He answered all of our questions and took us around to find the perfect one for us. George was very nice, professional and personable! In May, I had a family emergency come up and I was in need to rent a storage unit. I was able to process my rent of the unit all over the phone and it was super easy. Elena Andrade was the nice lady who helped me with the whole process. I was not looking forward to the whole process of renting a unit over the phone because of covid 19 but Elena made it an easy and pleasant experience. I ended up not having to move my stuff into the unit so I called Extra Space Storage to explain my situation and to see if I could get a refund. They normally don't do refunds but they went out of their way to email their higher management and I was able to get my refund which I'm very very grateful for especially during these times. I was very happy with the service they provided and if in the future I'm in need of a storage until, I will definitely be going back to Extra Space Storage. read more

If I can save someone from having their items stolen ... DO NOT GO TO THIS STORAGE LOCATION!!!! I truly believe it's an inside job ... A red flag was waived in our face but little attention did we put ... big red Flag by a latino man that works there ..As we were signing our paperwork a middle eastern man came to tell him his things had been stolen from his unit ...AND WHEN THE MAN LEFT .. he said "these ppl say their things are stolen but it's their own family! few months later our things were gone and My husband went in and guess what they told him .. Maybe your wife took them !!!! There was NO forceful entry ..so the Insurance sent a letter that read "due to no forceful entry" they wouldn't pay for anything!!! how convenient!!!! Made a police report , we tried to look at video .. oh but the cameras don't work n we tried calling and nothing!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS Place !!! read more

I felt very safe and comfortable storing my personal belongings in their property unit. They always greeted me on my way in and out of their facility. I am hooked. Elena and Jorge have been so amazing and accommodating. There has never been a time that they could not help me. Very friendly and talkative. Being a woman and being only 5ft tall I have never felt unsafe there. They patrol the premises and often check to see if I'm okay when I've been inside rearranging my storage. Always remembering my name and asking how I've been. I chose this storage because the other places had reviews of infestations, something I was very worried about. And it was a great decision. I have not seen any roaches or rats ever. My belongings are safe and clean. The whole premises is also very clean and has a public bathroom that's always upkept. A water cooler in the office if you get thirsty and a cart to use if you need help moving something heavy. I don't even have to worry about any bums lingering around that I have seen at other storage places in the area. They just make me feel so welcomed. I really appreciate the hard work they do and it just wouldn't be the same without their smiling faces and great attitude. I will always recommend this place to anyone looking for a storage unit. Great prices as well! Make sure you reserve a spot online before going to the location for a even cheaper price! They also give a coupon for a discount on a truck rental which is even better! Thinking about downsizing soon just so I have a reason to keep going to this location. Lol They have made a lasting impression and have totally changed my perspective on what storages are like. I got my storage space in a very short wait time considering, of course, their reservation/application computer system's efficiency and productivity features. And that is absolutely fantastic since I was at a rush on the day I came to apply for the space I really needed. The facility is clean, well maintained and obviously secured. The Norwalk staff (Elena!) is very helpful and this is a corporate complaint. They start you at a decent rate and then systematically raise their prices throughout your stay. I've been here 2 years and they've increased my rate by 41%. 41%...granted that's $34 total but I have a very small unit. Extra Space Storage is banking on you to swallow that rate increase because they know moving your stuff again is a dire thought. Next to death and illness, moving ranks as one of the most traumatic experiences humans can have. I called the Norwalk office and the corporate office to plea to keep my old rate. Nope! they said it's commensurate with the rates out there.. didn't go through any kind of analysis... the rep took all of 2 seconds to tell me no. Extra Space Storage would rather get new business and offer discounts to new clients when you have a loyal one that pays on time and never goes to her unit. BTW, my unit got robbed within 3 months of moving my things into my unit. 3 months....I made multiple visits to Norwalk Extra Storage (I don't live close), met with police, filled out forms. I took it and chalked it to bad luck. Back to my 41% raise...it's not worth it. The unit is so rudimentary with a thin plywood style door with one lock (they have yet to replace the 2nd lock that all units should have). Extra Space Storage has no loyalty to their clients. Extra Space Storage declined my very fair request to let my very small rudimentary unit to remain at the 3rd rate they've given me. They do not care. So.. I will bid my time til I can get my stuff out and go to a storage company with a metal door. or tell mom she needs to make room in her garage for my stuff! Extra Space Storage has no customer loyalty. You'll get lured by their introductory rate but if you plan on longer term storage, look for a better company than this unsympathetic and apathetic one. read more

I love this place! I'm moving my stuff here from a place that has only boxes outside and it gets too dark to see anything inside at about 4 P.M.. On top of that, they close access at only 7 P.M.. At this place, they have "houses" of storage boxes that are inside with a light so you can still see after the sun goes down, and they're access hours are until 10:00 P.M.. Jorge and Elena are very polite, courteous, and very accommodating. read more

Better to reserve in person because the online chat representative never mentioned there is a mandatory insurance fee even after I asked him over and over again if there were any additional charges on top of the fee for storage, he kept saying no then when I got to the office the reprsentative told me about the fee. I'm on a very tight budget so I have to count every dollar. He did offer me a smaller unit but it was too small, however, the prices are about the best I could find close to where I live and the office reprsentative had a nice personality so it made up for my disappointment in the additional insurance fee. read more

this is the worst facility ever if you have a choice please go anywhere and everywhere else but this location! The workers are rude snooty and liars they are harassing and then when you try to make a payment they say no no payments can be accepted please pick up your belongings before the auction date: so then when you go pick up your belongings its just a tagline to get you in there so you can pay them after they have already stated no payment can be accepted I give them a negative 5stars! read more
