My heater broke down recently , after not using it all year due to good and warm weather, we never bothered to turn it on . End of July, it's 95 degrees outside, my 91 year old bedridden mother was just discharged from the hospital, and of course, the AC goes out. Called other places, but Ash was the only one who would come out same day to look at the unit. He even came after hours (9:00PM!!!) after hearing there was an elderly person living here. He was very professional, was able to diagnose the problem in 10 minutes (low Freon and a fuse) and had the unit running 10 minutes after that. My 83-year old aunt's AC died during an LA heat wave in her senior housing complex... Our 30+ year old HVAC system hung on for as long as it could. However, a week ago, the A/C stopped working while we were experiencing several consecutive days of hot temperature. My husband contacted Ez Breeze Heating & Cooling and right off the bat Ash provided excellent customer service as he under promised and over delivered. He came over an hour earlier than the expected appointment time to look at the A/C, which was great for us. After some time troubleshooting the A/C, Ash explained that although he can replace the fan, there is no guarantee that this action would fix the problem given the age of the A/C system. Ash was honest and transparent during our discussion. He showed us the broken parts and noted that it may not be worth salvaging the old A/C system since the replacement costs could go pretty high very quickly if the fan replacement did not work. He further added that we may want to consider replacing the A/C instead. Rather than acting like a pushy salesperson, Ash was very respectful and waited for me to ask him a multitude of questions including the cost for a new HVAC system. He was very polite while answering my questions and in the process also provided a very competitive price quote for a 5-ton Carrier HVAC system. To add to the reasonable price offer, Ash was able to accommodate our request for the installation to be completed as soon as possible. I had explained to Ash that it would be difficult for my family to deal with the heat without a working A/C and he listened to our needs. I was not holding my breath since summertime is typically a very busy time for HVAC installers. Again under promising and over delivering, Ash worked with his office to squeeze the HVAC installation within a few days after we signed the contract. I came home from a kidney stone operation recently to my house with the outsite temperature hovering in the 90's and with the air conditioning running the house was same temperature as the outside. My AC's output air was not cold enough. I found Ez Breeze nearby. Ash answered the call and was able to come the next day. My AC coil was leaking. Initially he was going go replace it which would be major. He recommend using coolant sealer. I searched online found the alternative is acceptable for quick fix. Since I have company coming staying, I did not want to wait. He recharged the freon and AC was working great. Two days later the unit's fans stopped spinning. Another frantic call to Ash and he suspected the capacitor due to low freon stressing out the fan motor. He came and replaced the capacitor and also added another smaller unit just for the motor. During the process, Ash informed me that a new thermostat is needed because my old one was not functioned properly. Surprising when everything was said and done he did not charge me for the new thermostat. I was very surprised and glad at the same time. This happened to me in the past with other AC dealer that charge me extra $100 for new thermostat.
