I waited about 40 minutes for my appointment with the optometrist, thought I had an appointment. The exam itself was fine, though there was a lot of disorganization apparent through several staff interactions I observed. Afterward, I was browsing frames and had questions about the cost, but the staff told me, verbatim, "It's not worth calling your insurance to get the exact pricing until you're sure you want to purchase them. It's a hassle to call back then if you decide then you're not getting them." They weren't sure whether or not I could be eligible for their 2-for-1 promotion in addition to my insurance benefit, and couldn't seem bothered to find out. I think the kicker was when I asked about their hours they explicitly said they were really busy Sundays but there was only one employee then, so don't come. I wondered, if you know you get a lot of customers at a certain time, wouldn't it make sense to staff appropriately? Thanks, but I'll take my money elsewhere. I'm going to shop around, and if you can't accommodate that, you won't get my business. Don't go here. read more

The staff is rude and irresponsible, and the glasses are poor quality. The employees refuse to do their jobs, and steadfastly refuse to do anything to better help you, the customer. It took them literally months to receive my glasses, and after I called every week for a month, they told me not to bother calling anymore, because they would call me when they got them in. Finally, after nearly 3 months, we stopped in to talk to them to see what the big holdup was, and found they'd had my glasses for almost a month and "we were about to send them back if you didn't come in soon to pick them up." I told them they had said they would call when they came in, and asked why they wouldn't bother calling one more time before returning a customer's set of glasses, and they indignantly refuted my claims, saying no one had said any such thing. When I tried on my new glasses and needed to have them adjust the fit, they were too busy chatting to each other about gossip to pay any attention to me or to any of the other customers in the store. Every time I asked them to make any adjustment, they sighed, made it without really even interacting with me, and continued their conversation the whole time. A few months later, after we moved out of state, we called multiple times to request a copy of the prescription, so that we would have it for our records. They refused to give it to me, citing a different false reason every time. Save yourself the headache of dealing with this company, and get your glasses and contacts from a real vision company. read more

First time visit today. They advertise themselves as same day or next day glasses pick up. But I have to wait 7-10 days for mine. Besides that staff was awesome!!! Hunter was very helpful and patient with me as I could not make up my mind with my glasses frames. He was very informative when it came down to everything we were offered. If I could give zero stars I would. If you go here make sure they check your benefits. I went through a whole office visit and they did not tell me I was out of network so I will be paying a high price deductible. They also tried to add services on to my bill that I didn't agree to. They refused to do a pupil exam on me unless I purchased glasses with them. Dr. Ray has the worst bed side manner I've ever experienced, it seemed like he was uncomfortable with me being transgender. From start to finish this was the most pleasant, helpful, down to earth, and FAST experience getting glasses and an eye exam. In and out the door in UNDER AN HOUR. Paperwork filling, eye exam, paying, glasses picking included. Hunter was super helpful. Eye doctor (Ray or Roy?) super nice. Receptionist (didn't catch her name) in the eye exam portion was really nice and chill too. Purchased two pairs of glasses for my son and picked them up today. I would never pay their prices if they weren't on sale. They are 2 - 3 times as expensive as other places. By biggest issue is their terrible lack of service. When I picked out the glasses and paid it took over 20 minutes to be helped. I asked if they were just busy today and their employee said, "No. It is actually a little slow." I couldn't believe it since there several of us waiting to be helped. Tonight was no different. It took 20 minutes of standing in line to simply pick up the glasses. Like last time, there were only two employees working. I won't be coming back. read more

I had absolutely the worst experience with Eyeglass World. After my eye exam, I browse the selection of lenses for about 30 minutes, with not one employee offering any assistance. After hovering around the Customer Service desk for a good while, I manage to get the attention of someone, who seems annoyed that I was bothering her with my questions. Once my selection was made, and the transaction completed, I notice that the price is higher then discussed. When I brought this up, the lady told be that its just the receipts that are confusing, and that my addition is wrong. Excuse me? But seeing as how she was the only sales person on the floor, there wasn't anyone I could complain to. Later on that evening, I received a phone call from the night manager, apologizing for the overcharge and crediting my account. All of this could have been avoided if the saleswoman wouldn't have been so short and self righteous. A week later I go to pick up my glasses, only to have 1 pair in. When questioned, that same god awful sales woman was there, and she told me that I had only ordered one pair. No. No. No. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager was very helpful... to a point. When I tried on my glasses, they were so extreme on my eyes, that I couldn't wear them. When I explained this, all I heard was that I just need to wear them constantly, and I will get use to them. I went back into Eyeglass World a week later, complaining of the same thing, and I was brushed off again. Everyone I talked to said that it wasn't the glasses that were off, it was me not wearing them enough. Really? I went and got another eye exam, and found out the the optometrist was obviously a total quack. He had one of my eyes at a +1.50, when really it is a +.25!! So far off the mark it is disgusting. Now I have 2 pairs of glasses I cannot wear, and I am out of about $500. The service at Eyeglass World was so heinous and pathetic, that I will never let myself or anyone else I know step foot into that store. read more

I absolutely love the staff there. I took My son there last year for contacts and they were amazing. The doctor, the staff I ordered the contacts with (I believe his name was John), and later the other staff member that helped my son learn to put contacts in. They were so patient and helpful. I'm writing this review now because this morning my son got a contact stuck in his eye. He's 13 and was absolutely panicked. He couldn't find it so he thought it had slipped behind his eye. He was so scared that he was borderline hysterical. We jumped in the car and headed up there. They were so kind and got him in right away. The doctor was able to get the contact out within a few minutes. I was so impressed. I'd highly recommend this location and will never go anywhere else! read more

I didn't buy any glasses here but instead came for a free eyeglass adjustment. I bought some eyeglasses online (the drawback is that you can't get them adjusted if you buy online) and they fit really tightly around my head. I called other places and they wanted to charge me $10 but not here. Everyone was super nice too, might consider them in the future for eyeglasses since they seem to have good deals on 2 pairs. read more

I had been coming to this location for years and each time it was stressful and the staff was not helpful. The only thing this place cares about is money, and boy do they take it! I had only ever been to eyeglass world for my eyeglass exams, frames and contacts. Every time I was basically forced to purchase the retina photos and if I didn't have the money for them, I was treated like second class, the exams weren't performed throughly because I didn't pay the extra amount. If I even dare to ask for a copy of my prescription, they are hesitant and rude and basically imply that you are obligated to buy from them. If you want to buy frames, you're pushed to purchase expensive ones or multiples, and if you bring in your own frames, they again, are rude and not through. Basically, if you're not spending over $400 there, don't expect good service. I continued coming here because I figured this was the norm for most other optical stores, I had tried to branch out before and wasn't satisfied, but after constant bad service here, I went ahead and found somewhere (in my other reviews) much more affordable and the experience was way better than I had ever experienced here. First I was greeted by a lovely young woman who introduced me to Ariana who put me at ease and began the preliminary exam. She then introduced me to Dr. Ray who is very thorough and professional. At the conclusion of the exam I was helped by Yamile who completed the process of getting my contacts and answering my questions! This has been a horrible experience. DO NOT GO HERE, this company's advertising is very deceiving!!!! We went there because the advertisements said you could have your glasses the same day. THIS WAS NOT TRUE! We were rushed through the Dr Visit. My fiance' had insurance I did not. The buy one pair get one free is very deceiving. You get the frames free but you pay top dollar for EVERYTHING else. My 2 pair of glasses end up costing me over $600 and I didn't get what I wanted. My fiance' with supposedly great insurance ended up spending over $400. The staff is nice as long as you are spending money, but if you need anything else, forget it. My son is about as active as it gets, so it's a miracle that he has never broken his glasses before yesterday. When I arrived to pick him up from school yesterday, I saw him holding his glasses in two pieces (from final period PE). Being that it was already toward the end of the day, we had to scramble and find a place where we could get him an eye exam and put a rush on new glasses, so he'd hopefully only have one day of taped frames. We found Eyeglass world, and they had an available eye exam that same evening! When we got there, the staff could not have been nicer or more professional, they got him through his eye exam, and the Optometrist went over and talked to the Optician and let him know our situation. Even though he was already heading home for the evening (by this time it was right near closing time) He turned all the machines back on and made the glasses for us on the spot so we could leave with them! I have been trying to get new glasses and contacts since June. My insurance was accepted there and I thought their pricing of decent on the 2-for-1 deals. So no worth it. 1) The out of state lab has broken 3 frames I had picked out. 2) I have waited almost a month on two seperate occasions for my glasses to come in which is much longer than their supposed 7-10 day time frame. 3) Their employees all stand outside together on smoke breaks leaving the store unattended for those that need help. 4) I have worn glasses for over 20 years and I have never had such shoddy craftmanwork from their lab- the lenses have popped out in 2 different frames several times. The anti-glare protection is poor quality that smudges and smears the lenses more than if there was no coating at all. 5) Their affiliated Dr. left over 4 months ago and they refuse to give me my RX because the Dr. hasn't gone through the boxes. I was instructed to call the Dr. cell phone number and never heard back. 6) A pair of Gucci frames I picked out warped when they came back from the lab and didn't fit and verbatim staff said, "What do you want me to do about it?" Not worth it when their are so many other more helpful places. read more

Rude staff. Had only 2 employees be friendly with me. The rest were trying to get me to buy the most expensive things they had. I refuse to go somewhere where the only thing the employees think about is the cash they get in there pocket. I'm very sure this place is commission based because of how I was approached. The man Al that works here was very nice to me and made me feel welcomed and didn't take advantage of me for his pockets and in passing a woman named Sam was very polite and friendly as well and asked me if she could help me at all while I walked around. I think this place needs an overhaul on their staff and they need to get rid of the greedy ones. The staff should all be friendly and be there to help you not to take advantage of people. I popped in the other day to see about getting some new glasses. I've never worn glasses before, and this was on my way home, so I figured I would stop in and at the very least just browse the frame selection. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice staff and I ended up actually buying a pair. When I came in the door the staff were already helping other customers. I was told someone would be with me as soon as they could be. I browsed the selection for about 15 minutes before the other customers finished looking at a pair of frames and left. No one helped me initially, but I did ask one of the associates and he gave me some help. Its worth mentioning that while I was browsing my son decided to start throwing a fit because I would not let him play with the drinking fountain. An associate Ian went out of his way to actually give me a bottle of water for my son to drink. This was a very nice gesture, and I really appreciated it. I finally selected a pair of frames I liked. The staff were able to call my insurance and see what kind of discounts were available to me. Unfortunately my insurance only covered one pair of frames, so I could not take advantage of the buy one get one free sale, without having to pay a lot more. (The buy one get one free sale only includes plastic frames, but I opted to get the polycarbonate frames for an additional $90) I was very happy with the turn around time. It only took them an hour to have my new lenses in the frames and ready to wear. When I came to pick up my lenses the lab tech Ian helped me adjust them to my face properly. He gave me lots of good info about care for my new glasses and really went the extra mile to make a good impression. I was already impressed with their kindness earlier, but this was the icing on the cake. He even let me know they do free adjustments and replacement the nose pads for free! I would give 5 stars If the other staff would have helped me right after finishing with the customer before me. Not a big deal. I would definitely go there again. read more

I am not sure that anyone that works at this company knows what the definition of customer service really means. The service is unfriendly, slow and the facility is filthy. I've used restaurooms in gas stations that are cleaner. Not to mention, they're not really inexpensive, in fact quite the opposite. We had planned to get glasses but after waiting about 30 min after the eye exam with 3-people ahead of us, we decided to just take the script and go. Now I find out after trying to order glasses online, that they didn't provide the PD (pupilary distance) on the script so we have to go back in to get that measured because when I called they said, "its not something we normally provide" - um but in order to get glasses you need the PD so what good is the script! I called in after getting hit by a car and having the glasses I just bought last month destroyed. I was obviously distraught and I spoke with "John" on the phone and explained my situation (fully expecting to be SOL). John looked up my glasses in the system and told me to come up and talk to him and assured me that he could help me out. Upon arriving at the store John was able to pop the scraped up lenses out of the destroyed pair when I got there abs immediately put the lenses in a brand new set of the same frames I had picked out last month and put in an order for new lenses for me and all of this took place in roughly 20 min! I had an unbelievable customer experience and I'm super grateful the staff always is! They might not be the fanciest glasses place in town but they always have incredible employees who work hard to do right by their customers and I will never buy glasses anywhere else from now on...THANK YOU JOHN! read more

I always recieve amazing\fast service, especially from the licensed optician who goes by the name - "John". I have read some very untruthful posts from others who have used this location that is simply false, as false could be. The emloyees I have been helped by have always been the most positive, cheerful people I would say in the industry. They get busy alot, but even in those trying times remain patient, and always leave you with a smile walking out the door. I was here back in February and it would have been the third time I've gotten some kind of optical lenses from here. The first time I went I remember not being too sure about the location but I have never had issues with them in my times of going there. This last trip I made to eyeglass world was absolutely efficient and fantastic. I work 12 hour shifts and it's hard to plan to get these appointments out of the way but with their hours and the online portal to schedule appointments it makes it easy. I got to sit with Nico and she was a ball of fun! She helped me pick out some sunglasses that I was on the bridge of not getting. My eyes are so bad that the glasses company didn't even make lenses for my eyes, Nico generously suggested getting custom lenses with eyeglass world! She helped me pick out the color and the reflective color of the lenses and even provided examples to look through and see! Then to make it all the better once everything was ordered and done and shipped in I went back to the shop to pick up my glasses and of course Nico was there to enjoy the moment with me and she remembered our previous interaction. I only sat with her for so long and can tell you that she will go above and beyond anyone else and is definitely a joy to talk to. All in all I like this location and I think all their employees deserve kudo points for being sooo amazing when they know they don't have to do that. read more

I was always helped right away, sometimes there was wait, but then I got to browse their selection. I understand now that they are under new management. Very Terrible Customer service!! Rude manager. I first was told to bring glass prescription in before 7, no problem for next day; call next day to verify 7pm cutoff time, and I am told not to bother to come in since they are too busy; I find another branch that has openings, and call to find out if I can bring stuff to their store and pickup at other branch; they say will call me back in 10 minutes - but 15 minutes before they close, manager calls to say maybe (won't answer simple question), then hangs up on me when I ask why she couldn't call sooner so I had time to drop off stuff.
