After years of going to the same eye doctor and noticing doctor turnover, I decided it was time to move on. I had new insurance/company and Optical Intuitions is in-network and relatively close to me. I was able to make an appointment relatively soon after reaching out to them last year. I have horrible vision and need an annual check up to get contacts or glasses. #firstworldproblems All of the staff I've met have been super kind. Last year, changes were made with insurance to what medical necessity contacts I could wear, so I had to try new ones which were a bit painful. Luckily though after a few weeks of trying the new dailys, I was able to swap them out for what I had been wearing after making a call and paying a small difference. A couple weeks ago I noticed we hadn't set up my annual visit - so I called and was able to make a next-day appointment. Again, more changes to my vision insurance but they've been able to give me more options to try before I set on one style for the year. I got a call asking how my contact samples have been going. Holy cow is so obvious while this business has 5 star reviews from everyone- Dr Amanda Misinco is quite literally the nicest doctor I have ever met in my life. They helped me 2x now in the last week- once in an emergency helping me through a scratched cornea immediately (even though I was a new patient for them) and the second time helping me get the right prescription for my glasses. Their office is so easy to access, easy parking, easy to find, sweet and helpful office staff - and great selection of glasses. I've been coming to Dr.Misinco and her staff for a few years. Dr.Misinco is amazing and takes very good care of me when I see her for my annual exam. I always feel super cared for by the staff and they help me pic out my frames and lenses all the time. Appointments are always on schedule and they're very easy to get ahold of. I needed an updated lens prescription to order new contact lenses and they got me right in within a week. I didn't have any vision changes and the optometrist was thorough yet super efficient. She got me right in and out as I was on my lunch break. Several of the local optometrists I have visited in the past are no longer taking my eye insurance so it was nice to find one that did and that had great customer service. Except for the doctor, these people really do not know what they're doing as far as what frames go with a particular face shape. All their frames keep falling down my nose and they don't know how to adjust. In addition to that, they incorrectly ordered bifocal lens when all I needed was a single lens for computer use. I have been looking for a new place to get my eyes checked. As an airline pilot, getting my prescription perfect, is important for me to keep my medical and keep flying. I had such a good experiance when I went to this office. The service was fast and the staff was extremely polite, knowledgable, and listened to what you wanted. Dr. Misinco is an amazing doctor and person in general. Sometimes, its so hard to tell if you can tell a difference between two lenses during the exam, and she was very patient with me when I would ask her to switch back and forth time and time again to get the clearest picture. She explained every test and procedure before doing it and broke down my results after the exam which I have never experiance. Most optometrists just tell you to go pick a frame and that's that. I even called my mom and told her I didn't ever want to move from the area because I never wanted a different optometrist. I have been going to Optical Intuitions and Dr. Amanda Misinco for about 3 years. Amanda and Trish have always been fantastic. Three years ago I was trying to move to from glasses to contacts. A vision chain that I went to at the time was not overly helpful and we couldn't see to get the prescription right. Amanda worked very hard and was very patient. She really worked to analyze my situation and come up with the right solution. After she stuck with me trying several different prescriptions we finally got it! Now I have a new condition in one eye (a rash under my eyelid), and she has again been very patient and diligent, helping me to get this under control. She and her staff are great! I didn't know how uncomfortable my contacts really were until I went to Optical Intuitions. Dr Misinco and her staff were very knowledgeable and professional and helped me understand what a great fitting contact really is. After just a few questions she knew that the contact I had was probably a little thick for my liking and switched me to a thinner one that I cant even feel. I haven't gotten my glasses yet, but the exam I received was thorough and comprehensive. Since they must use the lab my insurance mandates (which is awful) they have their own quality control in place so that they don't just give me the glasses when they arrive, which is what has happened with other optometrists. I then have had to return the glasses several times. However, Optical Intuitions is well aware of this problem and doesn't let bad prescriptions get through to the patient. In addition, Dr. Minisco seems to be very knowledgeable about various eye conditions and does a thorough exam. read more

At Costco eye doctors are given 7 minutes per patient. But here, you will actually be treated as a valued customer. This was the best experience I have ever had vising a doctor. I don't even know where to begin. But if you have an eye problem and want to be treated like an actual adult person and get the BEST care possible, this is the eye doctor for you. Oh and she seems to be incredibly knowledgeable. She spent 30 un-rushed minutes answering my questions and explaining everything in a way I could actually understand. Just awesome! read more
