On Saturday a week before Christmas, I came to the Waltham UPS Store to have something laminated. While i was waiting for the machine to warm-up, i watched the staff dealing with an onslaught of folks mailing packages. I was really impressed with the cheerfulness and efficiency i saw. When my job was completed and i asked the price, the manager said, "You're Good." I was stunned as i had heard him say this to other customers also, but i didn't understand he meant it was a gift. These were small amounts, but i left feeling a glow in my heart and wonderful appreciation for his kindness. Bless you, UPS Store staff. read more

Tried to find a place to shred a few boxes of documents. UPS appeared the best given the 80c/lb adverts all over google, only to find out in the store that 'this store doesn't accept that coupon' (despite it showing up under the coupon on the website) and in fact shredding is $2/lb. If they had been upfront about it, fine, but bait and switch behavior really annoys me. UPS has lost a customer to Staples today - at least their stated price is honest. read more

This is my go-to store for Amazon returns. Even when there are long lines, they make sure to move people quickly though. A special shout out to Anthony - he always helps me pack up my packages (taping, finding a used box if my return requires a box, ect). Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. The manager was the one who helped me and it is clear that he does not know his own job. I had paid for overnight shipping $150 and it took my package over five days to be received by the recipient. Rightfully so I requested a refund Because I paid for a service that I did not receive. They have not given me the refund and now we're sending me through corporate a two week process Where I still could be denied. UPS is a failing mail service. Absolutely abhorrent customer service here. I ran in to drop off a few packages and the man at the desk told me after I'd been waiting in line for ~15 minutes that he wouldn't take any more customers because the guy in front of me had too much to take care of. I get what it's like working customer service. I've managed customer service teams for a decade and done plenty of customer service and retail long before that, but this guy was just plain rude, and beyond that, handled this situation so poorly that I won't likely return to this location again. Not only did he say he wouldn't help me (or another man in line behind me), but when I appeared disappointed, he went on to say "well, maybe don't come in right at 7 and expect to be helped". I was in line 20 to 25 minutes BEFORE closing time precisely to avoid issues such as this. It was still well before 7:00 (closing time) when he refused to serve me. Just absolutely poor service. I would not be surprised if this UPS store becomes a superspreader of COVID-19. I went to this UPS store today to ship packages, and as I waited in line I was alarmed to see the male owner(?)/manager(?) wearing his mask on his chin leaving his mouth and nose completely exposed. He was chatting away to customers as he rubbed his nose 3 times and then handed paper and pens to customers WITHOUT sanitizing his hands or keeping social distance. GROSS! I would stay away from this place. Came in here today during the COVID mask requirement. Everyone in the store was wearing a mask except the woman behind the counter. She was talking with another customer about how the mask requirement is equal to "Hitler requiring the Jews to wear the Star of David in Nazi Germani." It's not an ad of the USPS, but I wanted to ship a package to China with UPS and they gave me 4 times more final price for the shipment than the USPS. The same conditions, the same approximate date of delivery, but why to pay more (4x more). So, recommend to use the USPS international shipment service. But, want to emphasize that the guy who helped me to count and explained me shipment conditions was amazing. He knew everything, no doubts he was a great professional. read more

I have now had four horribly unprofessional, unacceptable experiences at this UPS store. Every time I've had email confirmation from UPS and the UPS app tracking stating the package was indeed at the store for at least 1 day, and every time I was immediately told the package was not here. The employees did not even check before saying they didn't have my packages. I showed the email from UPS and was met with a hand wave of "we have not seen it so it must not be here". We were last met with a male who was unprofessional in every way. First, he was wearing his mask on his chin, which is very unsafe. When I asked to pick up my package, he very confidently told me he it wasn't there, that he would know if it was. Then when I insisted, he asked what was in the package. When I told him, he made fun of me, saying "oh you like that stuff do you?". Then, in the middle of our interaction, he very rudely answered a personal phone call. When I pushed further, refusing to leave without the package, he finally went to check the back and found it within seconds. He didn't apologize but rather "joked" that he "just wanted her address" referring to my girlfriend. This employee was all around rude, unprofessional, unsafe, and offensive. I haven't come across a good ups store since I left my old one in Beverly Hills Calif. I'm very pleased to say this location is better then the one I so missed! I was shipping two very large fragile boxes, was pulling both on their own dollies on a very icy ground. I was surprised by the young man working in the ups store who came to the door and freed me with my load. Had not seen such a service since the California store. Then the lady who was behind the counter came over and asked if I had shipped with them before, I said not in their location but always use ups stores. I asked if she can access my address book from other ups stores? Sure enough she found me in a snap! What I look for in ups stores is the personal touch, you don't get that in the post office. I like the confirmation of shipping email I get along with the tracking number from ups stores. I asked if they provided this service, sure enough I had gotten it before I had made it back to my car. The one thing that really annoys me in some of the ups stores is when they give me a run of all the other services they offer with out me asking. In this location none of their other services was mentioned, instead when I was done the lady helping me introduced herself as the owner. She said to contact her if there is any problem. This is also a big plus in a business, to make the connection with customers. My packages did make it to it's destination earlier then the estimated time. All had arrived in a great condition. I needed to have a school form notarized and the nearest notary that came up was the ups store. Parking was on the street and free and easy. I walked in expecting a wait but they were empty and a lady who I assume was the owner came right up to me. I said I need my form notarized and she took care of it immediately. I was in and out of the store within 10 minutes. The notary cost $10 which was a nice surprise considering we pay $20 in California. The lady was extremely pleasant and helpful. I had to pick up another form to get sent via overnight mail in Westford and she printed out the Westford stores address and times for me. Excellent customer service. read more

Really UPS Store? What a miserable experience. I would not recommend using this place to have documents notarized. I came in at opening and the person behind the counter was not only antagonizing, but refused to affix her seal on an identity verification associated with an I9, not the document itself. She claimed that she could be "taken to court" because the form was associated with it. I get the feeling she got confused, but rather than go back on what she said she offered to notarize a photocopy of the document itself. I now have a useless $10 piece of paper, and got that document notarized hassle-free at the bank the next day. I will take my business to the UPS stores in Belmont or Lexington before I even consider going back here. read more

Hilarious. I ran the show here when I went to have a work project laminated and bound. The report was a odd size, odd being not 8"x11" 3 hole bunch kind of deal. The Fex Ex owner lady said she would allow me to do the hole punching honors just in case she made a mistake. She ended up making one anyway, but I was prepared, I always bring extra copies. Eventually, I practically jumped right behind the counter and did the cutting and punching myself. Even so, everyone was friendly and helpful... and I got a good laugh about it. read more

I do a lot of shopping on Amazon and had to return purchases a couple of times. This UPS store is conveniently located five min from where I live. I've always dealt with Patty when I've gone there and she is incredibly polite and kind. She's quick to offer help and answer any questions. In fact, I just got off the phone with her because I was concerned a package had not been mailed out and she thoroughly explained the situation. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a zero so I had to settle for a 1 star for this place! For the longest time, this place used to be one of the best UPS stores I had been to when it was run by the previous owner by the name of pattie. Now with this recent new management, there is this female asst manager of some sort. She is simply a joke! She has a lot of nasty attitude and no class period! At some point, I even wondered if that was her first job to be in charge of anything outside her house based on her cheap attitude when answering a simple basic question. Boy! she's got some major issues! Pattie operated this place for over 15 yrs with professionalism when dealing with the customers. With this new management, in their first 2 months, my pkg arrived and they had it for over a month but every week they kept lying to my face that it hadn't arrived when I had a confirmation from the sender that it had been delivered. After about a month they finally found it wherever they had misplaced it in the back store and they gave it to me with a clear store tag on it showing they had received it weeks ago. I was like wow! The funny part of it is that they didn't seem to be bothered by this level of incompetence and half-baked service! Before this experience, It had been a while since I last experienced business incompetence at this level. The sender had to give me a refund because the pkg was way overdue. That was even before they managed to find the lost pkg. This management is simply pathetic esp when it comes to this female, whatever her position is at this place! I went to this UPS store to send back an item to Amazon. I brought in my own open box and shipping label because other UPS stores have told me to leave the box open for inspection. The guy in this store said at least 3 times that he shouldn't be taping the box or putting on the label because everything was supposed to be done. Given that it took less than 30 seconds to tape the box closed and put the label on, it was a lot of complaining about minor customer service. This is unfortunately my first one-star rating on yelp. As with Andrew D, I have had a similar experience at this UPS store. There is a guy there who is just a complete cranky old ass hole and out of the ten or so times I have been there he has probably ruined six or so of the experiences with crude and unnecessary comments. Up until now I have just let it slide off my back, but this time I had had an extremely bad day (going through a house purchase) and I was there to just send my P&S and he made an obnoxious comment about how it was packed. Some of the employees are very friendly, and if you work with one of them, it's fine. But this guy has made me decide to never go back here anymore. It literally takes a millisecond for him to think of something crappy to say to you. If I need to ship a small package I'll just put it in a drop box. If I need to ship a large package, I will drive to another UPS store. Very unprofessional service with such a well-respected name on it. read more

Everyone who works at this store is extremely friendly and always quite helpful! I've been here multiple times and had a pleasant experience every time. They always help find the cheapest and fastest ways to ship things, and can easily tell when a package will arrive at its destination. One time I accidentally picked up an alcohol box to use to ship some books, which is apparently not allowed, and the woman at the store printed out blank labels to cover the alcohol names on the outside of the box so that I could still use it.
