This really should have been a two day job, the crew and we were exhausted by the end of the day. I'm not really upset about the cost difference because I knew what their hourly rate was. The crew really wanted to get it all wrapped up for us by the end of the day instead of stretching to another day because they had another job the next day bright and early. The booking office is really putting their workers through the wringer and I don't appreciate that. The crew was kind and delicate with our items. They were being gracious and offering to do whatever we wanted with regards to helping pack remaining items, disassembling and reassembling furniture, and organizing things at the new house. I may have taken note of their time for these things if it hadn't been clear by noon that this was going to already be a very long day. By 10pm I was just happy to have everything remaining that we own in the garage. So I did enjoy the crew, but if you go with this company and have a lot of stuff then you need to do some legwork yourself to get an accurate estimate. I had a three bedroom 1700 sqft house with a large basement and garage and it took 15 hours and cost $4k.

On December 1, I received a message that they are doubling my rent in 30 days, which is clear bate and switch, and shady business practices. They know it's challenging and expensive to move so they attract you with a lower rate and take advantage of you once you are moved in. They also require a 30-day move out notice so I have to tell them now that I'm moving out without having a moving company lined up if I want to avoid the rent hike. I now have to coordinate a move during the holidays. I strongly recommend avoiding this place. See photo below. For reference my rent was $46 before. When I called to complain, I was told that a computer decided that the rent went up!?!?

Having not ever run a paint sprayer before, I decided to rent one to redo a basement with Latex paint on the walls. Calling three or four days ahead allows you to reserve it by putting down a credit card. Seems easy right? That is until you meet the staff at this particular location. Not a lot of personality nor an ounce of customer service. No greetings, no anything. I mean its situated in Wellesley (no offense) but its a rental place for crying out loud. Regardless, the rental seems smooth (except for the $150 deposit you have to put down to rent one of these things) and then I get home to use it and the thing does not want to work with the thickness of the paint. Diluting it does not work either so it basically fails. I return it one day early only to be beaten up by I guess the owner who looked like he was either having a bad day or hates working at a Taylor Rental, because he would have never rented this to me, had he knew I was using it for a basement. The guy not only started going off on me, he started going off on the guy helping me to return this. I told him to eat the deposit for the trouble and have a nice day. It was the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen and this is one of the worst rental places in the area. Tell you what, educate your customers on your equipment prior to renting and go learn some customer service! if you ever want to rent something, stick with the location in West Roxbury. At least you won't get treated poorly by some irate manager.

Bell Air did a fantastic job with our move from Rochester, NY to the Boston area. I contacted Nick after my employer had directed me to a moving services company that gave me a quote of $39K for an average size 4BR house (and I was stunned). Nick came with four other guys and moved the entire house (including packing of the whole kitchen and basement) in a 12-hour period (which was exactly what he said he would do, despite my skepticism that this was even possible -- as other movers estimated it would take 2 days to pack and 1 day to load). They drove through the night both ways and moved me on a day in July when it was about 98 degrees. Nick also agreed to drop some items at a rental house in Newton and the rest of my stuff at a storage facility -- and suggested I contact the facility directly so that I could get the first month for free (I only needed a month). All in, this came in right on budget and almost exactly what he quoted (around $11K, including the $900 for full valuation coverage). The most amazing thing was that nothing was broken. Not one dish or glass in all of our kitchen. A few pieces of furniture were scuffed or scratched but nothing major. In pretty much every prior move I have filed some claim or another for significant damage to a handful of items and I was floored to see everything arrive in pretty pristine condition. I was really happy with this company. The one point to mention is that while they are fast, efficient and extremely hard-working, they don't necessarily have the attention to detail and project management that you might get with a major company. I knew this, and Nick also told me this -- if you want white glove packing that will take three days and the care of inventorying every single item and crossing every T, you should go with Mayflower or Allied or something similar (but you will pay heftily for it). But if you want a job done well and thoroughly at extremely reasonable rates with guys who will go out of their way to make things work for you (and I recommend you stay present to make sure they know where everything goes and understand the plan), you will be very happy with Bell Air. I would absolutely use them again! read more

Excellent experience and by far the easiest move! At the suggestion of a co-worker who knew of this local Dedham company, a year ago I booked Bell Air Movers for a very small job. After speaking with Nick (the owner) who was very patient with my many questions, I, unfortunately, had to cancel that job. Nick was very understanding of the circumstances and I didn't forget that. Recently my son decided to move from one part of Boston to another so once again I called Bell Air Movers. I confirmed our move a few days before and everything went exactly as we planned. We scheduled their arrival between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. and exactly at 8:00 a.m. they showed up. Even though there wasn't a ton of furniture to move, they treated it very professionally by wrapping and/or securing each piece. There were three men who worked quickly and quietly and before you knew it, we were on our way to the new apartment. Everything arrived in excellent condition with no damage whatsoever. The rate quoted on line is exactly what it cost. They showed up on time, as planned and there were no hidden fees. Our move was completed in under the minimum 3 hours and the fact that we didn't have to lift one piece of furniture in either apartment was worth every penny and then some! I was hesitant to use any movers due to bad experiences in the past, but I was so incredibly impressed with Bell Air Moving company that I feel compelled to write a review. Two weeks ago they moved me from Concord, MA to Dover, MA and they were the ultimate professionals. They arrived earlier than expected (which was great) and kept me in the loop the entire time on their travel / ETA. As soon as they arrived they went right to work and wrapped my belongings and loaded the truck in record time. Prior to arriving at my new location, they let me know their ETA once again. They were in contact with me the entire time. They once again got right to work and took care to unwrap, assemble and help arrange everything. They were incredibly kind, thoughtful and professional. When I cut myself they went out of their way to correctly bandage my finger. Not only did they work hard, maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity, but they also came in under the estimated quote. I credit that to their efficiency and ability to get to work and work hard. I highly recommend this company. The price couldn't be beat - all said it was $1,000 less than what Gentle Giant quoted me. Very happy I went with this company! I chose them based on their Yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. The whole process went smoothly. I filled out the quote form on their website and got a quick call back from Nick, who was very helpful. We discussed the apt. size and furniture and gave me a well price quote over the phone. I then received a confirmation by email. The company was flexible when a contractor required us to change our date. On the day of, the crew arrived on time, worked quickly, and took great care of our furniture. Wood things were wrapped in moving blankets and taped up tight. Upholstered things were wrapped in plastic. When all was done, we had no scuffs, dirt or damage. Nick and crew was friendly, flexible moved fast, and gave estimates on remaining time as they went, which was helpful. They were familiar with moves in/out of Dedham Station and knew just where to place the truck to expedite use of the elevator/stairs. Final cost was just under the estimated cost, a great surprise. We bought the team lunch to say thanks and they were on their way. I would highly recommend this well-run company and I will definitely do business with them again. You really need to use these guys. Period. In the past 3 years, we've used Bell Air 4 times. Each time has been a stress-free, easy experience thanks to Nick and his professional (and very friendly) crew. Three of them were full on moves, 2 involving moving out of houses on separate occasion (2013, 2014) and 1 involving merging those two homes into one (2015). Yes, I've been remiss in posting a review. Most recently (June, 2017), we bought 4 pieces of furniture, two of which we're very heavy to the point we thought we would drop them, moving from the truck to the front entrance. We have a difficult staircase and my biggest worry was how the heck anyone is going to get them upstairs. Of course, I called Nick. I laughed out loud when my husband told me they were at the house for a total of 35 minutes (we had them move another very heavy, awkward armoire downstairs). Through the whole process they stayed in touch via email. The day of the move I received A text message from the movers for the time exact time they were going to arrive. The two men who came, were polite, asked questions about where the furniture was going and when we got to the two different locations,placed the furniture in the right places. I have nothing but nice things to say about these two workers. All my furniture was handled with care. My move was relatively small, one piece of furniture to my home, three pieces of furniture to where my mother was living. The storage unit was only about 6 miles from my mothers residence. They take apart & reassemble furniture as needed to ensure it makes it into our new residence. The final cost equals the initial estimate. Packing services are first rate. They text to let me know before their arrival. They have moved us from 2nd story walkups, in the middle of winter with 20-degree chill, and June humidity up a ridiculous amount of stairs to our forever home (I'm not trying to be difficult for them, I swear!) My landlord sprung a new, illegal, lease addendum on us 2 weeks before we had to sign the lease renewal. I consulted Angie's List and called Bell Air 4 days before I needed to move. Nick was very easy to work with and accommodated my need to move quickly, so I wouldn't have to pay double rent. He and his crew were there in 2 days! They were very organized and efficient, carrying 2 tote bins at a time down 3 flights of stairs, like they weighed nothing. They wrapped everything carefully and it all arrived at our new home in the same condition that it left in. I can't say the same for our last movers - ourselves and our wonderful family. Their team of 3 did in 3 1/2 hours, what it took 5 of us about 18 hours and a lot of sore muscles to do the last time. You could not ask for a better team than Bell Air Moving. I am so incredibly impressed by this moving company!! We used them once to move items into storage and then later for our actual move. Friendly, professional, efficient, extraordinarily cost effective, and punctual. The owner Nikolai is very quick and responsive. There is a lot that you can do online which is very helpful ... like list your inventory so that they can estimate the cost of your move and plan for the correct size truck. When we arrived at our new home we also needed some things moved down to the basement that were on the second floor etc and they all cheerfully and quickly did anything we asked. They were super careful with all our belongings and the whole move went off without a hitch. I can't say enough good things about them. They came on time, worked hard and fast with the highest professionalism and diligence possible. People hate to move because of the havoc and headache every move creates. We recently moved on an extremely hot Saturday from a three bedroom first floor to a two bedroom on the second floor. We used two crews for the main move in addition to moving just appliances to a second location. In all seven extremely pleasant, professional men arrived exactly as promised and proceeded to efficiently dismantle, carefully wrap and load thirty years of household goods! When we arrived at our new place, their creativity really went into high gear, as they laid out our furniture in an open concept floor plan and were especially sensitive to our family's needs. They were exceptionally pleasant and courteous throughout the process that occurred exactly within the framework of estimated job completion. My first moving company just never showed and I spent 3 days calling company after company for a very short notice (like today or tomorrow), 2 stop, cross-town move. Nick (Manager) said give him 15 minutes to see what he could do at 10:30 Monday morning. At 2pm I was meeting a truck with a 2 man crew. They busted their humps (since it probably was actually a 3 man job) and moved a 3 bedroom apartment + 8x10 storage unit into a 3 floor 1 family in 6 hours. They were polite and asked where each piece went as it unloaded. They even moved a couple pieces a second time as logistics and original layouts (my own indecision) changed! The movers from Bell Air were phenomenal! They were friendly, quick, careful, and professional. It's nice not having to pay extra for use of moving blankets, tape, etc. the way some companies charge for. And being licensed and insured is important, which Bell Air is. Mostly I just had boxes and suitcases, but the movers did a great job carefully protecting two sets of tables and chairs, and an extremely heavy desk! They also put together my two tables. And while I didn't take them up on it, they said they can assemble Ikea furniture. All that happens at the regular hourly rate, but having them do the tables, which were quick, but kind of heavy, felt worthwhile for me. I'll be using them again in the future (though hopefully I can stay put for a little while now). read more

I was reluctant to hire movers but my boyfriend talked me into it and wow; it is worth every penny. They work incredibly fast. We originally planned to keep packing up loose items as they worked in other rooms but before I even blinked they had half of the apartment loaded in their truck! They handled my stuff 10x more carefully than I ever have, wrapping breakable items in blankets and tape, dissasembling anything with parts, and trasporting loose random objects like lamps in special bins in the truck. I have heard plenty of horror stories about moving companies misplacing or breaking people's belongings but I would trust Nick and his crew better than myself! read more

I've been using Bell Air Moving since 2000 and my experience with them has always been great. They just moved me again this past weekend and I could not be happier. They are very responsible, always on time and take really good care of the things they have to move for you. Your furniture big and small will be very safe with them and will end up on the right spot in the new place. As well as the rest of the stuff - again big and small, in or out of boxes. Moving is always a stress and they take it away as much as possible. The movers are very polite, friendly and helpful. Anything important for you is important for them. Nick and his team did a great job helping my family with moving to a new place. They are very professional and make moving a smooth and stress-free experience. One of the most important things for me was the fact that they can also handle piano moving with the same level of professionalism. It was a major point that sold me on Nick's team, as during the previous move I had to spend a fortune on piano tuning after it was messed up by the movers. Where do I begin!? These guys are THE BEST! So professional, so patient, and so kind! When my mom and I had 15 days to move, these guys came in handy. They immediately had us scheduled! We were downsizing and my mom has all this massive furniture and they really help us out with our move. My mom has this very fragile China hutch, and they really took the time to move it and everything was moved into the new house without a scratch! Farrukh and his partner (we didn't get his name!) took the time to explain to my mom their charges (which was very reasonable) and took the time to FaceTime me to help explain to her (I was at work). My experience with Bell Air moving was great: * Online quote system is easy to use, the quote info is quite detailed, and the price was fairly affordable for us. * Movers arrived on time. * Movers were very friendly, easy to communicate (even one of them doesn't speak english) * They are very efficient and professional. Bell Air's movers were courteous, compliant, fast working, careful, wrapped our furniture as if it were worth millions. I can't say enough about their service. What surprised me was how fast they worked even though they were paid by the hour. Very professional. Always checking with me before leaving what should go or not go. Then when we arrived at my new home, they quietly walked through the rooms placing the furniture where it seemed it should go. They asked before leaving each room if it was okay. We moved a 3 floor townhouse worth of big ticket furniture, boxes, and other odds and ends (such as an elliptical machine) near New Hampshire, to a 3 floor house in Boston. The quoting process and their inventory system process was a breeze to use, which helped them facilite the correct sized moving truck to be used. They were very accommodating with our moving period/schedule. The communication was very clear and concise, with very prompt responses via email whenever we had a question or concern. We honestly set it, and forget it until moving day arrived. The day before moving day, we received the timeframe window the movers would come. Day of the move, the truck and three movers came. They went over the cost breakdown with us again, so that there were no surprises for us (there were none!). We gave them a quick walk-through of our place and what was moving. They formulated their moving plan, and how they'd load the moving truck, and quickly packed up and moved everything into the truck. The movers wrapped up all the big ticket furniture in blankets and taped it to avoid any dents/damage. They were also very polite, and asked for permission, when they needed a quick break (3 flights of stairs is a lot of work!). Once they we done, they drove over to Boston for the unload process. Again, they were very quick and efficient. We went through a walkthrough in the Boston house, for them to formulate what would go where, and off to the races they went. Some of the big ticket items (Queen size beds w/ headboards, antique hutches, dressers), I had concerns about fitting into bending stairways... they were able to alleviate. We had a large L shaped couch, they removed (and later put back on) the legs, and were able to navigate the tight turns going up stairs to make it fit! Once they were done with the move, they went over the cost breakdown one more time before payment (again no surprises from our end with it). I would highly recommend M&M Moving. Everyone we interacted with from their end, during this moving process, was very professional, nice, courteous, and efficient.

We weren't even done packing yet, which they took in stride, and helped us wrap, box and tape like champs. They even had to take some big items out the back way and hoist them over the 2nd floor railing! In the new place, they positioned our rugs, and our sofa and desks, even assembled our Sleep Number bed and adjusted the setting. They are VERY experienced in all things! And only one item broke, and it was too easy to break, and will be good as new with some Crazy Glue. I hope we don't have to move again anytime soon (knock wood!) but if we do, I know who to call!

They didn't show up in the scheduled time, damaged items and an item went missing. They also lied or miscommunicated about how much a parking ticket cost. Secured their tip before showing me the final bill. I wanted to talk to the owner and try to hammer out a fair compromise but I guess he is unwilling? Hard to fathom. The move itself went flawlessly. Everything was very well protected before moving, and the crew expertly disassembled and reassembled some furniture that I had no idea could be taken apart. They carried a monster elliptical to the second floor without complaint, and when all was moved and reassembled, asked me if we needed anything else. I asked them to move my sectional, which had already been reassembled, about a foot from where it was, and they cheerfully picked up the entire thing and moved it over.
