Found Emin on Yelp March 2026 when the upstairs AC suddenly stopped working, and Emin was there right away and was able to diagnose the problem, replaced a capacitor and got the unit working again. Then the downstairs AC wasn't cooling last weekend. Emin wasn't available so I called another contractor who took one look at the video of the furnace making weird noises and concluded the motor needed replacing, but that he couldn't find the motor anywhere, etc etc and it was such a hard push for me to replace the whole HVAC. After 24 hours of this hard sell on what was going to be the hottest day of the week, I took a chance and called Emin for a 2nd opinion. And miracle of miracles he looked at the video, found the part, and was at the property in 30 minutes. My final bill was a 10th of what the other contractor was selling me! My wife suggested I get one more opinion, and luckily I read his other glowing Yelp reviews and called Hovik at In N Out Air. Hovik first determined that our condenser unit was absolutely fine and would likely continue to operate for many years to come. He then CORRECTLY diagnosed the underlying minor electrical problem, replaced the defective part, and upgraded our thermostat to a state-of-the-art Honeywell Home model. A few hours after he arrived, our A/C system is working perfectly -- better in fact that it did before it went down. AND WE AVOIDED AN UNNECESSARY $20,000+ EXPENSE. Got on the roof and diagnosed and fix the problem. Quickly whole experience took about an hour with them, spraying down the air conditioner and cleaning it out. I'm truly grateful for the professionalism and how quick they got this done. More importantly that they were able to come out the day I called them, which was really fortunate. The temperature has been in the mid to high 80s and my wife is nine months pregnant so having to air conditioner, not working has been very uncomfortable for her, which is my main concern. I called a few AC shops and the wait time was 2-3days for an appointment, which given the blazing heat, made total sense to me. I called Harry around 3pm and he mentioned that he was in a Pasadena area and would be happy to swing by my house in South Pasadena later that evening, after his all day AC job in the blazing heat! The fact that he was able to do a house visit at 7pm blew me away! He immediately recognized that my AC unit was overheating as I had a bunch of trellis around it ... he was 100% honest, just straight up told me that your unit is overheating and get all that junk off of it and it'll work fine!!! Didn't hit me up for bunch of unnecessary work. He is a straight up honest guy. I wanted to give him some gas money, $$$ for time/effort, his support/help, but he refused!
