I had an amazing experience. I went as a walk in with my 2-month old daughter. The staff was super fast and caring. Dr. Quan was very compassionate. My baby started to demand my attention in the middle of the examination. Dr. Quan allowed me to hold my baby to calm her down. I even breastfed her for 5 minutes to put her to sleep while he was finalizing the prescription. Great experience and amazing, understanding staff. read more

Today was my first time here because I couldn't go back home to Orange County to see my usual optometrist. Upon my arrival everyone was nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, my primary optometrist has a claim on my visual insurance and my visit was going to cost money. I had an eye infection and wanted to get my eyes checked if it's nothing too serious but since my insurance wasn't going to work here I was going to walk out without knowing. However, the Dr. wanted to see me regardless he says it was just a "nice favor" for me. He gave me the right antibiotic that killed all the bacteria in my eye instantly and gave me a coupon for solution to clean my contacts better. He gave me his cell phone number just in case I had any problems I can always text or call him. He was really helpful and nice. I could have walked away not knowing if my eyes were going to be ok and I would still have an eye infection, BUT he still saw me anyways. People like him makes me happy that there are doctors and health care providers that aren't just doing it for the money but to help people and Dr. Tran did just that. Thank you! Much appreciated. read more

This place is awesome. From the doctor to the staff, they're all great! Asked for an appointment the day before and they put me in. The office is really nice and clean. I walked in and I was helped immediately. The front office receptionist helped me out and even processed my insurance. I looked around to see the selection they had while I waited for the doctor. He came and greeted me with a firm handshake. I immediately liked him because he seemed very confident and personable. He takes me to the back and asks my concerns. He was very nice! We talked about work as he did the exam. What I appreciated from him the most was that he explained everything to me. He gave me suggestions about eye wear and also went over my eye issue. He didn't dismiss me, he actually seemed genuinely concerned. After the exam was over, he sent me to Daisy. She was great! She explained to me the types of lenses and upgrades very thoroughly. I appreciated her help alot. I had fun talking to her. She was very sweet. Can't wait to go back to this awesome place! Can't wait to get my new glasses! Thanks! read more

Went to this place because it was on my insurance list and they were located at the University both me and my son graduated from. To begin with, I had to wait two weeks to get a Saturday appointment, which was fine. I was willing to do this since, most place get you glasses back within a week. Appointment went well enough. I waited for about 30 minutes to be seen. Eye Dr. seemed knowledgeable enough. I brought my old prescription along with the glasses I ware, so that there was no confusion in getting my glasses in a timely matter. They display a descent selection of glasses, but I was only given five frames to choose from. I'm not particular. I needed these glasses to work, so I was ok with that even though I asked if they had a large selection of frames to choose from, using my insurance, before I booked the appointment. They said they did. Before I decided to have them make the glasses I asked the most important question to me. "How long will it take to get the glasses."I was told 7 to 10 days. A little longer than I wanted, but I went ahead and gave the Ok. 10 days later I call them and the girl says it's going to take longer, and because of this they were going to upgrade the lens material at no cost. At this point I felt like they were just making excuses or buying time. I needed my glasses on time. An upgraded "anything" was irrelevant to me. 17 days later I got a call that the glasses were ready. They saw me right away, since they were going to close down for lunch. If I wouldn't of called in advance I would have gone there and waisted my time. Well, after all this the prescription was wrong. I tried my glasses, then theirs, a few times really wanting these glasses to work. I just couldn't see as clearly as I could with my old glasses. I would have been ok with a slight difference, but the difference was too great. The girl that helped me seemed uninterested in helping correct my concern. Her response to me, in correcting what seemed to be their incompetence, was that I call my insurance company and complain to them and cancel. Her exact words were " I'm not going to deal with this today" I'm an alumnus of the University they rent from, and I work for a company with over 300,000 employees. Both groups value each other's option. Stay away from this place if you value your time. read more

The optometrist it great and so is Daisy, unfortunately I had experienced two delays in my contact lens order that was failed to be placed when promised, second happened when I referred my co worker to get lenses. He was told his insurance was not approved and all of a sudden that say he can pick them up. Mind you this was 3 weeks waiting for them we always had to call them and they never called back when they said they would. Unless it was Daisy she was consistent on calling me back. I originally went due to being so close to work after this I rather drive further to get more personalized and consistent service. read more

Had a metal fragment in my eye, saw me quickly even though he was booked for the day. Everyone there is great, super friendly, professional, knowledgeable. Highly recommend. read more

Expensive. Was a rip-off. Same frame sold at 70% of the what I was charged with else where. TH optometrist was fine, but the person who actually makes the glasses was not responsible. My glasses do not fit me, loose. Had to use rubber bands to reinforce support. read more

WARNING...WARNING....DO NOT BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE: they are sweet initially and then show their real face after you place the order. You will never get your order on time. Never take their words. They will hang your phone calls and behave very rude. THEY ARE NOT WORTH RATING. read more

First time here with my 6 year old and it was a great and pleasant experience!! The DR is great and makes kids feel very comfortable, and he makes the visit fun for them. I'm happy that I finally found an optometrist for my whole family. The staff is also very nice and welcoming. read more

I avoid going to the optometrist mainly because of the air they blow into your eye to check pressure. But I wanted contacts. It's been 2 years since I got my eyes checked so I decided to give this place a try. Dr. Tran was so nice and caring. He didn't rush the appointment and most importantly he didn't blow air into my eye :). This was my first time getting contacts and he was not impatient with me trying to put them in. His staff is really helpful as well. Love this place! read more

My husband and I were looking for an optometrist close to UCR so I went to yelp for reviews. The proximity to UCR and the stellar reviews of Eye-C-You resulted in a visit to Dr. Tran. He lives up to all the wonderful reviews on here. He spends a great deal of time explaining his procedures to make sure his patient is comfortable and receives an accurate eye exam. He and his staff are incredibly friendly and not pushy at all. This place is wonderful. read more

This is a great optometry office. I've been with Dr. Tran for a quite a few years. He is an excellent doctor who takes the time with his patient evaluating the best possible outcome for them. I moved residences a few time, but taking the extra time to drive far away to be treated with Dr. Tran is worth the time and assurance that I will be in the hands of a knowledgeable, experienced and caring doctor. Dr. Tran has a great staff and James was very accommodating to needs or scheduling emergencies that that I had in the past. I love this place! read more

I went in to eye c you today with no expectations since I was just looking at the appointment as any other Dr appointment. I won't make that mistake again! I was promptly greeted my a sweet young lady who took my information, had me fill out paperwork and showed me some frames. Then i was helped by im assuming the office manager who explained my benefits as i added a supplemental insurance since my last exam. I live on federal disability and had no idea i had a frame allowance and I was told i could walk out paying nothing. I went in for my exam and the Dr was just as nice....joking and making small talk which was awesome. When i was done the manager actually walked around with me and helped me pick frames which was awesome because my boyfriend isn't much help. Anyhow i walked out paying zero out of pocket and knowing i will never go anywhere else for my vision needs. Thank you eye c you optometry! read more

I went In today for my kids appts. It was their 1st time being seen and the dr and staff were great. Kate at the front desk was very helpful and professional and got my boys in within 5 minutes. After 10+ years, NEVER AGAIN! 10 weeks ago I went in saying I was having trouble with my readers. Dr Tran's new partner examined me and I ordered two new pairs of bifocals and a pair of $20 readers. 4 weeks later they finally arrived (I was told 7 days), but I literally couldn't see. I was told that I needed to adjust to bifocals. A week later I returned and was re-examined. Apparently my reading prescription was never done, only "estimated" based on my far prescription (a new protocol?!). I never asked for a distance prescription! It was way off as was my astigmatism in both eyes. Tran apologized profusely and said they would reorder my lenses ASAP. WELL, another two plus weeks and they come in, but guess what? The bifocal line is set too low "so I can drive!" I never asked for driving glasses, but glasses to use at work (reading and computer), so again they reorder! Another THREE weeks and "they" are in, only NOT because she only reordered one pair of lenses! Now she promised me by Thursday of last week but they send my calls to voicemail and won't return messages. $600 and nearly three months later and I'm still not given what I prepaid for! In the world of 24 hour lenses this is inexcusable. Am I at all to blame? Well I did switch frames once, and that created a seven day wait, but they didn't have the lenses yet either, so not really! In short, if you want to spend loads of money and still not get your product or be treated like your business matters, go here. Otherwise, try anywhere else...I know I will. read more

I have been to several optometrists and Dr. Tran is by far the best, my wife and I both saw him and were very impressed, he answered all of my questions and even some in more depth than I ever had any Dr answer my questions. I also read a review that was very low by Connie L who put in a review for her sister and does not even live anywhere near here and I have this to say, from the description of her sisters symptoms and the outcome after reading up on the genetic predisposition and dry SoCal air I have this to say, genetic predispositions are nothing that a Dr could do a test on without doing a DNA test, from everything else I saw I want to tell your sister to stop doing drugs or there will be further medical problems in her future, and Connie might want to stop doing them herself. read more

The people there are nice. Also, Doctor Tran is an awesome doctor. He is very informative! I recommend that you go to him and get your eyes checked out. read more

Dr Tran knows his stuff. He was able to help me with my contact lenses needs. I highly recommend this place.

Honestly if there was a way to give no stars I would. This business had me sit with my 4 children for 1.5hr with no explanation as to why my appointments were pushed back over an hour and I was there 30min early. This is my first time ever being there and I can say it was an utter waste of my time. They explained after I mentioned I was still waiting, that they are a medical emergency facility and that was the extent of the explanation. No sorry's, no apologies, not anything other than have a good day when I said I was leaving. Instead of them telling me I would have to wait they decided it was a better idea to not communicate this with me when I first walked in and then act as if my business doesn't matter. Well I really hope your ok with losing a family of 9 and I'm sure I will not be the only ones. It was like they didnt understand that I had things to do and i couldn't wait all day to see an eye dr. Time is money and my time and money is precious. Shame on them!! Never going there again and will let everyone I know not to even try them. read more

I used to go to Dr. Tran when he was working out of Wal-Mart, and when I moved back down to the I.E. I went on the hunt to try and find his office. I found one of their coupons in the Redlands Reader so I went in and got my eyes re-examined. James was very nice and did not try to push me to make some big dollar purchase on frames and he helped me pick out the perfect pair. Dr. Tran is very personal and he is concerned more with the patient and their eye health than making big bucks. This kind of thinking and way of running this business is what is going to make it very successful. They even helped me with testing out different contacts that would work best with my eyes. I am very pleased and I will be going here for life! Anyone who goes to places like Costco or Wal-Mart or the other big chains needs to give this place a try...you wont be disappointed. read more

I'm so happy to choose Eye C You that day, when i had to see an optometrist for my son. The minute i walked in, i felt the good vibe right away from the staff. They were very friendly, caring and concerning. Dr. Tran was wonderful, very professional, so patient with my 3 year old son. Dr. Tran is the best optometrist in my area, i will definitely recommend to everyone. read more

This business is amazing! I went here because early in the day I went to urgent care for my eye. My eyes had a reaction and it was really bad. Urgent care just told me it was my allergies and gave me allergy medicine but I knew it was more than that. After looking up places close to me I found Eye C you was right next to me. I called and made an appointment right away. When you walk in, their place is clean and is the perfect temperature. The staff is beyond amazing. They were so welcoming and kind. They were quick and did a wonderful job spending time on my eyes to figure out what really was wrong. It hasn't even been a full 24 hours and my eyes are already looking better from the reaction I had. I thank this company for being understanding and friendly to me as a customer. I recommend this place to anyone having eye/vision problems. read more

Yes, Dr. Tran is very friendly and his staff is really nice and cordial on arrival. Unfortunately that's all they have going for them. My contact lenses took 3 weeks to come in when Dr. Tran told me they would arrive within 2 to 3 days. I had to call in and check for my contact lens arrival since no one bothered to call or even notify me of the delay. No follow up appointment was scheduled and my contacts were handed to me in bubble wrap mail packaging. After getting my prescription adjusted AGAIN I get no follow-up phone call. I had to call in again and ask if my contacts have arrived and the receptionist put me on hold clicks back on the line and tells me "FedEx Just dropped them off" and that "their ready for pick-up." Yeah right! I picked up my new lenses and took them home only to find out I was missing my Left lens. That drove me nuts! I later ordered a left lens and received the wrong one. Hear I go back on my personal time because someone behind the counter dropped the ball. This place is unorganized and most of the staff really needs to focus more on customer service and less on what their having for lunch. read more

The doctors are nice but the rest of the staff is very unprofessional. This place is also better for contact lens prescriptions over eye glass prescriptions. I went in for new glasses and had to go back about 5 times for them to correct my prescription (which is still not great)...such an inconvenience! read more

The doctors are professional, but one of the staffs is very rude! If not because of the doctor, I would give 1 star. I got a pair of new glasses from somewhere else and wanted to figure out why I felt dizzy with it. So I did an eye exam there and also had them measured the numbers of the new glasses. The doctor did a great job for the eye exam. After I went home, I found I forgot to write down the numbers for my glasses. So I called them, but the staff wouldn't tell me that over the phone (perhaps due to privacy issue), so I had to go back to the store. The staff became quite impatient and gave me the numbers. But I found the numbers are very similar to the prescription I just got from them, so I asked why the new glasses didn't work well. The staff said she was not responsible for that, and would not explain any further. I asked if I could talk to the doctor, she showed a lot of unwillingness. And said something satirical on my buying glasses from somewhere else. The doctor finally answered my questions. I felt the staff was really unprofessional in doing her jobs. read more

A couple of years ago the VA sent me to this Optometry for my glasses, this has been probably the best experience that I have ever had. I was treated with the utmost respect and they actually listened to me. Today was my wife's turn, she had been dissatisfied with who she had had in the past and wanted to try Eye-C-You, She had the same doctor that worked on my Dr. Penn Trann, outstanding young man, really knows his business. My wife is diabetic, he listened to her made many suggestions and spent close to a half hour on the exam making sure that every need was meet. Not only is this doctor on top of things but his staff are equally up to speed, the young lady that worked with us on the type of glasses, her name was Katlyn, first rate professional, answered all the questions and helped my wife pick out the glasses that worked best with her face. We have high regards for the staff and the doctor that we will be sure to tell our friends about this place. So if your looking for a first rate optometry with a caring staff this is the one. A plus was the price, our last glasses we got for my wife we got thru Costco and the ones today were less in overall cost and are better built. So yes we were pleased and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. read more

I almost missed the opportunity to experience the great service at Dr. Tran's office because I thought the name sounded a little goofy! I am so very glad that I did not let that influence my choice! When I spoke to James on the phone to make my appointment he was very gracious and helpful. I was not disappointed when I met him in person. He couldn't have been more charming and helpful. Dr. Tran gave me the most comprehensive exam I have ever had - and I have been wearing glasses for over 50 years! He was patient and a joy to work with. He gave me very helpful information regarding my eye health and offered to work with me to find contacts I could wear for more than 4 hours. It was so refreshing to see a person really enjoy his work. Afterward James spent at least an hour, possibly more, helping me to find just the right frames for me. At no time did I feel the pressure of the sales pitch. It just was not there. I will continue to trust them both with my eye care as long as I am in California. read more
