Great clean affordable storage…read more The woman there is so pleasant and helpful. She let us go in and check out some of the units. They are clean and dry. We got the first month free and then put the monthly charge on our credit card. The price for this was the best compared to others we called about. We got a code for the gate and could come and go fairly easy. They do lock it for the night for security reasons. This location is right next to North End Treats and the pool store. There is another location closer to the mall but we didn't go there to compare since we were so pleased at this place. I would highly recommend this spot. We also go a POD which was great since it came to the house and was taken away. However, you can't go in and out to get things like you can with the storage unit. Both have pros and cons.

Beacon St in Brighton) only had one. I didn't even know this was an option until I clicked on "locate nearby" and Watertown Self Storage popped up. Not only did they have what I needed (and picked up 30 minutes later) but to avoid the craziness at the N. Beacon St location is a relief. Watertown Self Storage is clean, organized and new; U-Haul is old, dirty and a hot mess. The 9 foot cargo van is also available for pick up here (and can be picked up during off hours!!!) and I have a tentative reservation for that later this month as well. We had a scheduled assessment and they didn't show. Called up and they sent someone. On the day of the move the guys had no idea that there was an additional room that needed to be moved. They left without saying anything. We were trying to finish cleaning the house. We noticed they were gone and didn't take our bikes. my husband had to stop them before they left to tell them about the additional pieces to move. Then they left. We went to our new place and the arrived 15 minutes after we did. Once they finished moving in what they took they told us it would be 500 more. When they were doing the initial room they said they weren't going to charge us more than the original quote. ( We will stick to your budget - they said) We are no longer recommend them.

I had an extremely frightening experience with a Gallo Moving truck this morning on Route 138 in…read moreCanton. I was driving in the right-hand lane, preparing to get onto the I-95 ramp, when a Gallo Moving truck came off the highway and began moving directly into my lane while my vehicle was already there. Instead of slowing down or yielding, the driver continued coming over and literally forced me out of my lane. The truck came within about ONE INCH of my passenger-side mirror. I had nowhere to go and ended up stuck between the two lanes, basically creating a third lane. Cars traveling in the left lane actually had to stop because I was being pushed into their lane. This could have caused a very serious accident. There were three men in the Gallo truck, and I could not see a license plate on the vehicle. What is most upsetting is that this was not simply someone making a minor driving mistake. The driver continued to move into my lane even though my vehicle was right beside the truck. When you are driving a large commercial moving truck with your company's name on it, you have a responsibility to operate that vehicle safely. I am sharing this because people should be aware of my experience. The reckless driving I witnessed this morning put me and several other motorists in a very dangerous situation. Thankfully, the drivers around me reacted quickly enough to avoid an accident. I hope Gallo Moving takes this seriously, identifies the driver and truck involved, and addresses this before someone gets seriously hurt.

Mike from Big Foot came right out and was really helpful on assessing how much stuff we had and how many containers we would need. He followed up quickly and his pricing was reasonable. Before the moving day, his office called to confirm the date. The day of the move, the crew called when they were on their way and gave an accurate time of when they would be there. The crew was also outstanding. Very professional and careful with our items. They took care when moving the larger items thru doorways and halls to not damage anything. They did an excellent job packing the containers and fit more items into the first container that I expected but did so in a safe way. I highly recommend Big Foot Moving to anyone looking for a careful mover with good people and reasonable pricing!!
