My daughter just started wearing contact lenses last week and needed immediate care. I tried reaching our primary eye doctor, but the earliest available appointment was at 12 p.m. We couldn't wait that long... I then contacted Neighborhood Vision Center around 6:30 a.m., and they responded immediately to my text. She was able to see Dr. Kent Kneip at 7 a.m. Dr. Kent Kneip and the receptionist were incredibly helpful and kind. He examined her eye very carefully and explained everything thoroughly. He truly took great care of my daughter. We need more doctor like Dr.Kent in America. They genuinely saved my day--I was very worried about her eye last night since we are new to contact lenses. We will definitely be switching our primary eye care to this office for future contacts and glasses. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I was seen about 5 weeks ago. Office staff is way too friendly ! I mean that in a good way. They are a well oiled machine . The medical assistant put my eyes through all the tests and then the Doctor came in. It seemed I was the only patient in his building . He wasn't rushed ... explained everything to me .... Probably didn't even need to go to the extent that he did but I was grateful for it.... Took about 2 weeks to get the glasses I needed ... that visit was like the first one ... they have a system and it works well ! I highly recommend them ! read more

I called for an appointment, was not offered any days or times and after second option I requested was denied and still wasn't given available options. When I asked what was available she hung up on me mid sentence. Luckily my UPS insurance works at a lot of vision offices and dont need these people. read more

My husband and I were referred to Dr. Kent Kneip at the Neighborhood Vision Center and have been so pleased to find an excellent private practice optometry office for our annual eye exams and glasses. Scheduling was easy, and they even checked on our insurance before our appts. The office is clean, comfortable and conveniently located just off the 202 in Gilbert on Higley. The staff was friendly and welcoming during our entire visit. Pre-testing and photos were done well by a tech who did a great job explaining how to do each test. Dr. Kneip is knowledgeable, a great listener and took the time to thoroughly examine our eyes and answer our questions. My husband needed a referral for a retinal issue, and the office scheduled the appt for us, texted us the information and sent over a letter explaining the reason for the referral. They have an extensive selection of frames, and the opticians are so helpful in maximizing your insurance benefits and finding the perfect new frame. How many doctors do you know that actually keep your appointment time??? My first impression walking in.... Clean, friendly and very welcoming. The entire staff said hi, I then met Andy who wakes me through a thorough overview. Next was Dr. Kneip and I can't say enough great things about this man!!! I am so impressed with the entire experience. I have had a LOT of eye exams in my life and never have a felt better about the treatment, price and care I received from Dr. Kneip and his staff. I had a really great experience with Dr. Kneip and his entire staff. They made me a beautiful pair of Jimmy Choo frames with Transitions lenses, progressives, and every coating available. The icing on the cake is that they are seven minutes from my house, door to door! I really lucked out with them and I'll be getting future pairs of glasses there as well. Although I've been in Arizona for awhile.. I'm sad to say it had been some time since I had my eyes examined (too long!) I spent a ton of time asking around for recommendations and looking at reviews and decided upon Neighborhood Vision Center. Besides it close location it had good reviews and seemed to have good pricing. I scheduled my first visit and from there we went. The staff here was really friendly and helpful. I had my exam done and ended up having to get myself a pair of (much needed, apparently) contacts! Besides insurance, I was given a rebate for the purchase of a years supply. They gave me enough samples to try out two kinds before making a decision and placing the order then provided me with a few more until mine arrived. Overall, I would definitely recommend Neighborhood Vision to friends and family. Of course, if anything changes I'll be sure to let you know :) So... GO GET YOUR EYES CHECKED! ha :D read more

A few years ago, my wife randomly chose Neighborhood Vision Center to get our eyes checked. Since that time, I have been quite happy. First, the customer service is unrivaled even by some of the doctors I have had in Chicago. After the typical battery of exams, my favorite part begins...picking my new frames. I never choose a frame without doing the "Gaby" test. Gaby is the office manager and she's got a really good knack for finding those frames that work well with your facial features, complexion, etc. She and I are usually on the same page when it comes to picking frames for my wife and myself. For instance, my wife and I both have Silhouettes, Michael Kors, Oga, Jaguar, Nike (Sunglasses), Theory (Sunglasses), and other high end frames. They also have a very extensive selection of sunglasses by Bebe, Juicy Couture, Nike, and others. Besides Gaby, all of the office staff is a delight to work with. I periodically bring my glasses back for adjustment by Rachel and she does a very thorough job in adjusting them. read more

My husband and I were patients in excess of ten years. We get examined and new glasses yearly. I called for a appointment today and was told they don't use Davis plan anymore. They stopped several weeks ago, so without any notification I need to find another DR. I feel they should have notified the customers the change in policy. Poor business ethics . read more

This was the first vision center we went to when we first moved out here 5 years ago. I won't go anywhere else. It's about a 40 min drive from where we live but the Dr is well worth it. I have been to chains in the past, and private, and they all seem to care about the bottom line, not your vision. He is quite different. We live all the way in Show Low, but our two kids have been in the valley for college 4-5 years. We lived there along time ago and when they needed eye care... I had always gone to Target or Nationwide for my eye care, but recently a good friend recommended I see Dr. Kent Kneip. Completely different experience all together. The technology used in my eye exam was incredible, I actually got to see what my eye looked like on a good sized monitor which was amazing. The exam took about an hour, nothing was rushed and procedures were explained. The Dr. is pleasant, soft-spoken, and thorough. I had a comfortable and relaxing experience with him. Then I got to chose glasses!!! With Gaby!!! Boutique-style and pampered with a professional and fun opinion catered to my style and needs. Gaby made my time there super fun and I ended up choosing sunglasses and everyday glasses in my prescription. I have a high prescription, so in the past my choices for cute glasses were very limited. At Neighborhood Vision I tried on 20+ pairs and Gabby helped me take my time and narrow it down. I was never excited to pick out glasses until I came here. I am compelled to write this review because I feel like this office is a hidden gem in Gilbert. I had an amazing experience and will definitely look forward to going back every year. They have so many brands of edgy and fun glasses, I need to make more money so I can have many more pairs :) read more

I started seeing him when he worked in Tempe and then followed when he established Neighborhood Vision Center, even though it was a longer drive time for me. He cares about his patients and spends the time that is needed to be sure that the glasses and/or contacts are providing the best possible sight.
