I loved not having to setup paper boxes, hassle with tape guns, etc. and it made unpacking easier because the boxes nest together into a nice stack. That makes unpacking easier because as you empty a box it is out of the way - no need to flatten all of those cardboard boxes. My socially conscious middle schooler was also happy to do something environmentally friendly. :)

Michael also makes things extremely convenient by dropping them off and picking them up whenever is convenient for you. You don't have to deal with extra cardboard and tape everywhere as you are unpacking. Just one less thing you have to deal with. Would highly recommend.

However it had been 10 days. exceptional calling Home Depot getting them too. Send a new packing slip to UPS. Then half an hour later when I got home, Lou and another representative came to my house with the new packing slip and physically loaded the hundred pound AC into the back of the truck to Home Depot. I almost cried in the store because up into that point Home Depot had not been helpful at all. Lou saved the day for me and I am eternally grateful. Then the other day I shipped a family heirloom from the store to my son in Boston. Alas, it got waylaid and even with the tracking number and insurance, neither my son there nor I here could locate it. So I went back to the store on Grand for help and to "complain," and without hesitating the staff jumped to help and in less than five minutes the shipment had been tracked down in Boston. Lu even called me with an update too! Now the issue will be resolved. I paid for it to be delivered to my garage, which cost extra money. The movers who came to pick it up were great, but the rest of the service was terrible. The piece was not packed well - see the photo. Once it got to close to my town, I was told by the receiving company they could not deliver it to my garage and wanted me to come pick it up. I called Navis, and the person who set up the shipping said "interesting. ' Let me know how it turns out.' I tried to figure out how to get the item, but after a week, called Navis back and they talked with the receiving company and finally it was delivered 10 days later.

This is where the late fees begin to add up. All with no notice. Save all communications with them, as they seem to not get all messages. I have a love-hate relationship with this U-Haul and with U-Haul in general…read more 1) I like buying weird shaped boxes and packing supplies here for shipping my Ebay stuff. They're pretty expensive. But they aren't as expensive as The UPS Store. I can get all of these things cheaper on-line at U-Line but I'd have to order big quantities. So I go to U-Haul for weird boxes like "plant" boxes, "golf club" boxes, and "flat screen TV" boxes. On the other hand... When they run out of something, they're in no big hurry to re-order. And many times, they seem completely oblivious that they're out of something. And it takes weeks to replenish. 2) I like the trailer rentals. I think the rates are very reasonable and I've rented many times. On the other hand... I'm irritated that they have no one-way trailer rentals. You have to return it back to the original location. Bummer. 3) The vehicle rentals are super expensive and I wouldn't rent one under any circumstances unless I was really, really desperate. The day rate (in BIG letters) seems fair but the mileage rate (in small letters) makes renting very expensive. I always drive all the way to Columbia Heights Rental if I have to rent a big truck with no mileage fees. Lord help you if you need to rent a truck and drive across the United States! 4) I like all of the front line staff. They always seem really cool and to know their jobs well. On the other hand... The manager never smiles, always has a scowl, and he looks like he's gonna bust someone in the nose at any minute. I'm not sure what this is all about. Maybe that's why all of the staff always seem so quiet and reserved! Maybe they're scared of him. I actually got him to bust a smile the last time I saw him though. :-) 5) Finally, I think the storage rental thing is pretty good. He pulled up the recording of the call, which took almost 30 minutes extra of our time to prove us wrong, but it proved us right. He did extended it to the end of their business hours (an extra 6 hours), but it was still short and a pain for us to rush the move. Overall his staff was decent to us, but he was very rude and crass to my older father, and I, who had done everything right. Would highly recommend avoiding them if you can.

CHARGED ME DOUBLE THE QUOTE PRICE…read more I would not recommend this company based on my experience. I was quoted for approximately 4 hours of packing and loading, but the job took around 8 hours because the workers were extremely slow. I also had to leave during the job to purchase additional shrink wrap because my sofa and larger items had not been wrapped. When I returned, the worker told me I would still be charged the original flat rate. After the job, I was presented with a bill that was more than double what I was quoted. When I questioned it, the worker denied telling me what he had previously said. I tried to find a reasonable compromise because I understood the job had taken longer than expected. Instead, the owner became extremely argumentative and repeatedly yelled at me over the phone. He told me he was tired of customers not wanting to pay and told me not to trust what his own worker had told me because the worker did not know the correct price. As a woman alone and surrounded by multiple men, I felt extremely uncomfortable and intimidated. I ultimately paid although I disagreed with the price because the workers would not allow me to leave without paying. This was not simply a disagreement over a job taking longer than expected. I was given conflicting information about the price, charged more than double the quoted amount, and then subjected to an aggressive response when I tried to resolve the situation.

When the movers arrived there were three, really? They handled the move well however at the conclusion my electric fireplace doesn't work anymore AND the bill I was given was for $784 and change. I said I'm not paying that because that isn't the amount I was quoted and there were supposed to be two men not three. The gentleman insisted that was the quote he was given by his boss. We went back and forth and then I said I was going to call his boss and ask if they had made a mistake. When I said that he said fine you can have the move for $500 plus tax!! I haven't put a claim in for the fireplace yet so we'll see what happens when I do. Will I use Good Stuff Moving again? Probably not. Would I recommend them? Not sure.
