Always check both online and in-person, the office staff might have a special going that isn't listed. It's not permanent, but it's a sweet little temporary perk. My experience started with a phone call, shout-out to Colton (or Caleb? either way, Customer Service MVP), who explained everything like I was booking a penthouse instead of a storage unit. When I showed up a few days early, there was a tiny hiccup (we'll blame Mercury), but by the end, I was a part of the Tempe Choice family. Access hours are great (6 a.m.-10 p.m.), it's secure, clean, and easy to pull up, unload, and move on with your day. So yeah... I'm happy, my stuff's happy, and if they ever add climate control, this'll be an easy five stars. Bonus points for saving me a few bucks in the process.

The employees are RUDE. I don't even bother going to the office for anything. Jim is the only person I've spoken to here who is kind and helpful. He went out of hid way to find me a good and affordable locksmith when I lost my key, and has always been lovely. Everyone else is...yikes. They don't even have carts for transporting items. I have a mild disability, and when I asked one of the staff about carts, they were extremely rude to me and said "Well, just carry your stuff then." Wtf Apparently the carts were stolen months ago but they never replaced them. Just stuck up a note. Its been three months. ‍ Parking here is a nightmare. There's never enough spots. The place used to be clean but lately I've noticed strong foul odors and COCKROACHES. I saw quite a few of them in the hallways and have since found bugs in my storage unit. I'm paying way too much to have to deal with that. I'm happy I'm moving out. This place is a mess, and a constant source of frustration. It's also super popular with ASU students so it becomes an absolute nightmare twice a year. Find a different location because this one is not it.

But this Tri-city Storage for my move across the country that I could not fit everything in my car for at last minute has been SO PLEASANT! They were amazingly nice for needing a unit last minute, then my stuff didn't fit (what a shock), so I needed another one. You'd think they would price gauge me like the other guys.. nope! Got a second one in no time, moved in late, was out late, it was THE ONE NIGHT it poured rain in Phoenix ugh! I got to utilize their complimentary moving truck WHAT A GODSEND! The employee(s) are so friendly and easy going. They have text reminders for payments. They aren't nazis about making payments if you forget. Uhaul charges hundreds of dollars plus interest if you are a Minute late. Seriously. Not here. You need to pay your bills, but they won't knock your door down if you are human. Which we all are! And being all the shit hit the fan on my 2,500 mile drive across country the last thing I needed to worry about was my stupid storage units with some of my most valuable things in them! I got rid of everything but my most valuable items so in my units are some seriously worthless but priceless to me items.. if anything happened to them I'd be devastated. While driving across country a semi dumped all its cargo right in front of me and cracked all my wheels while I had no choice but to run over it all. While this was happening did I want to hear about late storage bills or water damage or a break in?? No! Thank you tri city for being a fantastic storage facility and taking care of my stuff and having your shit together while I didn't! As a person that had another unit in Texas, I love the personal messages that confirm payment has been received and everything is well. Upon moving out we were happy to see everything in tact and loved that although we accidentally had food in the storage (opps :-( ), no bugs were in our unit. Made offload (working alone) much more difficult than a level unit (like avail on other rows). Major hassle trying to brace dolley with lifting heavy stuff down to it. Then bending down to lift dolley over 2" high lip at entrance of unit. NOT DISCLOSED. 3. You could offer discounts on that row and plenty people will go for it. I would not as I'm working alone. 4. Their were avail units on level ground. Instead of renting them first then the units with a hill (and floodwater) the mgr told me the automated system picks the units to be rented. 5. After doing their survey they had mgr contact me and offer to ket me move. HOW DOES GOING THRU THE HASSLE OF OFFLOADING ON A HILL NOW INSTEAD OF WHEN I MOVE OUT HELP? INSTEAD I'D HAVE TO RENT A TRAILER, DO AN ADDITIONAL LOAD UP AND OFFLOAD. WHY NOT OFFER ME A FREE MONTH! TRUST ME I'D RATHER PAY AND HAVE BEEN PUT IN A LEVEL UNIT WITHOUT FLOOD WATER IN FRONT. 8. Michael then called the authorities, claiming I was being disruptive. He placed a lock on my unit near the end of the month, which prevented me from accessing my belongings and caused me to be billed for the following month. When I attempted to resolve the issue, I was told the corporate manager would be the last person I could speak with, leaving me with no further way to escalate the matter. If you attempt to contact corporate or any other entity of public storages, you will be cycled into the normal phone assistance line. As a result of this situation, I have been informed that I am no longer allowed to rent from any Public Storage locations. Prior to this experience, I was a member at Public Storage for two years Also to mention when it rains heavily, the entire lot is flooded any remains flooded until it dries up which takes around 72 hours.
