Best donuts I've ever eaten!!! Been going here for years and the woman is always so nice and gives free donut holes with a dozen donuts!!! Support this business!!

This place is one of the best customer experiences you can ask for. Usually it's the same employees, who are always friendly and helpful, I can't even remember the last time I've came here and wasn't offered a free donut to try other varieties, and I have been frequenting this place for over 15 years! The look and feel of a classic donut shop, but toss in the extras they provide, like amazing LUMPIA! Yes. Lumpia. Highly recommend a visit for a great morning treat!

This place is extremely affordable, and the lady working was beyond kind! You can tell this is a business that puts customer service first. They were extremely welcoming when I got inside and didn't make me feel rushed when picking something. I just got the doughnuts and they are excellent! I'll definitely be back.

On approaching Evergreen Donuts northbound this morning, Tuesday 23 May 2023, I found construction-related obstacles in the lane where I was supposed to turn in from the main road. Instead, I took the back entrance in to the parking area that went past a few hotels. The lot is shared by the different businesses in the strip and was abundant when I arrived around 10:10 a.m. and parked. The store front is well labeled and easy to spot. Donuts and lumpia are on display inside the entrance towards the wall opposite the entrance door. I got one each of the maple bacon jalapeño bar and plain cake donuts. When the worker was getting the donuts, she added a few complementary donut holes. I paid with a $5 bill for the total of $4.10 with tax. After tipping my change, $0.90, she added a few more donut holes to my bag. Moral of the story, don't forget to tip! The donut holes were good, they reminded me a bit of beignets - light and fluffy - with a glaze. Spice from the jalapeños paired harmoniously with the sweetness of the maple frosting, sweetness and saltiness of the bacon, and the fluffy texture of the bar donut. It was the first maple bacon donut of any type I have had and I was very pleased with the donut. The plain cake donut was a perfect eat. Not greasy, my fingers did not get oily from the donut when eating it. The cake was intermediate between dense and light and had a subtle flavor.

Bakers dozen minus one maple bacon that didn't make the drive back.

I was in Lynnwood for the weekend and really needed a donut so I decided to give Evergreen a try. A word of advice if you're coming off of Alderwood Mall Blvd pill into the La Quinta parking lot and go around back of the strip mall. The strip mall is old and it looks like they have been here a long time but don't let that deter you. These are the best donuts that I have had outside of Sluy's bakery in Poulsbo (check it out you will mot be disappointed). The lady that helped me was very nice and answered my few questions (they are donuts how many questions can you have?). The donuts were fresh and perfectly fried! There is a huge selection and had my favorite maple bacon. I only came in for a couple donuts and somehow ended up with a bakers dozen. ;) She put a sticker to keep the donuts "safe" for the drive but it didn't work on me, I ate one before I was a block away. The bonus is that they also have lumpia!

This place has great donuts and it comes in a cute box. The lady that helped me was very nice and friendly. They have a wide variety to choose from including basic donuts and several that are filled with fruit, cream, and jelly. They also serve egg rolls, coffee, and sandwiches. I would definitely come back here again.

If you are looking for a donut and cafe experience then this is not for you, go to countryside down the road or top pot. Great place for donuts. They have yeast, old fashioned, cake and donut holes. Everything tasted great and donut holes are fluffy and sweet. Order some donut and get some milk from the fridge and you have a pretty good breakfast There is a dentist next door just in case you have cavities from eating too much sweets

    Cake Doughnut & French Crueller

First time here and I got a Cake Doughnut and a French Crueller. Usually I like my pairing of cake doughnuts and hot coffee. To my pleasant surprise, the cake doughnut was light and airy where most cake doughnuts are heavy and dense. Paired incredibly well with my coffee! I usually expect my hands to be oily from touching doughnuts, but I love that these weren't that oily at all. Tl;dr Very well made and affordable donuts. One of the best doughnut shops around and a hidden gem . Highly recommend these doughnuts if you are in the Northwest Seattle area!

I have visited for takeout, dined onsite solo, or with others. It was really nice to receive a generous gift card from other family members. Interior pretty much has stayed the same, with some addition of merch, and plushies on a front bench by the entrance. Your attention will be drawn to their pastry case. Pro tip: make sure to show up in the morning for better selection for both sweet and savory items. Their pastries are baked fresh onsite, but I've made the mistake of showing up midday and towards closing and their pastry case would be slim pickings. They also have a great variety of beverages available too. Espresso, teas, and milk teas as examples. The mocha has improved, very coffee forward and not cloyingly sweet. Just needs to be hotter temp wise, but that's just me. My favorite go tos has been variable depending on availability, but recent visits have been their ham and cheese croissants. I greatly appreciate the offer to have it warmed up if dining onsite. It's just a strange pairing to place such tasty pastries on a paper plate and then provided flatware, knife & fork or just a fork. I appreciate that this indie bakeshop & cafe has been going strong and steady since 2016, so coming up on a decade! Flying under the radar, but iykyk this is a popular destination. An added star and definitely recommended whether for takeout or enjoyed onsite!

I'm not sure if it's because something changed on the side of the bakery (maybe recipe or personnel changes?) or on my side, having tried more bakeries around the area. On our last visit we bought two loaves of bread to accompany a butter tasting. Both loaves I found to be not nearly as high quality as I remember previously. Pane Bello ($9) - The crust basically doesn't exist in this bread. It's soft and leathery and doesn't give that satisfying crispness of a well baked bread. The interior, while having good crumb structure, is particularly dry and almost crumbly. The taste is mild, perfect for pairing with higher end butters. (3/5) Parmesan Black Pepper Sourdough ($9) - This batard has similar texture as compared to the Pane Bello. It has the addition of plenty of black pepper baked inside, spaced out rather evenly, allowing a peppery bite every time. There's salty and fatty parmesan baked on top, giving a caramelized salty umami. It definitely has more flavor than the Pane Bello, but suffers from the same textural issues. (3/5) We purchased both loaves at 10AM on a Sunday morning and they were consumed within 2.5 hours, so I don't think it's an issue with storage. I ate a bit of their regular foccacia at a work event too. It has a good crispy exterior and is salted well on the top. Unfortunately the interior isn't the best, having a really dense, chewy crumb. I'm honestly not sure what happened. I really loved The Cottage when I first moved here 1.5 years ago. Now? I have a number of bakeries I'd choose over here in a heartbeat.

My mocha was decent, the pain au chocolat was fresh, good flavor and texture, despite being pretty hollow. They have pretty typical Korean bakery fare and pricing seems to be just a bit higher than competitors, probably somewhere around a 10% premium compared to similar family owned bakeries. On my visit I got two pastries to try: Soboro Cream ($3.49) - Instead of a delicately crackly cookie crust, this bun has a much softer, almost moist topping, which may be due to them placing the bread in the packaging before being fully cooled off, allowing the bun to steam too much. There's a bunch of sweetened stabilized cream inside that's sweet and oily. The bread itself is kind of dry and crumbly, either not a typical milk bread recipe or perhaps it had been sitting on the shelf for too long. (2/5) Corn Mochi ($5.99) - This comes with six pieces. The corn mochi has a nice chewy tapioca flour base. There's black sesame sprinkled throughout giving a burst of nutty flavor. I expected to see whole corn kernels baked inside but I think they just use corn flour in the dough. It's way less sweet than the soboro. Texturewise, the inside is bouncy while the outside has a harder baked crust. (4/5) Overall Le Bon Patisserie is a pretty average Asian grocery store-paired bakery. I should have saved a screenshot, but for once, I trusted the system but the system failed. Anyway, I was hoping for the best when I entered, since we did have a credit card charge notification. Anyway, two staff members are at the front, though only one was working the register ringing up pastries and taking orders for drinks, etc. After standing in line for a second, I decided to be bold, left the line, and approached the other staff member saying I am picking up a cake order. She asked for order number. Yikes, I do not have that. After some back and forward and I asked if she can look up by my name, she said no. When I repeated two cakes and told her what they were, she said, "Did you say two cakes?" I almost wanted to laugh, since I have said it about ten times by then. My order must have been the only one with two cakes because she suddenly found it and even asked me to verify my name. Magical, they do have my name after all. I decided not to ding the rating since their search is locked to order number. I suspect she scrolled through screens to find the order. Although picking up the cakes were borderline sweat-inducing, both cakes turned out to be winners for the party of eleven people. Statistically, nine out of eleven are classic Americans who have never had Taiwanese cakes or lower sweetness cakes. I was pleased these cakes proved to be a hit for those unfamiliar with this baseline. Everyone sampled a small portion of both cakes, and we had about a combined 2/3 cakes left. I estimate an 8" cake is 8 servings.
