Great, honest technicians with reasonable prices and free estimates! I initially had my HVAC issue diagnosed by another company that is part of a home warranty policy I had. This company said my compressor was burnt out, and I needed to replace the entire HVAC system for $7K. I then asked Elvira Ocean Air to come for a free estimate to provide a second opinion (I always a good idea to get a second opinion on big jobs). Fernando arrived within a day, and was superb. He explained what he was doing, and after a couple of quick checks, he said I just had to replace a small component (the capacitor) for about $240. He had the parts, immediately fixed it, provided an extended warranty, and the HVAC has been working great so far. He was also very nice, friendly, and reasonable. If I could give 20 stars I would. 20 stars for customer service alone. Called for an estimate and set up an appointment for the next day. I asked to possibly troubleshoot over the phone, since I kind of already knew what the problem was. I've worked with them more than once. They try their best to be honest and good at what they do. After two jobs, one job was fine. The second job, they recommended that the unit be replaced. I called another vendor and they figured out the issue was bad wiring (unit needed to be rewired and was not getting electricity). Once the wires were connected it ran! Thus I feel Elvira did not do their due diligence to determine the problem but instead recommended we replace the entire unit for a couple thousand :O. I would still use them but if they say replace the entire XYZ then get a second opinion. Overall, I give them an OK rating! read more

I requested quotes from several different companies and they were first to respond, were extremely thorough in their questions, gave me the lowest troubleshooting quote and were at my house on time the next morning. Clean and friendly repair person was polite and explained the issues, quoted the costs clearly and replaced the broken parts & had us up and feeling the cool breeze in less than an hour! They had inexpensive service fee to diagnose the issue. They also responded quickly. My gas furnace was diagnosed that it would need replacement of the circuit board, but they never provided a quote that they promised to email me on the same date. The technician only gave me a verbal estimate of $1,200 of labor and material. Well, Amazon and eBay sell the circuit board for $100 - $300. I was told it was about an hour of the labor. I could not convince myself to spend $900 -$1,100 for the 1hr labor. read more

Everyone wore masks and they covered all my carpet and wood floors so as not to get anything dirty/etc. They had to re route/extend a gas line which they painted at my request to help protect it from the elements (i had a rusty gas line leak once in the past). This is our second time working with Ernie& his crew. I have only great things to say! Ernie is super professional & attentive. Always very reliable & his crew awesome. We are a family with children,and they were always super respectful and aware of that given the covid situation.
