We recently hired Movegreen for a local move. The crew was efficient, but several heavy, high-value items that were blanket-wrapped by their team -- including antiques, designer furniture, and custom marble pieces -- were damaged and broken. These were not items we packed ourselves, yet they were handled poorly enough to result in significant damage. When we filed a claim, Movegreen offered only $0.60 per pound coverage, plus a small additional "good faith" amount of $650 -- a tiny fraction of the replacement cost for furniture exceeding $35,000. Even after escalating to ownership, they refused any further compensation and closed the claim. While the move itself was logistically smooth, the lack of accountability for damaged items and the minimal settlement was extremely disappointing. I would caution anyone moving valuable or heavy furniture to carefully review coverage options and understand that Movegreen may not provide meaningful compensation if damage occurs as a result of their handling. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Movegreen. Even though I was out of town moving to Santa Barbara I still chose them over local movers as I trusted the referral and their quote process. From Chelsea, to Brooke, to Frank onsite, to John...the entire team showed up for me. It was very easy to schedule and transparent. I was a nervous mover and they always made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Even when I thought there were missing items (turns out there were not) they scrambled to make sure there wasn't a single lost item. On my move-in day they had a nearby team finish early so they called them over and I had 6 team members get all my household inside in under 2 hours, including building back up my complicated office desk and king sized bed frame. They start by listening very carefully to your particular concerns (mine were all about protecting original artwork by famous artists and rare, one of a kind carved pieces of furniture). John visited my house several times before moving day to check on my packing progress (I was eager to pack a few precious belongings), and on moving day, he gave his "platoon" of 12 powerfully strong men a short pep talk about the importance of treating every item they packed as if every item were a museum piece. The team loaded 4 trucks ( 3 with household furnishings, and **1 giant truck with plants, and HUGE incredibly heavy stoneware, a giant marble table, a massive outdoor stone fountain, and many giant porcelain pots). What a nightmare for that crew - but they handled it all perfectly. If I could give them *50* stars I'd do it. MoveGreen is absolutely FANTASTIC. read more

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Brian, my estimator/cordinator was so on it, I was truly blown away! He was 2 steps ahead of me at every turn. What a delight to know that I didn't have to overthink the job! In the end, I moved across state lines and he handed the job off to Wheaton but stayed present as my coordinator. Unpacking boxes and found damage to a desktop computer. The adapter on the computer that the monitor connects to was heavily damaged and I had to buy a new part. My computer repair guy was blown away by the damage and said, "this adapter had to be hit really hard for this kind of damage." I couldn't agree more and holding my breath as I open the computer and search for more. In addition to that an expensive Power Supply was damaged and broken apart. A Chandler was broken beyond repair. There is always some damage when you move, but I would classify this as reckless. Get insurance if you use this company. read more

DO NOT USE MOVEGREEN! After having moved across the country multiple times, this was absolutely, unequivocally the absolute worst moving experience I have ever had. I moved from LA to Washington, DC. I stored my things through Movegreen until I was ready for them in DC. Once I requested the move, Movegreen took over FIVE WEEKS to get my things out of storage and into transit. Then, they shipped them freight to another moving company in D.C. After over a month living in an empty house because Movegreen did not act. Once my things finally arrived MULTIPLE BOXES ARE MISSING and I have received no response and no help from Movegreen regarding my claim. This company is supremely unprofessional, takes no accountability for their role as your mover and it was an absolute nightmare of an experience. As a result, I have also lost multiple boxes in the process. Do not use this company. read more

We needed help moving our belongings from SB to Ventura. We packed, they loaded and moved us, unloaded the truck all in one day. They were SO careful with our new home/paint/floors and our belongings as well. The movers were respectful and kind. If they saw me carrying anything to my car, they took it and said "let me do this for you" even if it was not going in the truck. The team worked well, worked smart and fast. I did not use Movegreen. This is a review of the customer service and the quote process. I called Movegreen for a quote on a Goleta to Goleta move. When I spoke to the Movegreen customer service, they said that they would charge xx/hour and that they would also charge a $45 fuel fee. What?! The move was 4 miles away. I asked if they would waive it, since it is only a 4 mile trip, and they said they had to charge me from their warehouse to the job. Apparently, this local company must not be local. When I asked if they would waive it, due to the actual move being so shot, they absolutely refused. Obviously, I went with someone else. They were local and never mentioned a fuel fee. read more

It is painful to write this review. I've used Movegreen on three different occasions. The problem with my last move was damage and breakage. This happens in moves but after 6 months of reporting the damage, which they saw when they unloaded and unpacked, filing the paper work and asking time and time again. All has not been resolved. Given a quote for move and movers actually finished a little ahead of time and charged me a little less. All 3 were friendly and offered to do anything I needed to assist move. Assembling the beds was a nice perk -tired at the end of the day. They treated my items carefully and managed to get everything in one load- I didn't think they could. Would recommend to friends and family. The only thing I did not like was being asked to sign 3 documents on a pad that was too small to read. Would have liked these documents the day before in a readable size, but that is for the company to correct and nothing the actual movers did. read more
