Short and sweet: Super knowledgeable, super friendly, super descriptive and finally have a prescription I like!!! Highly recommended! The details: Glasses and exams are separated - have to go the back to get your eyes tested and they have all the bells and whistles (without the price tag) Know how you sometimes need to do the dilation test? Well, they have a super cool computer scan that can give you even MORE details. I learned more about my eye than any place I've ever gone before! The doctor was friendly, efficient and knew his stuff!! When he matched me perfectly the first time I knew I had found my eye doctor.. I asked him to please not retire anytime soon! Not only am I near sighted, I also have an astigmatism and it's sooo hard to find the right lense and contacts for me. This place made it seem like this is everyday stuff and got me fitted super quick!! The guy who checked me in was super detailed and cleaned everything as we went along - so you def don't have to question how clean the place is! They print out everything after they explain everything in detail - there is no guessing no asking for anything printed, they just offer it! Then to the ordering - I already had my own frames and they didn't make me feel bad (like some other unnamed places) - Visionworks was just happy to help!! Rachel was the one who assisted me getting my glasses and contacts ordered. She shared how to get some combo cost savings and didn't mind me blabbing my story of why I was afraid to order the left, but definitely wanted to get the right - don't know if I'm changing prescriptions or not for the left just yet (it was such a close change. Even when I wanted to double check the eye measuring for the glasses she was happy to let me, even when it read the same (haha- thanks Rachel!!) Overall, I was so impressed with my experience that I can say I have found my new vision place for LIFE!! I had seen reviews of other locations and get a smidge nervous - but if any Visionworks is like the one here off of Staples, you are in GOOD hands! read more

Came in this morning to possibly get my glasses repaired. Lady w gray hair and glasses helped me as I walked in. She seemed bothered and was short. I asked a couple of questions and again seemed bothered by this. I rarely make reviews but went to this location as it's closer to my house. I usually go to the Visionworks at Super Springs mall, excellent experiences there. I won't be back to the Stapley location in the future. read more

My family has been going to this location for several years now. The assistants and doctors are always very kind. The two doctors that we've seen have each taken the time to explain things and give you the opportunity to ask questions. The optical supervisor, Tim Torrez, is great! Super knowledgeable, friendly and funny! He made my kids feel welcome and had fun with them when they had sat down at one of the empty desks to play "employee and client." He gave us each an extra case and cloth for our glasses, including my 2 girls, so they could continue playing "eye doctor" . I highly recommend the Stapley/ Baseline location! read more

I came in with a a pair of my glasses that I had purchased a year ago that snapped In half when I was cleaning them to get my options available. Rachel is amazing, she noticed that they still sold the same model of frames I had, she grabbed the pair on the shelf and popped my lenses in there. I was ready to pay for a new pair, I love this style of glasses and was so upset they broke. I am so thankful that Rachel replaced my glasses. She really made my day. After several years of using the same optometrist, I decided to try somewhere new. I chose this Visionworks location due to the reviews, and boy do they live up to it! We've had two appointments there now, mine last month and my son's today. During my appointment, the staff was really attentive to and understanding of my wild toddler (3 y/o). It never feels good, as a parent, when your child is a bit too rowdy for the setting; but the staff let her walk around, try on glasses and even kept an eye on her while I handled some portions of my appointment. Obviously, they are not a daycare service; but the feeling I got from the interaction was more like "it takes a village". I really appreciated them not making me feel any judgmental pressure. Fast forward to today's appointment, for my son (9 y/o), and I couldn't help but smile while listening to them care for him. Grant (who sits at the eye exam check-in table) managed the first portion, and guided my son SO WELL through the puff station (if you know what the "puff" thing is, you know how that can be a bit angsty at any age). He had my son giggling and made reference to gaming headsets, when explaining how to place his face onto the machine. Suddenly they were speaking the same language :) Dr. Lerma was phenomenal with his actual eye exam, really helping to pinpoint my son's needs and discovering he has astigmatism! Then, Tim (the retail supervisor), walked my son through various frame options while I handled the eye exam payment with Grant. When I finished, Tim had helped him pick out two options, which he excitedly modeled for me. He ended up picking a cool blue pair - check out the pic :) His smile says it all. We had gone to Visionworks when they were located in the Chandler Fashion Center and never had any issues. I decided to try the Stapley location since it is closer. My exam went well and the staff was very friendly. The issue began with my glasses not feeling right. Of course my glasses being progressives didn't make it easy. I had gone back 4-5 times for adjustments and each time my glasses felt even more uncomfortable and warped. I was getting headaches and it was very tight in the temples. The gentleman appeared to be bothered by me every time I visited. The other lady there was nice and helpful but each time she adjusted my glasses it just got more off kilter and more uncomfortable. Jada was the most helpful and got closest to getting a better fit. However my glasses still felt off kilter. I happened to be passing by another establishment (a competitor) to see if they could help. And I was willing to pay. They gasped and recommended and eyeglass repair shop. I went there and the guy gasped too. After he examined my eyewear he stated the frame was small for my head size which was a part of the problem. He did the best he could to work with my distorted frame. He stated whoever helped you select these frames should've realized that they were too small for for your head. They also should've realized that while adjusting them. Either they didn't know what they were doing or didn't care enough. He was a bit dismayed in how my glasses were tweaked. He got it adjusted to where it was no longer painful and over the next few days my headaches subsided. And I was able to see with my progressives without the awkward line of sight. In hindsight I felt that maybe the skill set in the retail area wasn't where it needed to be at this location. Apparently they didn't recognize that the frames were not a proper fit for my head. They felt ok but at the time. but in long run it was uncomfortable and awkward. The skill set in making adjustments wasn't there either. I'm not sure if I would go back. I'll for sure do a bit research on prescription eyewear establishments and see who stands out in customer service and professional skill. For now I may be stuck with what I have. read more

All of the staff were incredibly personable as well as professional, and made my husband and I feel very comfortable. They were also very accommodating to the fact we had our 4 week old with us by testing us separately so someone was able to be with her then the doctor saw both of us in the same exam room at the same time. Dr. Kay changed my prescription to actually address my astigmatism, which never had been done with any previous eye doctors I had seen. read more

I just like to say racheal was amazing and a smith of the glasses I came in due to my fault of sitting on them I thought to my self how long and how much would it be to get them fixed I called she answered so nice and calming of me being in the panicked state asking if this could be fixed she said yeah I'll take a look bring them in so I did she greeted me like a close friend and told me to wait not even two minutes I was next she said this was no problem I asked how much she said free I was astonished and they way she fixed them in less than ten minutes I was shocked beyond belief mouth wide open a true craftsman of the glasses I owe my deepest thanks and gratitude to the vision works absolutely amazing service I'm very happy and they earned a loyal person. read more

I came here about two weeks ago while on a trip to Arizona because I badly needed a way overdue exam. This Visionworks is super clean and the entire staff is friendly to the point where you don't feel like just a job to them. Justin did a great job making sure I could sit comfortably at each machine while doing the eye tests. Then I went in and had my prescription and overall eye health checked with Dr. Lerma, who went above and beyond in answering my questions and assured me that I'm taking good care of my eyes. When it came time to picking my frames, Tim helped me find pretty much exactly what I was looking for with my old glasses. Lastly, Megan got me all wrapped up, complimented my choices and gave me an approximation of when the glasses would be ready which was awesome because they came sooner than expected. I love my new frames and they feel better than my old ones, all thanks to this team at this Visionworks location. read more
