I bought my daughter 2 pairs of glasses here. They wouldn't stay on her face, which was enough of a problem in itself, then we later found that they filled the prescription completely wrong. "Must've been a typo" they said.... We stopped in to see if they would be able to fill my daughter's prescription in house. They weren't, which was fine, but they convinced us to buy glasses there anyway. I point blank asked them how they could afford to sell the glasses so cheap (2 pairs of kids glasses for $79), and I was assured it was because of the volume they did. We got my daughter's glasses 10 days later and went in to get fitted for them. One pair fit fine. The other pair absolutely would not stay on her face. I don't know if they were too small or just cheaply made or just a bad design. I tried telling the lady that they weren't staying on her face, and she didn't seem to care. At that point I'm like oh well at least we'll have one pair that fits. However, once we're home she starts complaining that she sees 2 of everything when she wears those glasses. At this point, I felt kind of scammed and just went to a legitimate glasses store and bought her a $150 pair of glasses, which are working perfectly. In the meantime, eyeglass world calls to check and see how my glasses are working for me and come to find out, they have completely filled the prescription wrong in the lenses (hence my daughter seeing 2 of everything). I took the glasses back in, where they wanted to send them off for another 10 days and have them fixed. I asked for a refund instead. The man didn't apologize or really even acknowledge me, but did issue my refund so that's the only reason I'm not giving only one star. I would tell everyone STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE. Spend more at a real eyeglass store. You get what you pay for. read more

First off, I am not one to write reviews much. However, this place is AMAZING!!!!!!!! I had a rough morning and smashed my glasses. I drive early in the morning for work and desperately need glasses to see. I was freaking out before I found this place. Not only did they greet me with smiles from everyone but they helped me immediately! I was in a rush to an appointment that I couldn't be late for. I was then told that the Dr. making glasses was busy and it might be Monday before I got anything. Panicking because I work Monday morning they checked and squeezed me in. I walked in at 10:20am and at 5pm the glasses were ready! I couldn't be more happy with the service I received from this company and its employees. Thank you so much!!! I was a life time user at another eye company (I have worn glasses since the third grade and I'm 25 now) but now I am completely hooked with Eyeglass World on Alma School. Fantastic!!! read more

*** CROOKS *** Oakley and EyeGlass Word are SCAMMERS!!! When a customers decides to purchase prescription sunglasses. They should advise the customer that they will not get the original lenses back. This makes no sense why Oakley would keep them. Customers pay full price for the sunglasses and the cost to convert them into prescription lenses. That's understandable.... where they rip you off is when they don't return the original lenses back. I have bought 5 pairs. They cost over $250.00 ea. and that's also using my insurance. The only reason I realized that I was being ripped off because I was going to try contact lenses and I was going to use the original lenses. I brought this to the managers attention. I got that he said she said nonsense game. Both of these companies are CROOKS. I was also told that after I purchase the sunglasses through them and I decided to take the lenses out. Oakley would not accept them. If I was given this information I would have not purchase any of them. This is how they manage to SCAM from people, by with holding very important information from customers. This so call republetable companies need to be accountable for the lack of information not given. If Oakley and EyeGlass World truly stand by their true customer service ethics.... this should not be an issue to resolve. read more

So we decided to use this so called company because they told me that my prescriptions could be done in house and within a day or so... so we go in and get exams for myself and two kids.. here's where the fun starts.. My daughters glasses were the least strength in prescription, but magically they didn't have materials in stock so her order would be fulfilled off site my ... then told my order as well as son's would also be fulfilled off site... fast forward 10 days later... was told glasses would be ready a 1pm i come in at 130.... mine and daughter;s were ready but son's was still on machine ???? what ? Was told that orders were being made offsite??? ok fine i will come back to get son's second pair.. at least he has this one.... go back in a week later.... no glasses.. was told we picked them up.. the asshole got me !!!! i should have gotten written receipt to pick up second pair.... oh you better believe im upset.. im posting this on FB/twitter/Instagram/yelp and any one else that will listen.. i dont want to do bus with this company and only want a refund for half the cost of sons glasses which he only received one pair.. I am speaking to my attorney today to discuss legal action. read more

Friend recommended I check out their glasses. Arrived on a weekday, mid morning, greeted upon entry. One other customer in the store with various employees. 15 minutes later was asked what I was looking for, staff not too aware of their product lines. Asked a question and staff started speaking with another staff member and left me, disappeared. I walked out. If they're going to wear the professional looking white coats, be professional and assist the customer. read more

My husband and I had great service while we were there, very polite, helped us within seconds of walking in and didn't have to wait too long BUT since we live 4 hrs away we decided to have our glasses mailed to us since they had to be ordered. They said it would take 7-10 days and that they would call when they were in. So because I was going with no glasses at all and needed them asap I called on the 11th day and come to find out they've had them in for 4 days already and didn't call!!! So they said they would go out that next morning, asked for our address and I had him read it back to me twice and he said it would be UPS and it takes 1-2 days so I called back the 3rd day and the response I got was "Oh we were just about to call you to verify your address cause its not right...not right!!!?!?! I had the guy read it back to me twice and come to find out he put Wesley st instead of W. Lee St..ok understandable but then had the town spelt all wrong as well when I honest to god spelt it for him 3 times and had him spell it back to me and it was correct!!! THEN I gave that guy the right address and the next day when they were already supposed to be sent out I get a call saying that they were going to send them out that morning but couldn't read the precious guys hand writing!!!! At this point I was like, Are you effing kidding me dude!!! WTF!!! How hard is it to use a damn computer to put our address in so EVERY ONE can read it PLUS have it on file in the future but I was to the point where there is no future with us going there ever again no matter how desperate we get!!! read more

I was looking at reviews trying to pick a place THIS morning. I'm super anxious about getting glasses at a new place but i am soooo HAPPY i came here! Everyone is friendly from the receptionist to the doctor to the associate that helped me out. I spent a little less $$$ than I expected which was awesome! The doctor didnt say much but really made me feel comfortable and that he cares about giving me the right prescription. JOHN, who I read about in many other reviews helped me out afterwards. He is super cool and understands the struggle! lol he made some recommendations and I'm just glad that he did because I didn't know much about my options. He ordered me some contacts and the best part I got BOTH of my glasses in literally an hour! I know that if I went ANYWHERE else this would have not happened. I'm sitting here wearing my new glasses right now and I just wanna let anyone know, if you're looking for a place that cares about your vision and your pocket this is the place for you! My daughter came in town from Texas, her glasses were not helping her. We stopped at the Goodyear Store on a Tuesday and were getting the $129 BOGO deal. After everything was said and done we were $600 into the glasses, Go figure. The optician tells us one pair will be ready Thursday and we will contact you when they're ready. She made sure she had the right number to call (twice). Thursday came and went, Friday, and Saturday. Sunday we find they are closed and still no call about her glasses. Monday I call to see what is going on and the lady behind the desk (Vicky) says the glasses were ready Thursday and she ASSUMED we would be in to get them. First of all what happens when you assume?? Secondly we were told that they were not sure what time the glasses would be ready on Thursday and they will call us. I guess customer satisfaction is a thing of the past. Funny how fast they took the money, but everything else is run on assumption. I ASSUME they will not be happy when I cancel Payment. Funny how that works. read more

I've been to this location a couple times but recently came in as a walk-in. the staff was very nice and was able to get me in to be seen without too long of a wait.. very nice considering it was pretty busy.. the assistant was very nice and the doctor that saw me was very thorough. when i was done with the doctor, the woman at the desk told me that i should start looking at glasses and someone would be with me shortly to help me. So frame hunting i went..lol.. even though it was busy the staff were greeting people as they came in and a young man even offered me water while i was waiting. finally i was sitting down at a desk and going over with them what i wanted. they did a great job making sure i was happy with my choice before i made it final. from start to finish i was taken care of. the staff are great and i will continue to come to them in the future. i will be recommending to my friends and family that they come here. read more

Been a customer here, several times in past years - both when having insurance and without having insurance. Bought prescription Sunglasses, and Regular glasses, on more than one visit, and have kept all of my records. Spent plenty of money over a period of plenty of years. And it needs to be VERY CLEAR that I am willing to spend good money on a good pair of glasses. My latest visit had me getting an Eye Exam, recently, and then meeting with a Sales person, named John, on Alma School Road. John looked at his computer, and was ABLE TO SEE that I was a former customer, as he was updating my address and telephone number. Then the PROBLEMS(s) began. John began to talk down to me. And when I heard "Now I will tell you....(this), and Now I will tell you (that).." - while John was reading off a list of costs for given features, I really began to feel small. BECAUSE 1.) If I were a former customer, I would know what things cost additionally, 2.) I am familiar with what an Anti-reflective coating is, and an Anti-scratch coating is, etc, so why do I need to be told this information over and over? 3.) If I was a former customer, why didn't John ask ME what I wanted to do? Just how familiar do I need to become with a business, before people as me what I want? He was armed with proper customer background information from the inception of my visit, yet he chose to act the way that he did. I am just not used to being talked down to, like I am Paramecium, and treated this way, or being spoken to like I am going to do what Eyeglass World wants for me to do - WITH MY MONEY - or else. And then on top of all of this, being told very rudely "What are you going to do, buy your glasses online??!!" They were not aware that I had also needed to have my Son's eyes checked too. As an adult, I can think for myself. I can care for myself. And I can care for my family also. And it also really occurred to me, that I might want to take a Dremel Tool, and a piece of Lexan from Ace Harware, and try to make my own lenses, rather than put up with this kind of behavior from Sales People! Because I have no choice whatsoever than to be kicked in the face, when shopping at Eyeglass World!! John must have been trained, on Sales work, in a very rough place, and tortured while enduring his training. And his behavior must be approved of, also. Because why would it have developed into this? I felt like I was being beaten up, during pricing session on my overall purchase. My glasses, were going to cost me $600 ($80 for lenses, $176 for frame(s), and extra money for Anti-reflective coating, Polarization, Anti-scratch coating, and the list just goes on an on. Oh, and I needed to be told again and again that "You need Polycarbonate lenses for your frame design", when the computer record had clearly shown that I had Polycarbonate lenses on other pairs of open-frame(s). Try as I might, I was not able to just tell John that I just wanted simple single-vision lenses, and nothing more. He just had to add something else, to the purchase. I had suggested to John, by the strength of my prescription, that I would only need these types of lenses for seeing clearly at distances while driving at night, and nothing more. It was as if they would not let me out of their store, on Alma School Road, without me having to pay a bundle. Well, a person should not feel as bad as I do, just because they wanted to go to a familiar place, to get a nice pair of glasses. And evidently, being a former customer, has absolutely NO influence over how a person is going to be treated. I will not be buying glasses at this store. And I was going to bring my son there, also, to have his eyes checked, and considering doing this elsewhere also. Walmart? There are plenty of Optical places in town, including going on-line, Walmart, Costco, and other places, (since this IS A FREE COUNTRY), to get good service. People do not have feel berated for their freedom of choice, either. So when a person does have their eyes examined, here, and happens to ask about Pupilary Distance Measurement information, be prepared to be spit upon! In comparison to quality per unit cost, and purchasing glasses in town, it is now much better to buy them on-line. In fact, I would sincerely urge ANYBODY to do this. Just make sure that when you have your eyes examined, and receive your prescription, that the place will give you all of the data needed, to do so. Pupilary Distance measurement is needed, and in the correct Units, too. Ask for BOTH of these pieces of information where you get your exam. The next scam is that Optical places will probably stop giving out any information which allows you to go elsewhere to get your prescription filled. This place is okay, for an Eye exam, but don't go here to have your glasses made, unless you aesthetically enjoy being mistreated. read more

If you are going to Eyeglass World based on their claims of eyeglasses in an hour, you are sadly mistaken. Also if you believe their claim of a good deal, you are also sadly mistaken. My husband and I live 40 miles from this store but chose to go there based on their claims of service and prices. We ended up spending over $800.00 dollars for glasses for both of us. More than we have ever spent in 50 years of getting glasses. To top it off we had to wait two weeks for the glasses and have had to take them back twice for adjustments. Which has added $100 in gas to our total. We will never purchase glasses from them again. I am so sorry that I didn't take my prescription and walk out when they told us the price and how long it would take. I regret this decision so much. . read more
