I told the…read morewoman at the register that I needed to send a package to a friend, and I provided her with a hand written address that she repeatedly insisted wasn't accurate. After going back and forth for a while, I paid, said thanks I appreciate you. Then she literally pushed the QR code my way and said "if you really appreciate me, give me a five star review on Google and use my name, Daisy." It was brazen - and after she had disputed the address multiple times no less. Half an hour later, after I independently confirmed that the address I had initially provided was correct, I returned to get the package corrected. It turns out Daisy had mistyped the accurate information and thusly wasn't getting the address to come up. User error on her end despite having the written address in front of her. We went back and forth again for a while until she corrected her typo and verified the address. I showed her the home on Redfin and showed her the address again. That's when she FINALLY realized she had typed it wrong, but she just shrugged it off. She gave me a new tracking number, said the cost would be the same, and then asked me if I gave her a five star review yet... No apology for arguing with me. No apology for mistyping things multiple times despite having a written address directly in front of her. Just back to a review. I said I hadn't yet, so she picked up the placard with the QR code and slapped it on the desk and told me to "go ahead and do it now and to use her name -- Daisy." After such blatant disregard and outright insistence on a five star review despite her own errors, I am inclined never to return to this location. I will literally go one town over to avoid such pushing again. :( And I almost never have negative things to say. I feel horrible writing this, but she insisted on a review twice -- so here it is: Daisy gave me the worst service I've ever received from a UPS store.

====== Update#2:…read more Still the same exceptional service that it's been since my first 5-Star review over a year ago but when they go so far above and beyond exceptional it warrants mention: Over the course of 2weeks I had no fewer than 30 huge heavy boxes mailed up to them after a work project in NC as well as big Amazon orders like bed frames and mattresses for a new Boston apt, and everyone there was so patient and stellar, and Rick and Justin were especially generous with their time and effort helping me carry and dolly boxes to my car and work with me to fit things in over many trips. Always accommodating and kind, and that makes a difference to me. It's a big reason why I eventually decided to also rent a mailbox from this location about 3 months ago. That too has been a great experience. They have a very reliable, expedient and convenient system especially compared to my last rental service. I'm notified via email right when packages arrive, they've never rushed me to pick them up even when I'm traveling for long stints. For packages that are due that day but haven't yet arrived, they give a special key so customers can enter via 24-hr access password and then unlock a separate oversized box to get the delivery even way after hours. I sold an item on eBay and bought the shipping label via eBay itself. When I came to this store I explained that I needed help packaging the item and making sure it got their safe and undamaged. The staff handed me a bubble mailer. I specifically asked if it would be possible to instead provide a box with cushioning. I explained that this was an item I was selling and I needed assurance that the item would arrive undamaged in any way. The staff assured me "it won't get damaged." I voiced my skepticism however the staff seemed insistent that there would be no damage to the item. Sure enough, the item is being returned to me with photos of damage. I am now unable to sell this item now due to irreversible damage. Once again: the staff was very kind and personable: I'm only upset by the fact that they were so insistent/resistant to just provide a box. It has left me with the impression that instead of taking the extra steps to help provide what I was looking for, they just wanted to get the transaction over with asap and get on with their day. The experience has unfortunately put me off on this location and staff. I appreciate the "service with a smile" I truly do: but the professionalism unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired.

I came to this UPS store to return something from Amazon. The Amazon app let me pick specific…read morelocations to return my merchandise. It specifically says no box or label needed. Just bring it and let them scan the QR code and you're set. I went to this UPS store location in Watertown this morning and it was not a good experience at all. I should've known, as it has never been a good experience in the past. The older lady there that helped me was surprised that I showed up with just the product (which was in the box - just not an amazon box). She had to check with her manager (older gentleman)...who came over with a tape measure and was like "we can only ship items less than 16". The box was about 17" and he made it seem like he was doing me a favor by accepting it. The lady proceeded to scan my QR code and was like "I'll have to mail it like this (without putting it in another box) and I hope you get your refund from Amazon. We are not responsible. This can get lost or stolen". I asked if she could at least tape the opening to make the package more secure, since she wasn't willing to put it in another box...she said no and reiterated several more times "I hope you get your refund etc". Whatever. Returning something shouldn't be this hard, especially when Amazon pointed me here with those specific instructions. There is clearly a disconnect. This UPS store is not about helping customers. Everything felt like they were doing me a favor, ugh! I would not go here again. I'd gladly put the item back in a box and go to USPS or something instead. I wouldn't have gone here in the first place had the app offered the Wholefoods return option - always a good experience there!
