What a HUGE relief that they sell U-Haul moving/storage items! All I needed was a mattress bag and…read morethe plastic cover for a sofa, but the U-Haul location nearby (N. Beacon St in Brighton) only had one. I didn't even know this was an option until I clicked on "locate nearby" and Watertown Self Storage popped up. Not only did they have what I needed (and picked up 30 minutes later) but to avoid the craziness at the N. Beacon St location is a relief. Watertown Self Storage is clean, organized and new; U-Haul is old, dirty and a hot mess. The 9 foot cargo van is also available for pick up here (and can be picked up during off hours!!!) and I have a tentative reservation for that later this month as well. Great find, right behind Target and parking right out front

Keep your receipt! Tried to return or exchange 1 unused wardrobe box (still sealed in packaging)…read morewith a different type of box. Girl working there was annoyed like I was asking for something out of the ordinary. I was hoping they had the ability to take back items of you bought them there with your credit card. Home Depot does, is only a few blocks away, and their moving supplies are a lot cheaper. Not sure why I bought boxes here in the first place.

Our movers were amazing! We moved from Philly to DC in 2 days and we literally couldn't have done…read moreit without them. They packed up everything for us and it all arrived in perfect condition. They were kind, professional, efficient, and punctual! My only word of advice would be to the front office, they didn't seem to provide enough communication to the movers and they were short on packing supplies and just how much they had to pack (to be fair they still did an amazing job which is why I'm still giving 5 stars). I would've preferred a phone call as opposed to filling out the app so there wouldn't be as much miscommunication between the movers and the job they had to do. Also, while it wasn't an issue, I got an email about 18 hours before our move asking if they could reschedule it for 2 hours earlier. I would've preferred to be informed much sooner and not just through email but it worked out just fine. Overall I would absolutely hire them again and you should too! (Just be extra communicative about what you need).

I have moved many times and I have had worst experience ever with this moving company and storage…read more Stay away at any cost. I hired another company, and this company showed up instead. They did not honor their contract and kept charging extra fees. They moved my belongings to another facility without informing me or my consent. They kept adding fraudulent charged to my account. I had to hire another company to move my belongings to. A total nightmare.

The moving crew was great, but the people giving the quotes are not the movers that you work with…read more They estimated it would take around 8 hours and it wound up taking the crew 15. This really should have been a two day job, the crew and we were exhausted by the end of the day. I'm not really upset about the cost difference because I knew what their hourly rate was. The crew really wanted to get it all wrapped up for us by the end of the day instead of stretching to another day because they had another job the next day bright and early. The booking office is really putting their workers through the wringer and I don't appreciate that. The crew was kind and delicate with our items. They were being gracious and offering to do whatever we wanted with regards to helping pack remaining items, disassembling and reassembling furniture, and organizing things at the new house. I may have taken note of their time for these things if it hadn't been clear by noon that this was going to already be a very long day. By 10pm I was just happy to have everything remaining that we own in the garage. So I did enjoy the crew, but if you go with this company and have a lot of stuff then you need to do some legwork yourself to get an accurate estimate. I had a three bedroom 1700 sqft house with a large basement and garage and it took 15 hours and cost $4k.

As expected, they were easy to work with, pleasant all around from the texts to the phone to the muscle! Three nice guys showed up. We weren't even done packing yet, which they took in stride, and helped us wrap, box and tape like champs. They even had to take some big items out the back way and hoist them over the 2nd floor railing! In the new place, they positioned our rugs, and our sofa and desks, even assembled our Sleep Number bed and adjusted the setting. They are VERY experienced in all things! And only one item broke, and it was too easy to break, and will be good as new with some Crazy Glue. I hope we don't have to move again anytime soon (knock wood!) but if we do, I know who to call!

Communication with the office staff was prompt leading up to the move, but once I reported the damage and submitted a claim after the move that communication fizzled out. It has now been months since I submitted my claim along with all the requested paperwork and photos, and I still haven't received a response from whatever random insurance company they use. It's extremely frustrating to pay a lot of money for a service, have expensive belongings damaged, and then be left without any resolution. I did a lot of research when choosing a moving company and felt that I could trust their current ratings. I'm so disappointed with how all of this was handled and I would recommend going with another moving company.
