This place is so good! It is a quick walk from the Light Rail which I honestly wish I didn't find out because I will be frequenting it! I was greeted when I walked in and the lady at the front was telling me everything they had. It was 3pm and there was still a large selection. I've always heard the phrase melt in your mouth donut, but this was the first time I've experienced it! I got an old fashioned glazed donut and she gave me three extra donut holes. I ate everything before I walked back to the Light Rail station. They were so good for it being 3pm. There was a sign outside that said after 4pm donuts are half off. And there is a 50 cent charge for paying with card. Overall, highly recommend stopping by if you're craving a donut. I wish I had discovered this place sooner! read more

On approaching Evergreen Donuts northbound this morning, Tuesday 23 May 2023, I found construction-related obstacles in the lane where I was supposed to turn in from the main road. Instead, I took the back entrance in to the parking area that went past a few hotels. The lot is shared by the different businesses in the strip and was abundant when I arrived around 10:10 a.m. and parked. The store front is well labeled and easy to spot. Donuts and lumpia are on display inside the entrance towards the wall opposite the entrance door. I got one each of the maple bacon jalapeño bar and plain cake donuts. When the worker was getting the donuts, she added a few complementary donut holes. I paid with a $5 bill for the total of $4.10 with tax. After tipping my change, $0.90, she added a few more donut holes to my bag. Moral of the story, don't forget to tip! The donut holes were good, they reminded me a bit of beignets - light and fluffy - with a glaze. Spice from the jalapeños paired harmoniously with the sweetness of the maple frosting, sweetness and saltiness of the bacon, and the fluffy texture of the bar donut. It was the first maple bacon donut of any type I have had and I was very pleased with the donut. The plain cake donut was a perfect eat. Not greasy, my fingers did not get oily from the donut when eating it. The cake was intermediate between dense and light and had a subtle flavor. read more

French crullers are my jam. I'm always on the look out, they are THE donut I'm hoping to see in the display case in any donut shop I drift into. Although they are here, I wish they weren't. A cloyingly sweet and mealy texture left me wishing I hadn't stopped here. Sad but true. A word of advice if you're coming off of Alderwood Mall Blvd pill into the La Quinta parking lot and go around back of the strip mall. The strip mall is old and it looks like they have been here a long time but don't let that deter you. These are the best donuts that I have had outside of Sluy's bakery in Poulsbo (check it out you will mot be disappointed). The lady that helped me was very nice and answered my few questions (they are donuts how many questions can you have?). The donuts were fresh and perfectly fried! There is a huge selection and had my favorite maple bacon. I only came in for a couple donuts and somehow ended up with a bakers dozen. ;) She put a sticker to keep the donuts "safe" for the drive but it didn't work on me, I ate one before I was a block away. I was jokingly saying, "I didn't need any donuts, but wanted one. The lady immediately said, "Oh you have diabetes?" I said, "No. I just finished working out and wanted something sweet." She went to the side to ring up my order when I noticed she was walking around in her socks on cut up cardboard pieces on the floor. I left. This is more of a 3.5 star place for me but I'm rounding it up. The place itself is a little sketchy in my opinion. I came at night and there was this weird person in the back doing something...I thought it was a worker but they turn out to be a customer??? Anyway, the person helping me was an old man who didn't speak English too well. I originally ordered 1 crueller, 1 maple bacon bar, 1 Bismark and 1 buttermilk bar. He ended up giving me a twist instead of a buttermilk bar. I also got this weird cookie looking donut that taste a little cakey but soft??? I'm not sure what it was but it was good. All the donuts seem to have the same based as it was basically the same. If it wasn't for the toppings, it would all taste the same to me. It was soft and light. The Bismarck was a little disappointing as there was cream in first half of the donut and nothing in the other half. The owner was nice and gave me some free donut holes and a regular glazed donut. Stopped in on a sleepy Sunday morning to try some donuts and lumpia! The donuts were great - I had a jelly filled bear claw the size of my head. The crust was perfectly crispy with crunchy glaze, and the inside of the donut was perfectly fluffy and soft. The jelly filling was great too - very impressed with this one. My fiancé had a Boston cream, we both tasted a hint of maple in the chocolate glaze which gave it some extra oomph, we both really enjoyed this one. We only ordered the two donuts but the owner was so kind and hooked us up with an extra donut (an apple fritter) and some donut holes, which we will be enjoying later. The star here is really the lumpia. They are perfectly crispy and crunchy with a delicious spring roll like- filling. I've only ever had meat lumpia so the veggies were a really pleasant surprise. These donuts are pretty good, I ordered towards the end of their day so they only had a few flavors remaining, but I picked up an Old fashion cake, it was soft and a little too sweet for me. I also picked up a Buttermilk cake which is a denser cake and a good amount of sweetness. The Maple bar is fluffy and chewy, and the Jelly cake has the same texture as the Maple bar, very little jelly in the filling but it was pretty good. I'm so glad we stopped into this tiny store in a nondescript strip mall. The owner (?)/counter person(?) was incredibly nice--and is a great salesperson! I walked in for a couple of donuts and walked out with donuts, crab rangoons, and egg rolls! After I walked in, someone else followed and called out, "Hi, Kim!" The vibe is friendly, cheerful, and neighborly, and it's obviously due to Kim's personality and generosity. These are also some of the best standard/old-fashioned donuts I've had on my side of town. Somehow light and doughy at the same time, the custard filled was delicious and the donut holes were soft and pillowy. So let's start by saying there was a legit dead fly floating in my coffee, on top of that drip coffee was served cold.
