Very disappointing experience with the UPS Store in Weston. I had two small packages delivered…read morethere and, when I went to pick them up a few days later, I was told I owed about $100 in storage fees based on a $10-per-package-per-day charge starting the day each package arrived. I had never been told about this fee, and the employee acknowledged that it is not something they advertise. The storage charge was roughly three times the value of the packages themselves, so I left without them rather than pay it. It felt as though I was being forced to pay a substantial undisclosed fee simply to retrieve my own packages. I spoke with the manager, but he would not reconsider the charges and seemed irritated that I was questioning the policy. The company that shipped the packages was shocked by what happened, said it would investigate and file a complaint, and is sending replacement packages directly to my home. I would be very cautious about doing business with this location unless you first make sure you understand what fees they may charge, including any hidden charges that are not clearly disclosed in advance.

Here's the thing about old documents, like maybe some of you out there, I still had a lot left going back some 16 to 17 years. Now like a lot of people out there I have a shredder. Let's be honest though, how many of us (10 pages at a time) will actually shred such a big amount in a relatively short time? Raise your hand. (Pause). Yeah me neither. This is where neighborhood parcel comes into the picture. They are quick and efficient. If you take the drive up there my advice is to look for parking space 999( no not even making this up) as that is right in front of the building. They remembered me from a few years ago (hey I had a ton of old papers then). They are friendly as well and weigh each loose bag by the pound. Ironically I filled out and had them mail out the notarized certificate of document destruction. They will also email it to you only if you prefer. I can't tell you how much time they saved me (as I am getting to that stage in life of weighing time vs. money vs. the fact I won't do it all myself in this case). The relief of knowing that these old documents I was never going to look at again were all gone is priceless. If you've got a whole lot of documents you have been "meaning to get to" bring them here.

The few times I've been there, it's been great and there was little to no line. This location seems overlooked for the busier Main Street one and that's just fine by me. Writing a review of a post office has to be a lowpoint in my Yelp career. But it has to be done so…read morethat other Yelpers avoid this horrific location. Allow me the opportunity to explain. This post office opens at 9AM on weekdays. I arrive at 8:59AM on a Wednesday morning and see 4 other customers standing out in the rain waiting for the location to open. I hop out of my car, assuming that we will all be headed inside shortly. At 9:03AM, the post office remains closed and we all look inside the front window to see what the hold up is. After all, it is raining, and we would all like to be doing something other than standing in the rain. There is a USPS employee standing inside. She makes eye contact with the group standing at the window, and waves us away. Yep... she made a hand gesture to tell us to screw off. At that point, the other customers leave. I am the only moron who remains. At 9:07AM, the USPS employee unlocks the door. I walk in and this conversation ensues: Me: What was that? USPS employee: The computer wasn't working, what do you want me to do? Me: Uhh... open the door at 9AM so that customers aren't waiting in the rain at least. USPS employee: I'll do whatever I want. I'm the manager here. I'd love to have a job where I can show up whenever I want... anyone know if USPS is hiring?

I did not have a great experience with this company. This was my eleventh move in the span of about…read moretwenty years. I decided to shake things up and try a new moving company. Amanat was quick to respond, I spent about 20 minutes on the phone giving a detailed inventory, got the quote and paid the deposit. The estimate for my two bed two bath with packing and unpacking was 8 hours. The three person crew arrived on time. I walked them through the apartment and they got started. Unfortunately we were five hours in and they had still not finished packing. By the time they were finally unloading the truck, we were on the tenth hour. My husband was putting beds back together and we told them to forget about unpacking, as that would have taken them another two days. The crew was very young and inexperienced. I often found them checking their phones rather than focusing on the job. And as I've been unpacking I've been more and more frustrated with how they packed. Furniture was damaged, items boxed in totally random order (I.e., kitchen items and clothes in the same box), and nothing labeled. I don't know how they were planning to be able to unpack as planned. Some items were wrapped up so securely that didn't need it while other more valuable items were tossed in a box without any protection at all. And the amount of tape used was obscene. I've spent hours and hours cutting through it all. It was completely unnecessary to use that much. And they applied tape directly on items that are now ruined, like decorative storage boxes, high end sneaker boxes and expensive dresses. This was by far the worst moving experience I've had.

They moved my one-bedroom apartment and living room set from Chestnut Hill to Hingham for $480, and I was very satisfied with the service. Unfortunately, my second experience was completely different. It was the exact same setup one bedroom and one living room set this time going from Hingham to Burlington. They originally quoted me $450-$500, but I was charged $1,100. I reached out because the timeframe listed was incorrect (they arrived late, but marked a different arrival time), and the upcharges were never discussed or justified. I've contacted them multiple times and haven't heard anything back. It's disappointing to see such inconsistency. Be cautious when hiring them what you're quoted may not reflect what you're actually charged.
