughnuts deliver (a quick dose of sugar)! I always come to grab doughnuts for my team if we work on a weekend and if we do, it is VERY early! This makes it convenient that Henry's is open all weekend and I usually get the first pick of a lot of fresh! Yeah, the bacon maple bars are great. The apple fritters are huge and yummy. I went here on my way home from a camping trip. The doughnut I had was probably one of the best if not the best doughnut I've ever had. The original glazed had a similar texture to a Krispy Kreme doughnut but in a lager portion. My friend tried the maple bacon bar and he said it was amazing! This is the place we go to most often only because it is nearest to our home and the donuts do taste great. However eating donuts here isnt the best experience. The restroom usually has an out of order sign. Also my kids wanted water to drink with their donuts. When i ask the cashier for a cup of water she gave me a cup and when I asked where I could get the water she said they didnt have any........ they do sell bottle drinks and coffee. The donuts are good, but the owner is someone I wouldn't want to deal with again. Mother's day and the selection was limited -- to be expected. But when it was my turn, I started ordering, and then the owner started picking for one of the customers behind me who was a regular. Including the last several in a couple of selections.
