I grew up on Winchles doughnuts so that's what and how I base my rating on them... I have now lived in Washington for 5 years and I finally found what I consider The best donuts around!!! Lake Stevens Doughnuts are incredibly delicious and there are several types to choose from. My favorite is the Apple-fritter, Chocolate and Maple bars and Old Fashioned Buttermilk!!! They also have some "Fancy " ones that look to good to me to eat. The wonderful ladies that make this place go are extremely helpful and friendly and make sure you feel appreciated. read more

Omg....the doughnuts here are the best doughnuts iv had probably like ever! I was worried the shop was closed as it seemed a little dark and quite but oh man I glad I did a double take and checked the door because the maple glazed old fashion was by far one of the most delicious things iv had in a very long time- perfect bite and for it being a donut it wasn't so sweet it hurt my teeth just perfect- grabbed a few more for friends we were visiting and the lady at the counter was the sweetest in helping me choose the best ones for the friend group! We will so be back and soon!!! read more

Best donuts in Snohomish county period. Light and fluffy dough and great flavors. I'm partial also because the are one of the only places to get a maple Bavarian. However the custard is perfect. This is worth a drive off the beaten path. read more

The donuts and I went there at 7 o'clock in the morning and you were out of glazed and one I got was just flavorless and greasy. I wish it was a crispy Kreme for sure. read more

After coming to Lake Stevens Donuts on Wednesday 5 July 2023 to find the shop closed due to an injured baker, I returned 14 days later - yesterday Wednesday 19 July 2023 - to find the shop open and ready for customers. Inside, the decor was crisp and the atmosphere climate controlled. A nice worker behind the displayed donuts was helpful in fulfilling my request for an apple fritter. The price was a little under three dollars. The apple fritter was medium density for the fritters I have had, meaning light and dense at the same time. Apple chunks and cinnamon swirls in the interior infused the fritter with fruitiness. I found it to be a satisfying serving size. read more

My sister lives locally and took me there. I enjoyed my donut and she got several different varieties, including a couple of fritters. Well, she left my car and the next day I spotted an apple fritter in a bag on the floor and thought what's that trash? Turns out she left that fritter behind and I ate it. It was the best apple fritter I've ever had. Normally they leave a greasy kind of feeling on the roof of my mouth. I'm converted to being a fritter fan., This was amazing with a great donut texture strongly recommend this place. Sorry I do not have photos. read more

Almost completely sold out of donuts but 10am, but I can see why! We ordered a dozen with an assortment of glazed, filled and fritters. Their fritters are perfectly soft but crunchy on the outside. Easily the best fritter we've ever had. Their glazed twists resemble the texture of Krispy Kreme, but have so much more flavor. The customer service was amazing and their employees were so kind. read more

We went on a Saturday late morning. They had a sign saying "next batch on the way". We went in and they had about 5-7 different doughnuts from plain cake to ones with sprinkles or a cinnamon swirl. So I asked when the next batch would be done and the girl said it would be about 30 min. When we came back they had set out the next batch of all the same except now they had chocolate bars ,glaze twist and a few maple. Disappointed we even waited but purchased 6 to try and was not impressed. The glazed twist tasted over cooked and the cake doughnuts raspberry glaze was so overwhelmingly sweet. I sent my husband he brought me the bacon maple bar along with the strawberry glazed and the apple fritter my god the best donuts ever! HIGHLY RECOMMEND 10/10 read more

We absolutely love ordering donuts for pre order pickup. Lots of options and the staff is extremely helpful to suggest all the yummy . I recommend ordering for pickup because they run out fast. Unless you are an early bird and grab your dozen before they sell out. Cute little shop in down lake stevens. Cheers! read more

Hands down...best donuts anywhere! Tried most of their options and love them all. The Old Fashioned is beyond words! Apple Fritter is tender any yummy. Maple Bacon is OMG! Quality is evident and worth the cost. You won't be sorry! read more

Best donuts ever. Don't usually like fritters, but their blueberry fritters are the best. I can't pick just one donut because each one I have tried is so good. From Cincinnati and we have good donuts, but nothing like this shop. Will be sure to return next time I am in town. read more

Cute little donut shop that caught the attention of my 2 year old! Customer service was ideal, and the shop was really clean. It's located in the same shopping center as biscuit and bean making it a great option for kiddos or those seeking sweet treats. I can't rate the selection as the shop was closing early, and had 2 assorted boxes of a what was left for the day. My husband and son enjoyed their donut! If you love cake like donuts you'll definitely enjoy Lake Stevens Donuts! read more

Pathetic. At least the donuts, when you could actually get them, used to be good. No more. The door had a sign up saying 'back at 10am', but the young female employee was 15 minutes late. Got in to the shop to find extremely limited options. Asked if more donuts were on the way out (as has been the case on previous visits) and she said gruffly, "Nope. We're done for the day" ... seriously? Done, with only about 5 options at 10:15? That's not a great business plan. I had to rework my original plan as I couldn't get a dozen donuts with such limited 'variety' and she seemed extremely annoyed and trying to rush me. "Do you just want a half dozen? Singles?" Finally I just got 6 very basic donuts. Probably for the best I couldn't get more as the donuts I did get (maple bar, apple fritter, cream filled chocolate, glazed twist) were extremely greasy and oily, to the point they were heavy -- not light and fluffy. They tasted cheap. Fried in obviously very old oil. Not at all reflective of the high price point. Snotty service and crummy product + high price = no more visits from me! read more

Very nice & thoughtful staff. From greeting each & every person who walked in, very attentive in getting your selection. Not to mention they gave me an extra free donut on top of the dozen I bought, as I mentioned to them these donuts are for my co-workers who are being laid off. I was referred to this place by my high school best friend, who asked me if I wanted a donut. My friends love this place, and now I love this donut shop. 10/10 I'd recommend to all my friends & family. Amazing donuts with an amazing staff! :) read more

Nice little shop, liked the layout and how the donuts were displayed and labeled. Friendly customer service! Apple Fritter 3/5. A little crispy on the outside but not nearly as crispy as I prefer. Classic Fritter flavor but I could taste the frying oil flavor through it. Good sweetness level, but did not get much Apple flavor. Nice size and density. Blueberry Fritter 4/5. Better than the Apple Fritter for sure! Good amount of Blueberries and overall flavor. Did NOT taste any oil flavor on this one. Slightly crispier than the Apple Fritter but still not to the level I prefer in my fritters. One of the better Blueberry Fritters in the area for sure, worth a try! read more

My first visit was on a Friday at lunch. They had 2 donuts in their case and that was it. I was told I would have to wait 20 minutes for the next batch to be made. The gal also told me that they had orders to be filled and that I should tell her now which of the 4 kinds I would like. She was a bit snippy and a little rude when I was asking questions. I would definitely recommend Henry's donuts in Everett or Monroe instead. They have huge selections of donuts any time of the day. Henry's also has a very polite staff. read more

A local gem - this bakery prepares excellent traditional raised and cake donuts. One of the best Pink Homers on the planet. Delicious and fresh donuts!! Definitely highly recommend. The woman who helped us was incredibly sweet and obviously loves her customers. My daughter and I came by around 4pm and the donuts were still incredibly fresh even though it was almost closing time. The woman even made sure to help us on our way out by holding the door open so I could push my stroller through without a struggle with the heavy door. Will definitely be returning! Yes prices can be higher than grocery store donuts but they are worth it and you can taste the quality. read more

I was thrilled to see a donut shop opened in Lake Stevens. I checked their website out before going to familiarize myself with the menu since from photos it looked like they put a little more thought into the presentation than your standard issue donut shop. Don't infer from the preceding statement that I don't love standard issue donut shops like Henrys and Tylers in the North Sound, because I do! This one was different though in terms of the decor and how the donuts are presented I finally was able to stop in on a Saturday morning around 7, and of course there was a line. The shop had a small glass case for a few rows of your standard issue donuts. The presentation and setup is great! You can tell a ton of care went into this place and I assume the owners want to be around for a while, which is refreshing. I ordered from the glass case and asked about anything else they had in back for cake donuts with chocolate frosting. They went back and came out with one and placed it in my half dozen box. This cake donut was the star of the experience, it was moist without being greasy and soft without being dry....perfection! All the other donuts were great too. One oddity, I was perplexed by three large screens above the countertop which displayed the apple tv home menu...why I thought to myself?!? My eyes were immediately drawn to the screens expecting to see a menu or advertisement of the specials, but instead, tv shows. Just odd and something that could have been due to the early time, so no de-rating. In my sleepy haze, I overlooked the cro-nuts and didn't notice them until I checked out; shame on me! I'll get ya next time! I can't wait to come back and try the cronut and am so grateful these folks blessed Lake Stevens with a donut shop. Keep it up! read more

Such insulting staff! They acted irritated when we asked a question about their donut selection and responded by saying "We close at 3" when it was only 12:40pm... very rude and condescending. As someone who works in a customer service role myself, I think that some customer service training for the staff would be a good investment; this could be driving away business from an otherwise great store! What's not to like??? Donuts, chocolate, bacon....YUM! There's not a lot of donut shops around here which is weird to me but this one not only gives you donuts they are also so creative! For example, you can occasionally get a box of donut holes that are topped (yes they have toppings) with things such as Nutella and strawberries or white chocolate and lucky charms. I mean....how can you not get those little nuggets of amazing ness. I feel like their hours are a little off for me, I don't think they open until 7am most days which is a little late and then close at 3....I could go for a lunch break. But also good I can't go every day lol it's more of a treat when my schedule lines up. Keep up the great work! read more
