I do not reccomend going here. I told the eye doctor over and over that I just was looking to get glasses because that's all my eye insurance covered. She repeatedly told me if I ordered contacts they would be covered due to bad vision and not effect my glasses reimbursement. In the Chandler office Teresa said the contact lenses I purchased in May were fully refundable within 90 days as long as they were in unopened boxes. I returned 6 boxes today because they are uncomfortable and exactly what I didn't want. After I left the store, Teresa called to tell me the lenses were only returnable for store credit. The contact lenses are not acceptable and the business backpedaled on all the claims made by their salesperson -- Teresa--at the time of purchase. Buyers Beware. read more

My family of 5 and I have been customers of this business for 5 years. Recently my wife attempted to reschedule her appointment, was never communicated with so she canceled her plans and showed up for her appointment. The manager Kaylie told my wife that she got her message to schedule so she canceled my wife's appointment and that it was my wife's responsibility to continue to call in to get the appointment rescheduled. My wife expressed dissatisfaction and asked to be seen as she was not given confirmation of a cancellation and Kaylie had no empathy towards the situation, again putting blame on my wife. My wife being frustrated with the lack of customer service stated that she may look into taking her business elsewhere to which Kaylie replied "bye, do what you have to do". The disrespect from the manager no less was enough for my family to leave this practice and take our business where we are treated with respect. read more

The doctor was over an hour late for my appointment. She does seem to know her stuff. However the prescription for my glasses was not available at closing so they agreed to mail it to me. Three weeks later, nothing. Spoke to Jenna on 2nd call was extremely rude and arrogant. She insisted I had a "mail problem ". I tried confirming my address bur she only confirmed number and street. My husband and I just moved and need to see a new eye doctor. We found great reviews of Dr. McCord and 20/20 so we came here. Both the dr and the staff were wonderful! Friendly, honest and helpful! I can't say enough about the incredible customer service! Dr. McCord helped me pick some contacts that were better suited for my lifestyle (and cheaper than the ones I had been wearing) and one of the women upfront helped me with some rebate forms and helped my husband pick new glasses. I recently became a new patient at this location and my initial experience was great. All of the staff, including the optometrist, opticians, and front desk staff were exceptionally courteous, friendly, and accommodating. My visit was completed relatively quickly. I felt very comfortable during the screening and I was completely satisfied with the answers to all of my questions. I also appreciated that the optometrist was conservative with his recommendations and I did not feel pressured in any way. I really like Dr. McCord. He is very good at what he does. The first time I saw him he adjusted my prescription from a Dr. I saw a year earlier. I couldn't believe the difference! My eyesight hadn't been that clear in years! I've seen him twice since. My eyesight has stabilized now, I only needed a slight tune up on one eye this year. The only reason that I put that info in this review, was to show that Dr. McCord wasn't giving me new prescriptions just to sell me glasses. My vision truly hasn't been this good in years. This review update is long overdue but I just had to raise them up a star because of the continuing excellent level of care that I have received from the eye doctors and staff here. The optometrists are all extremely knowledgeable and explain your options in a way that is easy to understand and pressure free. I have seen a variety of doctors in this office over the last few years and all were excellent. The office staff is also on top of their game. They are very pleasant and easy to work with and I have never had to wait for more than a few minutes when arriving for my appointment (a lot more than I can say for most Dr's offices). The best experience I had was a few months ago when I needed both new glasses and gas permeable hard contacts at the same time and also a full eye exam to get my prescription up to date. I was in an overlap period where I was covered both under my husband's insurance as well as a policy I had recently gotten from my job. The office manager at 20/20 went out of her way to figure out what to claim under which policy in order to have the lowest out of pocket expense for me. She spent a lot of time on this and I really appreciated the extra effort. It was above and beyond. The only thing that keeps them from five stars is that I do still think that their frames are a little pricey compared to other places but on this occasion I was reusing my old ones so I had no complaints. ;0) read more

The individual who helped me with my glasses knew I would be going out of town the following weekend and even offered to put a rush order on my glasses with no extra charge. Dr Stamper was great but she is no longer at this location. My husband's annual 2 pair of glasses for both regular use and motorcycling have always exceeded our expectations. I went to the store in Chandler and I got great service up until I paid for 2 sets of lenses to be made and fitted into my 2 old frames. I paid $620 up front and was told it would take about 5-7business days. Almost 2 weeks later they were still not ready and I had to call them to find out the status always. No phone calls, messages or anything to tell me there was a delay. Finally when I called to cancel the order they miraculously were finished as I was told. Later that day when I went in to get them I was told my main set of progressive lenses did not fit the frame. I cancelled one set because the other reading glasses were ok. It then took almost another 12 days to get my refund on my credit card...grrrr! I would not recommend 20/20 to even my worse enemy because that's how bad my experience was with them. Save yourself the grief I experienced and go somewhere else like lensecrafters or just dig your eyes out cuz that will be less painful! read more

I love going to 20/20 for the prescription as it is always right. The rest of the experience this time was less than enjoyable. Dr. McCord was stuck on selling us the progressive lenses and he wouldn't listen to me when I brought up other options. He didn't listen to my needs nor find an alternative option to the progressives. I had a chance to think about it for a few months while I did research and spoke to people who had them and I decided I didn't want them. I went back to order my glasses and spoke with Katie at the Chandler office and I explained I wanted to order the regular lenses without any progressive lenses. She didn't understand why I would't order the progressive lenses. I explained in doing my research, I found people who would be nauseous, dizzy, and it takes about a month to adjust to them for some people. I don't have a month to adjust as I need them for work. She said she wouldn't argue any of those things but she was still pushing they would be best for me. The glasses I wanted would be $485 for the progressive where as if I just ordered what I wanted, I would be looking at $243. Big difference! Katie would not let up. She spoke down to me and acted like I was an idiot for not wanting the progressive lenses. I decided there had to be another option, so I looked at ordering my glasses online. If you go to www.ZinniOptical.com you can find glasses starting at $6.95 for nice looking frames. All you need is your prescription and you can order them online. You can download a photo and go through several different frames from you own home and see what they would look like on you. I should be getting my glasses in 14 days and they were only $85 with scratch coating, UA, UVB on all glasses, free anti-glare. Great selection. My husband and I were both able to get prescription glasses for $27.99. For that price, you can get more than one pair! My husband even got the magnetic sunglass lenses for his. The most frustrating thing is to go somewhere to purchase a product or service and running into a pushy salesman/woman telling us what we should buy because of what they get out of it. This is informational for you. I scheduled with them because they are a provider under our insurance, Avesis. Per my conversation with them for scheduling and verifying insurance, they said Avesis was $10 copay for the exam and $130 towards glasses or contacts. Contacts were discussed because that's what I've primarily worn for a long time and I asked if the carried the brand of contacts I have worn for several years. I was emailed 3 pages of paperwork which I printed and completed before the exam. Upon arriving, I was handed an additional consent sheet that was specifically for contacts. I had to sign and consent to being charged another fee of $69 or $99 for contacts prescription numbers. Whether my additional charge was $69 or $99, I would only learn that after the exam. If I did not sign the form and consent to the extra charge, I would only be given prescription measurements for glasses. They said I could use the $130 towards the additional exam charges, leaving $31 or $61 insurance credit towards my contacts depending on what my additional fee was. I elected to not sign and therefore not do the exam. I will look elsewhere. I know that I have not paid an additional contact exam fee like this in the past. I wish they would have emailed this consent form with the other forms they emailed. Two weeks have passed since first scheduling, after them rescheduling due to doctor illness, and learning of the additional fee only upon arriving for the rescheduled appointment. read more

I have had a great experience with 20/20 Image Eye Center in Chandler, AZ. I have been going to this spot for years. Every year it gets better and better. Blake was outstanding !!!!! He is so knowledgeable about vision wear, frames, lens.... etc. He goes out of his way to be friendly and makes you feel important / special. He has superior customer service skills!!!! I was cheated by this store!!! I felt so angry and disappointed! I spent $368.65 dollars to buy two 6 packs contact lenses in this store on 7/11/2016. It's really expensive spend that much money on two 6 packs but their sales told me there would be $100 visa gift card rebate mailed to me so I agreed to make the purchase. Then I went home and waited about 2 months, I did not get any rebate in my mail. So I visited this store again around October and asked about it. The same girl said I was supposed to fill a form and mail it out within 14 days after the purchase. But she never said anything about I have to do that. So the end is she would fill and mail the form for me. Then I went home again and waited for it. Over another 2 months later, I still got nothing. I went to this store the 3rd time. A different girl, her name is Danielle, said she will do some research and call me about it. A few days later, she did call me and say they will cut me a $40 checks as rebate... I questioned why it's only $40. She said the manufactory only provide $40. That means the previous girl lied to me!!! I will not buy such expensive contact lenses if there is no $100 rebate... I made an appointment here because it is close to my house and my eye had been bothering me for a couple days. All the staff was very friendly and Dr. Mccord was able to diagnose my problem. Finally gave up on these guys after years of bad exams, low quality glasses, long wait to get glasses I ordered, redoing them several times due to poor lens making, just never feeling like I have seen as well as i should, or that my particular vision issues were being addressed. I had loved Dr Babu many years back. After he left this store, it was never the same. Pricing is insanely high even though they said they took my insurance. Was a customer for over 5 years. Had a bad experience trying to get my records from the Chandler office. They made me go to the Tempe office because they are unorganized and are unable to fax paper work between offices for some reason. When I asked the store manager for her supervisor's name and number at the Chandler office I was told that there isn't a supervisor and that the store manager was the one and only boss. Found out that she lied, of course, and complained to the supervisor after finding her on the internet. Also had an issue with an eye doctor that refused to write me a doctor note for school because my eyes hurt from the light when looking in microscopes. She flat out called me a liar even though a previous doctor at 20/20 Image said I have Photophobia. I told her this and that I am not trying to get out of class work as the note would allow me to look at printed pictures or pictures from the internet instead of having to look in the microscope but she still refused. I was a patient stating pain from light which a doctor there previously diagnosed me and included in his previous notes and provided alternative class work I could do instead of using microscopes but their new doctor still refused to do her job while I was still a patient and being seen for an eye exam by said physician.
