These were not items we packed ourselves, yet they were handled poorly enough to result in significant damage. When we filed a claim, Movegreen offered only $0.60 per pound coverage, plus a small additional "good faith" amount of $650 -- a tiny fraction of the replacement cost for furniture exceeding $35,000. Even after escalating to ownership, they refused any further compensation and closed the claim. While the move itself was logistically smooth, the lack of accountability for damaged items and the minimal settlement was extremely disappointing. I would caution anyone moving valuable or heavy furniture to carefully review coverage options and understand that Movegreen may not provide meaningful compensation if damage occurs as a result of their handling.

From Chelsea, to Brooke, to Frank onsite, to John...the entire team showed up for me. It was very easy to schedule and transparent. I was a nervous mover and they always made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Even when I thought there were missing items (turns out there were not) they scrambled to make sure there wasn't a single lost item. On my move-in day they had a nearby team finish early so they called them over and I had 6 team members get all my household inside in under 2 hours, including building back up my complicated office desk and king sized bed frame. Very grateful for their team and process. Highly recommend.

Gordon, the owner of Santa Barbara Moving Made Easy actually listened to what I needed (many didn't) and provided me the best man for the job who over-delivered, way beyond my expectations!! I was also not charged for time and gas driving for sending his guy from Santa Barbara, a long drive to and from Oxnard! Friendly, quality, decently priced service! One of the best experience I've had with professional movers . (I've moved many times in my life.) To be fair, I have not used them for an actual move, I wanted help to move heavy boxes, as I sought to reorganize my storage I had packed in a hurry, so it was very chaotic. The mover not only helped me move them, put up shelves but had an uncanny and incredible eye for organizing and space efficiency! He was fantastic to work with and also really listened to my stated preferences, gently suggesting ideas that worked much better than some of the ones I had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Disappointing Experience…read more We hired Jared's Movers for a local move in Santa Barbara after getting quotes from three different companies. Jared's estimate was the lowest, but I was skeptical when he quoted just 4-5 hours for the move with a three-man crew, especially since the other companies estimated 6-7 hours for the same scope. I voiced my concerns, and he agreed to revise the estimate to 6 hours to be more realistic since I emphasized that I had a strict budget, and 6 hours was the maximum I could spend. To help stay within that limit, I told him I'd handle all the kitchen and artwork packing myself--tasks he originally planned to include. He agreed this would reduce the total time needed. On moving day, the team worked efficiently, and Jared even remarked, "See, I told you it would go quickly. I don't know what those other movers were thinking." Yet when the move was finished, he claimed the job took longer than the 6-hour estimate, despite the reduced scope. He charged my card for the overage without my consent, and when I disputed it, he refused to honor the agreed estimate. It was clear at that point he had underestimated the job just to win the business. To make matters worse, we later realized a side table was missing. After multiple follow-up calls (which he promised to return and didn't), we finally received a call from another team member who looked into it for us and found the table--broken and hidden under a blanket in the back of the truck. He offered a reimbursement based on a similar table he found online, but it was only $130--significantly less than what our original piece cost. I accepted the reimbursement just to be done with the ordeal. I was at least somewhat pleased that he was honest about finding the broken table. In hindsight, I regret tipping the crew as generously as I did. Between the inaccurate estimate, the surprise overcharge, the damaged furniture, and poor post-move communication, this was a disappointing experience I would not recommend to others.
