Had an appointment and was a about 10 minutes late. They refused to see me. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and me scheduled back to back appointments with Dr. Amy and her staff. The door was opened promptly upon our arrival(COVID), and we were greeted with fully masked staff and one other customer who was in the building. The process to schedule our appointment and get our new patient paperwork was all done online, BONUS! We were checked in quickly and taken back promptly for the first part of the exam, and then right into the room for the rest. Dr. Amy and her staff were thorough, appointments were quick and painless, although not so quick you felt rushed. Dr. Amy and her staff were personable and made us feel like we were old friends. The drs here are great! But there worker Amy is an absolute bitch!! And it's really unfortunate that she makes people not want to come here anymore when the Dr Amy is amazing!! But I will no longer be coming here due to the regular worker Amy. She will hangup in your face and not answer your questions correctly and has very poor customer service! She will also run your card incorrectly and then hangup immediately after in your face not letting you know what she is running your card for. Super friendly staff and Dr. Lee is amazing! We came to her because my daughter's prescription is pretty high for a 7 yr old, think bifocals, so Dr. Lee evaluated her and determined she was a candidate for CRT. The CRTs came in quickly and my daughter was able to insert them and take them out like a champ! Family and I have been here several times for annual exams, contacts/glasses, etc. have always had a good experience. What prompted me to write this review is the superior service I received recently, in a time of need. Without being too descriptive, I had a potential "eye emergency". With all of the COVID-19 hysteria everyone was closed except the ER, and this wasn't that kind of emergency. (Blurry in one eye). I called Accurate Family Vision and left a message with their after-hours operator. I honestly didn't expect a call back as it was a weekend. Not long later I received a call from Dr. Lee as she has some questions/concerns. After discussing over the phone, she concluded I had a problem with my retina and referred me to a specialist. I scheduled an appointment a few days later and laser surgery fixed me up, I was a happy customer. To top this off, a few days later Dr. Lee called me personally to check up on how I was doing - very classy. Just wanted to give kudos to a good local business doing a great job. My son loves to choose his frames from their in house selection. Not only do I pay more for these, but it is a longer wait process. When I go through other select "known to be cost effective, as well as quick return process". This time I allowed my son to make his choice in their office, which now I am regretting entirely. My receipt for a single pair of glasses reads 300$ and my payment was made a month ago. My son has serious vision issues. Which his eye doctor would, and should recognize. Had a fantastic appointment at AFV. It's been many years since I've had my eyes looked at and this was my first visit to this office. Everyone was very friendly and I was seen on time. Each step of the exam was explained to me and Dr. Lee went over the images of my eyes and explained what everything was - new tech since my last exam and honestly fascinating. Afterward, I felt no pressure to buy glasses that same day but when I decided to go ahead and look at frames they helped me find something inexpensive and durable (important because I'm around little people all day). If you like exams where you have no idea what is going on and feel pressured to spend a lot of money this is not the place for you. Dr Lee is compassionate and personable. it's very convenient to get fitted for contacts and eyeglasses and not have to go all over town hauling my prescription looking for a better price. I found prices here comparable to Costco (after a discussion with the rep and learning what I didn't have to pay for (progressive). My first impression was upon entering the store. The door is locked during business hours to insure that all who enter wear masks for their own protection and the protection of staff and other customers. The previous optometrist office I used was a free for all with employees wearing masks below their chins and others not wearing them at all. I prefer Dr Lee's wise and caring approach. I was seen promptly and ran through several tests before Dr Lee saw me and checked out my vision with additional testing. It was all so smooth and thorough and I was amazed at how reasonable the cost was. Then my experience selecting frames was the best I've ever had and I've been wearing glasses for 65 years. Instead of the usual method of sending you on your own to confront selection among hundreds of frames, the optician asked me what kind of frames I wanted then left me sitting down while she went and got multiple frames for me to choose from. She was very pleasant and professional and never tried to push one frame over another. Because my lenses are special order high index lenses (+10) I was told it could take up to 3 weeks to come in, which didn't surprise me because that's what I experienced elsewhere many times before. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call telling me my glasses were in just 7 days later. The pickup and final fitting experience were similarly pleasant and professional with minimal waiting time. I have been seeing Dr. Amy Lee since they opened this location a few years ago. She is extremely knowledgeable and is great with my three kids. I love the selection of eyeglasses they have and their staff always helps me pick out great frames. My son is now 12 years old and has been wearing hard contacts at night so he does not have to wear any glasses or cot during the day. (Ortho-K). Not all doctors do this treatment and I am so happy that Dr. Amy Lee does this. It is a life changer for him as he plays sports.
