My husband was driving a van to pick up and close out our unit. The gate was open, so he drove in. She chased us down in her golf cart, to inform us that we had violated the rules and should've entered our code. We apologized and proceeded to empty our the few things in our unit. When I asked the procedure for closing out the unit, she fired a bunch of questions at me, to see if I had gone through the proper steps. I told her I didn't know the procedure as we just decided to close out the unit that day. That's why I was asking what the procedure was. She made us stop what we were doing and go put in the code for the gate. Then she said to stop in the office on our way out. She never explained the procedure. She informed us that it's all in the contract and again was unbelievably rude. We signed the paperwork and couldn't get out of there fast enough!!

Probably even more critical if you work for a storage facility. Moving trucks are not easy to maneuver and especially around busy intersections. I didn't set up the rental and had never been there. I was helping a friend from out of state get his mom moved. Nobody I was with knew which side of the street the facility was on. I called the location to verify the cross streets and then asked apparently the most frightening question of all... which corner are you located .... Dead silence but she retrieved a map .... After a couple of minutes looking she said Northeast corner..... nope!!! Close though !!! Anyway hopefully the managers will read this and make sure those who answer the phones know exactly where the facility is located. The young lady was very nice.

I can say that I would never trust my things to be stored anywhere else, and I loved that the unit was always climate controlled, things were safe, the area was clean 95% of the time (yes there's room to improve), but on the whole, this spot is where you should store things if you're in need of extra room. When I showed up a few days early, there was a tiny hiccup (we'll blame Mercury), but by the end, I was a part of the Tempe Choice family. They assured me I would get it back after a few business days. I called back a week later because I hadn't received or heard anything back, the lady was so rude and started blaming me for not giving my recent address then when I tried to give it to her she said I had to mail it in... I rented here for about 3 years, paid every late charge and every extra "fee" they added when they up and switched the insurance that raised my monthly rent. Now I'm being told after calling the corporate office that they don't do prorated refunds that "sorry to say it was you to get your stuff by the 5th" which is the grace period that give you. So now I'm out about $140 that they are keeping and making even more on it renting it out to someone else they're gonna screw over!! Oh yeah and not to mention that the first time I called in about this last week, they were telling me my due date was on the 8th of every month not the 1st. If that was the case then why was I locked out and refused access after the 5th of the month when I made late payments? Doesn't make sense....
