The most terrible,misinformed and ignorant staff I have ever had the misfortune to encounter!!!…read more I presented a flat rate box that was bulged and they refused to ship it! I had researched the official USPS website prior to packaging it and it clearly met all the requirements and specifically said that bulges in the box are not a problem as long as it closes on the normal folds which it did! Even when presented with the written regulations from USPS website they dug in their heels a refused to ship my parcel. The postal service needs to either train its staff or at least have them learn the regulations!! They are absolutely the classic example of overpaid under qualified government employees. I would give zero stars if I could!! No wonder this post office has a 2.1 rating on Yelp! I added this edit later- I took the parcel to San Roque post office and they accepted it without blinking an eye. I told them what happened in Goleta with these idiots and they just shook their heads and rolled their eyes!

I am SO UPSET with our mail carrier, whoever it may be. He jammed this Amazon box in our mailbox so…read moretight, neither my husband or so could get it out. The height of the box at the back, where the carrier puts things in, must be higher than the height at the front. There is a slight "lip" that runs across the width of the box at the front, that comes down from the top of the box. The lip is what's preventing us from removing the Amazon box. There are larger mailboxes at the bottom of our mailbox bank (condo complex), and we have received larger packages in those boxes. Or, the mail carrier has sometimes delivers to our front door. I have seen USPS carriers do that at our neighbors condos too. So here I sit, extremely irritated that I cannot retrieve my Amazon package.

We just used Hazelwood for a move with packing and unpacking service…read more The good... On the first leg, a professional crew showed up on time, packed our items, and loaded the truck quickly. The bad... The arrival leg revealed a lack of caring and attention to detail that was surprising to us given the white glove price. * Clothes and shoes were dumped on the floor of the closet. * Metal kitchen items were loosely packed with delicate ceramics. * Spill-able items, eg salt, olive oil, were not sealed and made a mess. * TV was placed on a stand that was not assembled properly. * The entry lamp was knocked askew. * Large tree branch was broken off and thrown in the yard. The unload crew members were unlike the original crew. They were rushing through the job and kind of hostile. My expectations were probably too high here. The move was really expensive. i thought that meant they would care about us. Nothing here is earth shattering but given the price and reputation of Allied, we expected better. We called Hazelwood. They thanked us for our feedback so hopefully your experience will be different. : ) (I would recommend hiring a separate packing and unpacking service. )

I had moved with this company over 10 years ago and so glad I remembered to reach out again. Casey took personal care to come and give a very fair estimate and stuck to it. The movers were efficient and delivered. For any issues Casey is right on top of it to make sure things are done right allowing for ease and trust. Even provided wardrobe boxes. . I highly recommend them and so glad to find them again.

I hired Jared's Moving Service twice and experienced significant operational issues both times…read more During my first move, the movers used another customer's storage access code, creating a serious conflict with the storage facility that escalated to the point where police involvement was discussed. Despite multiple calls from both myself and the movers, Jared did not come on site and minimized the issue. Rather than completing the move as planned, the company redirected to a different storage facility as they refused to continue working with the initial unit, resulting in additional disruption and expense. Jared attributed this to the storage facility rather than acknowledging it as a company error. Regarding the second move, the movers themselves worked hard, but the management and communication did not. Most of my communication was with Brent, and in the weeks leading up to the move I dealt with repeated scheduling changes, incorrect arrival information, confusion about storage logistics, and repeated communication failures. I repeatedly had to follow up just to obtain accurate information, resulting in additional expense, disruption, and lost time. The billing process was similarly frustrating. Before booking, I received a written estimate from Jared's Moving Service for a straightforward move between two storage units. After the move, I received an invoice that exceeded the estimate by more than $1,000 and included charges not reflected in the estimate. When I questioned the invoice, Jared first told me there was no estimate on file. After I told him we both could access the estimate email, he changed his explanation to say it was only a "4-hour minimum move estimate," not a full estimate. Again, not accurate as I have the estimate. After this conversation, several charges were removed, confirming that the original invoice was not accurate, but the bill was still much higher than the estimate and did not reflect any deduction from the moving company mismanagement, which I asked for. Jared told me he did not have the "capability" to make any further changes. I told him the dispute was not resolved. The most concerning part of this experience was how the billing dispute was handled. The company had saved my credit card information from processing my deposit over the phone without authorization from me. When Jared texted that he intended to charge my card. I immediately responded by both email and text that he did not have my authorization to charge it until the dispute was resolved. Despite those written instructions, my card was charged anyway before the dispute was resolved. I also asked that all further communication regarding the dispute come directly from Jared because many of the earlier issues involved Brent. That request was ignored, and Brent continued contacting me. After this experience, I revisited the company's negative reviews and found that many described concerns similar to mine. I wish I had paid closer attention to those reviews before hiring the company. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Jared's Moving Service. Moving is stressful enough.
