After lots of searching and finding the best quotes in town I came across a American self storage as my good friend used them recently while he was in transition of finding a new place. JC, David and Roman you guys are the best! and we're extremely helpful understanding and just get it overall as to the pain and stress and frustration of finding a living situation and their flexibility and kindness went a long way to ease the pain of moving and all that comes with it. Besides the great customer service they even we're best as far as cost goes with the 50% off for 2 months special which is extremely ideal if you're looking at short-term storing of your valuables and other crap that you accumulate over the years. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in need of a quick and easy process as far as far as no paperwork etc. They even offer a free truck to use and we even have somebody come out to your location with the truck for you to move with you and whoever else is helping you at no cost which nobody else does in town. Just make sure to call ahead of time and reserve the truck for the day you need it and it will be available or at your house conveniently. Thank you so much for the help and he's on the pockets as you know Santa Barbara is not the most friendly when it comes to budget. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere just give them a call and you'll see for yourself I hope this saves whoever reads this their valuable time can stress trying to sort out everything that goes along with relocating. Thanks for killing it keep it real AA American you the best! read more

My daughter and her roommates found this storage facility when looking to store their furnishings for 1 month between moving out of one apartment in IV and into another one at the end of the school year. They had never done this before and were nervous about how to get everything to the storage unit. David Ortiz was great! He was helpful in pro-rating the cost of the unit to fit their exact needs and sent a free truck to pick everything up and take it to the unit. The facility was clean and we were able to rent the truck to bring everything back to her new apartment a month later. I highly recommend this storage facility and Assistant Manager, David Ortiz! read more

Amid the craziness of the COVID-19 crisis, when UCSB cancelled class and finals, and urged students to go home, I was able to rent a storage unit, arrange a pick up and extract my son from Santa Barbara all in less than 24 hours--and from out of state. I couldn't have done it without the help of the awesome folks at A-American! They helped me fill out and rent a unit online, pay for it and set up the pick up of my son's stuff from just outside his dorm for the next morning. They showed up on time and the move went very smoothly. AND they did not try to up sell or over charge in my time of need. Thanks for an excellent experience under trying times. read more

I had used A-American Self Storage in the past. It had been a while. But suddenly I found myself in a situation where I needed storage space fast. I went down to A-American Self Storage and I discovered that it was under new management. I spoke to David about my situation and he was great. He explained their pricing structure based on my storage needs. He set me up on the spot with auto-billing, promo-discounts, and explained their security and insurance policies. I would recommend A-American Self Storage to friends & family. David knows his business and focuses on his clients' needs/priorities. Thanks David. Victor read more

My niece needed a storage unit for just a few weeks, which normally might be difficult to find for such a short length of time. I was astonished she found not only availability and super affordable rates at this clean and secure facility, but the ability to rent a truck (WITH A DRIVER!!) for less than what my son had to pay for with just a simple storage unit in the Bay Area. When my niece underestimated the size she needed, Luis and David found us a second unit at an unbelievable rate. Customer service really was a pleasure, and though I usually don't post reviews, this time our experience warranted it! read more

After having such a great experience during my previous move I decided to use A-American Self Storage again and I am glad I did. For the second time in the past year, David Ortiz has provided outstanding customer service. Even with my indecisiveness on unit size, he has been incredibly helpful and more than happy to make sure I got the right unit for my needs by showing me each and every unit, explaining the differences and all without a sign of frustration - the rest of the staff too is nice and helpful. In addition, the units are incredibly clean and taken care of. Would definitely recommend! read more

I had been looking for a self storage last minute and American Self Storage was the only place that was able to help me. David the owner and George were very friendly and super helpful! They gave me a great price for the unit I was looking for! And to top it all of, David speaks Spanish which was of great help when it came to communication with my dad. Overall I have loved my experience with this place and I highly recommended to anyone and everyone who needs a fast and affordable place to store their things at! read more

As a college student I would fully recommend this place! They have a variety of locker sizes for reasonable prices and bunch of great deals waiting to get taken advantage of like 50% first 2 months when I signed for my locker. The paper process and quick and easy and as someone who doesn't have her own car, the truck and driver they provide for FREE is amazing! Luis Obispo at the front desk was friendly, considerate, and an overall great guy the help with everything! I will be coming back! read more

Being our first time using A-American Self Storage, and first time moving out of a house, my housemate and I had many questions and concerns throughout the moving process. However, every last issue was handled kindly and professionally by Luis. He made it super easy to choose the right unit for our needs, and made scheduling the truck a piece of cake. He was really friendly when we got to the location and made it a pleasure to use this company. Will recommend read more

I was trying to find a safe and efficient storage unit in Santa Barbara and I luckily found A-American Self Storage and David Ortiz. David gave me an optimum customer service, starting when I called and asked for information, and even more when I walked in the building. He was very helpful, kind and knowledgable. I am very happy with the customer service, the unit and the facilities to this self-storage service in general and I highly recommend it. read more

Great location! Roman helped me find the perfect unit for me! Moved here from Seattle and my apartment is a touch small, so I needed to store some extra stuff. A-American is in a secure building, climate controlled, and they offer all kinds of options! I was looking at 5x5 but it looked a little bigger than I needed, so I went for a 4x5. It's a little odd that it's in a space ABOVE another unit, but it saved me some money! Definitely recommend!! read more

This storage facility was highly recommended to me by a friend. She also said to speak with DAVE. I'm glad I did, because he was extremely helpful. He was also very concerned that I had been a mudslide victim, and was very careful about what size unit I should rent, and he was right. He was very pleasant, and made this experience seamless, and easy. DAVE is the type of employee that everyone wants working for them...A pleasure. Thanks Dave. read more

Super nice team here that is Veteran friendly. These guys went out of their way to help lock in a great rate with veteran discount. They also made room for me to leave a pod near my unit so I could easily transload it. Was expecting this to be a nightmare project but it turned out to be really pleasant. I was also able to buy locks right there in the office. Cant recommend them enough. read more

Dave and Luis were very helpful and friendly. It seems like customer service is harder and harder to come by these days, but these guys understand the importance of it. The free truck to help you move, the good rates, the cleanliness of the facility make it easy to give them a good rating. Check them out before you rent anywhere else. read more
