This was my first time visiting Eyeglass World and I was impressed! Julia was super knowledgeable and friendly. I've worn glasses my whole life and she taught me stuff I didn't know - in a short time too. My son had lost his glasses in the lake earlier the day and needed them for work the next day. We showed up an hour before they closed. Julia helped us and didn't seem annoyed at all. We had his prescription, info on the last frames he had purchased and a picture of him. (He wasn't with us as he hadn't gotten home from the lake yet). While the frames we picked weren't exactly what he had, she worked to find ones that were similar shape, right size and in stock so she could have ready for us the next day by 12:00pm. Wow! I went in last night to get some nose pads for my mom's glasses. My mom has done medical issues and was in the hospital when I noticed her glasses were missing the nose pads. I can in just after 6 pm just as they were closing. I have never been there before but she not only installed the nose pads but adjusted the frames straight and tightened down the screws cleaned them and put them in a clear plastic case to protect them. She also offered to make additional adjustments if I brought my mom in to make sure they fit correctly on her. read more

I'm sorry I went there to buy glasses. I picked out 2 pair of frames. The expensive pair should have been billed to my insurance company and the less expensive pair to me. The bills were flip flopped. I called to have the billing corrected. Rachel got an attitude with me and told me I had to go to the store to have my credit card credited. I went to the store, and the entire time I was there Rachel had an attitude and was very rude. After crediting my credit card I was told that she would credit the insurance company and it would take a few days before I could pick up my glasses. I was so upset when I left there over the way Rachel had treated me. After thinking about it for a few days, I called the store and canceled my order for both pairs of glasses. 3 weeks later I went to a different place to buy glasses. When they checked my insurance i was told I did not have enough funds to pay for the glasses. I contacted my insurance company and they were not contacted by Eyeglass World to cancel the glasses. Thankfully, they voided the claim while I was on the phone freeing up the funds for me to purchase my glasses. I'm convinced the insurance company was not contacted to void the claim out of spite. Save yourself grief and purchase your glasses somewhere else that has professional people that dont get an attitude with customers. read more

I have been to eyeglass world previously but another location. I chose to use them again because they have a huge selection of glasses at reasonable prices and the glasses are ready the next day. My situation was somewhat of an emergency because my current glasses were barely staying together in one piece. I didn't have a backup pair and I can't wear my contacts all day everyday. I was able to get an appointment the same day I needed an exam due to their reasonable hours of operation. I got an appointment after work, was seen right away by the doctor. The exam was quick and informative (since I do have some new vision issues). I was helped with selecting my glasses and there was no push to pick out more expensive options. I was able to select my glasses quickly as I "shopped" on their website earlier in the day before my appointment. I tried on the pairs I liked from my online search and was able to make selections quickly. There was no pressure to add features to my lenses either. She told me the options and I selected what I knew I could afford, paid and was on my way! So easy and quick and seamless. Everyone was so kind and helpful and it made the experience wonderful. I will be returning for my contacts and future vision needs. read more

I came to eyeglass World with my father because he needed to get new glasses. When you enter the front doors, there is a sign on the table that indicates every customer must wear a facemask and get their temperature checked. They offer hand sanitizers as well at the front door. They have a large assortment of glasses for both men and women, including sunglasses that are located in the back corner and fancy designer glasses on the opposite side. Above each column there is a display of the price for eyeglasses in the section. Example, if you selected two pairs of glasses from one column, the sign might read some thing like two pairs for $129. When you try on a pair of glasses, you can either place the ones you are considering to purchase in one of the clear bins they provide you with or you place it in the green bins distributed around the store. The green bins are for glasses that customers have tried on but do not want to purchase and they get cleaned and sanitized before being put back on the shelf. The employees that helped us were very kind and informative. They helped explain different types of treatments for glasses and took great attention to detail when it came to measuring my dad's eye shape to best fit the lenses for the glasses he was purchasing. In addition to the store, in the back there is an independent eye doctor for eye exams. From what the store employee told me, general eye exams for glasses run about $50 and if you want to add on the exam to get a contact prescription, it's an additional $40. So for those of us who wear both glasses and contacts, you are looking at around $90 for the exam offered here without insurance. Again, this was based on the information the employee gave me so if you do go or are considering going, I would definitely call in to speak with the front desk of the independent eye doctor. read more

I came in last week to use my yearly insurance claims for one pair of glasses and was very happy to get someone who cared enough to walk me through the eye exam, and the purchase of a new set of transition (I'm old) glasses. It was a smooth process. Today, I came back to get another 2 pair of the designer glasses (I'm not too snobby) and a set of new lenses for my Ray Ban sunglasses I had purchased online through Ray Bay. The sales rep here at Eyeglass World on Market street, Joseph, was extremely kind, and possessed some of the best sales person characteristics that I have seen in a long time. He gave me the best option for my sunglasses, AND, said that ALL 3 lenses could be done today by 5p! What?! They do that still?! I am SO glad that I came to get ALL 4 pair of glasses here! I brought both my daughters here to get glasses. The optometrist is very personable . He took the time to answer any questions I had and provided his input on whether or not my freshman in high school could wear contacts. The person who helped us with glasses was helpful for the most part. I did have to ask her to have my daughters face measured. That way we knew which glasses to try on or not. I do feel that they could improve on their customer service in that manner but in every other aspect they rocked. She did recommend some glasses that my daughter wound up picking. She also recommended the best way to save the most money between buying glasses and contacts. The icing on the cake, 13 and under get additional discounts on glasses. Their selection of glasses are ok. If you are elooking for higher end frames or something on the trendy side I wouldn't recommend them although they do have a small designer frame section. But other than that I would recommend them. They are more than reasonably priced. I wound up paying $130 for two pairs of glasses for my 13 year old. That included scratch protection on both pairs. Now I don't think you can pull that off on adult frames but they definitely are the bet bang for your buck! read more

I am ecstatic about this business and that it has an in store lab, which most optical places do not have. Having had cataract surgery about 5 weeks ago, and my vision was not able to be corrected fully, I've needed others to drive for me because I couldn't see well enough to drive and didn't have old glasses that would allow me to see well enough because my vision was corrected more in nearsightedness and my astigmatism reduced by half. Eyeglass world was the ONLY optical place I could find that could get glasses made in store AND in fewer than 7 days. In fact, this location got my glasses made in a little over an hour. Not only that, I was able to get 2 pairs of single vision glasses for a total of $78. I do wear progressives and I didn't want to spend the price for progressives, which about $200 was still great. But I expect my vision to still change some over the next 3 months so I didn't want to spend too much on glasses I would wear for such a short period. My face is kinda wide and the bridge of my nose flat, so I needed glasses that had nose pieces and they had quite a few frames that looked great on me. I ended up finding 4 pairs that I liked and chose 2 to buy. My close up vision was good, but I really needed glasses for distance. I just got the regular plastic lenses and now that my prescription is a lot lower, these lenses were not too thick. My nearsightedness was reduced by about 60%, so for many years now, I've needed to pay extra to get thinner lenses. Normally 1 pair of progressives is near $1K each year so I was so happy to only pay $78 for 2 pairs, albeit single vision. I'm going to bring my kids here for future glasses because it's so cost effective. No need to wait 2 weeks to get your glasses made. Even the more expensive frames, it's still less than most optical places. I would highly recommend. Oh, the person that helped us was Truly (so?). She was very easy to work with, professional, friendly, efficient. Thank you so much for making me very happy and making my day, I can now see clearly to drive again. read more

I will NEVER go back to this place again. It was my first time as a patient on 6/2024 at the Market St, Gilbert location. I decided to give them a try because of their prices. I have been wearing glasses for 5yrs and have been very happy with my previous optometrist. But they were always a bit pricier, so I wanted to try a new place. What a mistake. My initial appointment went fine. It went downhill when I picked up my new prescription. The Caucasian older lady with glasses was nice at first, but when I told her the prescription was all wrong and it was too strong, well she didn't like that. So, I had to come back for another prescription and a different girl helped me. She was a short lady with glasses and had dark black curly hair. She had no personality and kept saying the same thing over and over. I was not happy with that prescription. I had to come back multiple times because they couldn't get it right. I worked with Hans the rest of the time. He had such a strong cigarette smell all the time; I hated it! He was nice for the most part but was definitely tired and frustrated with me because I was just not happy with the prescriptions. After 6 months of going back and forth with them, I ended up with the same prescription I was wearing with my previous optometrist. What of waste of my time it was. read more

Bad from the start. Glasses were not ready as promised. When I finally got them, I couldn't see a thing. After dealing with several employees, the store manager finally agreed to get me in next day. When I showed up they claimed U didn't have an appointment! Finally worked me in and they changed prescription. While better, I am still struggling. Shanne made my experience with this company stress free. I cannot express how much of a help he was with me. As well as the the rest of the employees. I had to redeem a new pair after my puppy ruined the ones I had just bought. He was very helpful and kind. I went in thinking I would have to buy a new pair at full price. Very much wish I could leave a good review for this eyewear provider, as this was my first time using them. I not only provided the examining doctor (Salima) with my prior (2018) prescription, but told him verbally as well that I have a turned eye due to a trauma of 2016, and that the turned eye required a special prism to correct its (far vision) sight. I even showed him my prior far-vision glasses containing a 2nd lens attached, which is the prism'd lens to correct the turned eye, which I feel was ignored. Tried them on at pick-up on 2/18/22, and they seemed fine as I looked around the room. Unfortunately, to my detriment, I did not begin wearing the glasses until 5 months later due to a lengthy illness, as well as my trust that they were rx'd and made correctly. This resulted in my realization that the required prism lens was apparently not in place, and my having zero far vision in my left eye; I now have to watch tv and drive with my left eye closed, as its vision is so badly skewed. I realize that I am out of luck because of: (a) my inattention that the glasses were not rx'd and made accurately and (b) the store's time-sensitive policy, but paying $448 for new glasses that I cannot use has been most disappointing. I am 70 years old, and these mistakes - on the eyeglass provider's, as well as my own due to trusting that they were made accurately, have created a real hardship for me. read more

Went for the first time today for an eye appointment and to get new glasses. What a great experience all around! The doctor was very nice and thorough. And picking out glasses was very easy... pricing was great too. I also love their warranty for glasses, it's not too expensive and I feel like I'll use it since my kids always mess with mine.
