What a fun a quirky place. Alcove after alcove, room after room of potential treasures. We have been back a few times and always find something interesting. Prices are reasonable. Some of the tucked away corners can be a little warm etc, but fans scattered throughout help. read more

Definitely worth a stop if you're into antiquing and in the area. There's plenty to keep you wandering and interested! It's a decent sized shop and the staff were very friendly and helpful! The shop is laid out very well and the stalls are neat and organized and easy to browse! I didn't get lost at all...very clear pathways! Plenty of interesting items - furniture, knickknacks, lots of nice dishes, paintings, chandeliers, patio furniture - you name it! They also have some larger items out back - more patio stuff and even a claw foot tub! It was gorgeous but was already sold noooo!!! I still managed to walk away with a little treasure! The vibes in here were honestly so weird, the ladies weren't welcoming at all. It was really really hot in there, like unbearable. I get it's an antique shop, but it seems like a hoarding shop and the boots that are priced at $200-300 the leather is falling apart!! Overpriced for sure. read more

This antique "mall" could really be a hit or miss depending on what you're looking for. While definitely not the size of a mall, it is a pretty large shop with rooms upon rooms you can definitely get a little lost in. There is a large parking lot on site and a whole back garden section behind the building. If you are someone who likes little trinkets, china dish-wear, records and tapes, and old vintage style clothing this could be your place. They also have a ton of very pricey furniture items and random outdoor equipment. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the selection in general and the few items I did pick up that I thought were neat were about a million dollars over priced. My favorite section was the succulent arrangements alongside the wall on the right side of the front door. While the plants definitely looked like they could use a water and the pots weren't the most amazing vintage pots, there was still a nice selection to look at and the colors really made the building look nice. Overall, this definitely isn't my favorite shop as things were very over priced, the outdoor section was random and unorganized, and the value just did not seem to be there in most items. Again, this could be a shop for you if have the funds and love little tiny collectors items or pricey vintage dresses. Give it a shot and let me know! read more

This night be the only antique mall I'll ever review, so take it with a grain of salt, but this is a fun place to explore. It's located in a nondescript building next to the Creekside that seems to go on and on and on, each area filled with endearing items ranging from jewelry to clothes, pictures to silverware, and everything in between. I can't speak to the prices at all, relative to my inexperience with such businesses, but it seemed like things were reasonable. If you're an antiquer, I definitely think this place is worth a visit. read more

I was very excited about shopping here on 10/27/21, I started in the back with the outdoor spaces, then went indoors. It's a rather large mall but more than half is inside... I glanced at the counter as I walked indoors toward the counter, I don't know if these were owners or employees but they were not wearing masks. I've shopped here in an out for over 10 years and I've spent literally 2-3 thousand dollars on furniture and jewelry. But this last experience I had with an employee has really made me rethink coming here, let alone telling friends or clients. Simply put, this employee, with red hair, was pretending to look around while "spying" on me and a couple of friends looking at some books. I was completely unaware of this until one of my friends pointed her out. I then looked up to watch this woman staring at us, then quickly look back down to "shuffle" her papers. Now I understand that one has to walk around their shop to make sure things aren't taken, but that needs to be conducted with tact. Introduce yourself, ask if you can help; but for gods sake don't act like some bumbling sidekick in a spy sitcom. Nancy Drew would be so ashamed. I decided to stop here with my younger sister. We walked in and were ignored / weren't made eye contact with when we came in. Another customer walks past and was given a warm welcome and hello.. we then walked around the store looking for something cool to buy. My sister was walking a missed a step and fell. Granted there are two signs that say watch your step - I am just glad she was okay. We tried laughing off the whole thing and walked around the store. One of the employees came by and felt like she was watching us even though we saw lots of surveillance/ cameras in the store. And she did not greet us still. We then went around the front desk again and clearly were snubbed / the ladies did not smile or make eye contact with us. Not friendly, we walk in and no one says hello. Always a great sign. Further as we walked further in there was a horrendous odor on a hot day. Overheard the employee saying that another employee had just sprayed some sort of repellent inside. Felt like the odor was stuck in my nose after leaving. Let me preface this by saying that I used to shop here all the time in high school and I've loved this place for years. Their prices are very good and I used to spend hours in there. The last time I came in, I was looking for a gift for my mom. I found a beautiful woven coaster set that was only around $10. I was delighted and walked around the store with it. I went to go look at the side room by the door and the woman behind the counter quickly and worriedly blurted out that she had to hold the coasters behind the counter for me. The tone of her voice and her mannerisms implied that she thought I was going to run out of the store with it, which was quite offensive. I went along with it and brought it over to her so she could hold the $10 coaster (which felt ridiculous compared to the average prices of the store's items). When I was done looking, I purchased the coaster set and never went back. I felt targeted, as there were other people shopping in the store and I didn't see anyone experience the same treatment. Again, this is after years of loving this store and never having an issue. It may seem odd that I'm writing this, as this happened at least a couple years ago, but I've really wanted to go back and chose not to because I was hurt by how I was treated. read more

Just okay selection with rude staff. If I were a space-renter here, I'd want to know that they do NOTHING to sell your stuff and actually drive off potential buyers. I went in here recently (I've been in around 10 times in as many years, and I know it was a different store before but the vendor booths seem stocked with the same stuff) and was surprised at how rude the staff were. There were three women who ignored all the customers in the store except one couple who came in whom they appeared to know personally. I was with a friend who was interested in pocket watches and we didn't see them in the jewelry cabinet so she had the "audacity" to ask the woman behind the counter where she might find them. The woman kind of shrugged her shoulders and said, "Well, this is the jewelry counter, so it's all in here...." And then she walked out from behind the counter....we thought to direct us to another spot in the store. But no. She just walked out into the back area, leaving us there. Some of the stuff is unique and the prices aren't as much as downtown or even the antique store up the street in old town Goleta. But my god, the service leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Lovely place to stop for some antiquing in Santa Barbara. Looking the place up on Yelp, I was excited and then a bit let down when I found that the name (mall) was a bit of an exaggeration. This is a large space, don't get me wrong. And there are booths and corners of the space for different vendors to display their furniture, jewelry, clothing, and collectibles. But in contrast to other antique malls, this business was about 1/4 the size of other places I'm more familiar with. I was really hoping for a one stop shop spot where I could spend hours browsing items and tempting myself with some new-to-me things to take back to Seattle. Instead, my sister and I managed to see the entire store in about 15 mins or less. We spotted some great vintage finds and a lovely mix of things that intrigued us. Out back there was a fantastic selection of furniture too, perhaps the best part of this whole space. Very light on antique jewelry, milk glass, and tea/china sets which is what I was mostly looking for. My sister was looking for large minerals and gems and that was lacking as well. But there's still so much to see and look at that we had a great time here and it wouldn't stop us from coming back to see how the various collections change. read more

Dual Review - We meet Dave from one of his Estate Sales. His crew was fair and controlled the crowds and made sure we had access to shop. His team gives good prices and good service. He told us about his store so we figured we would head on over and check it out. When you see a known antique dealer buying from a retail store you know the prices are right and selection was good. We found a nice vintage telescope for $40.00. They have a lot of different dealers so you will see lots of different things and prices. read more

*This review is based on several past experiences over the last 3 years. Customer service: I wish the people working here were more consistent in regards to quality of service. I'm a Santa Barbara native and I've been to the Antique Center Mall many times in the last couple of years and on one day I'm greeted and offered assistance, and on other days I'm completely ignored. On one occasion I was followed throughout the store as if they thought I was going to steal something. Maybe I don't look like their normal demographic of customers, but it doesn't make for a pleasant shopping experience. It's really hit or miss here. Consignment: I went in to consign a set of wrought iron ice cream bar stools and whoever I spoke to kind of brushed me off and said, "they didn't take those types of items". I went in a couple months later and saw that they had several similar wrought iron dining pieces available. I asked about consigning them again and he offered a pretty low price even though they were in great condition. I ended up selling them on craigslist for 2.5 times as much. Shopping: I've window shopped and purchased some household items from here over the years. I tend to buy more unique functional items to fit my home decor rather than trinkets and small decorative items. With that said, I (perhaps naively) assumed that the items sold in the store were older items and antiques. I was disappointed when I purchased a wood step stool for $50 only to find out that it was actually a $19.99 Ikea stool. I also purchased a set of 3 rattan kids chairs for $130 and just saw them on Target's website in the Threshold collection. I'm happy with the items I purchased, but I guess I should just shop retail and avoid the Antique Center Mall's markup. read more

I have had several wonderful experiences with the Antique Mall. The store carries many items that are collectibles and actual antiques! The staff is very helpful and accommodating. I went in looking for a China Hutch, gave a description and although at the time they did not have one in, the girl at the counter took my information and in a week when the perfect hutch showed up they contacted me. It was exactly what I was looking for. This store is a wonderful find with excellent and fair prices. They have a wide selection and years of experience. I have been in this store a couple of times. I have found it to be very hit-or-miss as to whether it is open according to the posted hours. They seem to open and close app on a whim. I went in last week when the weather was extremely hot. It was like a sauna inside. There is no air conditioning. Although there were many great things to look at, I was unable to stay in the building because of the Heat and lack of ventilation. The staff there are not very helpful. Basically, I am ignored most of the time. It is difficult to find prices as most of the items I looked at, did not have tags. so again, the store itself is very fun but I wish it had more consistent hours, more helpful staff and better ventilation or air conditioning. read more

It would be really nice to shop here but they are not consistent in manning the shop. You can't count on them to be open. Save yourself a trip, go to a shop (like in Carpinteria) where they stay open most of the time. When you do get in be prepared to get in and out quickly! It's sweltering inside as they don't invest in air conditioning. I've seen it over 90°F inside! No one needs to leisurely shop in a sweat shop. You have other options. read more

I was even on the hunt for a chiming clock and when they didn't have one at the shop, David, the owner, suggested I meet them at an estate sale they were managing. The staff is always very helpful on the phone and in person when you're looking for something in particular, but any time I go there, I can easily spend a wonderful time looking through all of their amazing finds. read more

Wow, the folks who run this place are rude, condescending and borderline hostile when you don't see things their way. I get the customer isn't always right but a little courtesy and compromise go along way when I'm laying down my hard earned money. I'm aghast and cant believe this place is even in business. Although we had to drive to get there - this spot is well worth it. As other reviewers have said, there's good parking. But what a delightful spot. It's true that prices are regular retail - and some not competitive in today's Internet world. But the place has wonderful antiques, interesting artists, a wide variety of things - always something to find. And the store owner is very friendly and interesting. I'm a big fan of the Antique Center Mall. A great combination of flea market finds, fine antiques, vintage clothes, desingner hand bags, books and great decorative items. Great selection of costume and real jewlery too. Something for everyone's taste and collections. Really, it is one of the best in Santa Barbara. I found prices very reasonable, and their dealers willing to work with you on price. I go often and find the merchandise changes quickly so there is always something new. Love the free and plenty of parking, ease of access, right off of the 101 and clean bathroom, owners are willing to offer to customers, getting rare in antique malls these days.
