Absolutely avoid public storage if you can. My rate for a 10 x 10 units increased three times this year for an overall increase of $100 month. Find a small, family owned business as this agency price gouges. The phone is never answered and visits are by appointment only. For these prices, the office should be staffed. I don't like the fact that I even have to give this place a star. Since day one this place has been a joke. All the ads say the first month is $1. That's basically a lie, so I pay for my first month because the $1 only goes to $100 so I have to pay whatever's over $100. After I get done paying four everything which was a different amount than what they told me on the phone, after that all of the sudden the kid behind the counter tells me I have to buy thier lock which is $20. I was NOT told about the lock so again the price changed and if you call the customer service number and you have a problem, they tell you "well if you don't like it, get your stuff out and go somewhere else" this is what thier employee says to a customer. Don't rent here they are a joke and they don't care about thier customers. read more

This is a great place to store your belongings. The customer service is absolutely amazing. I got the right size unit for a very reasonable price. Although it's stated that the first month is free, you must have insurance in order to rent a unit. I give them 4 stars only because it's not exactly "FREE" for the first month. read more

This place is horrible ! People find another storage don't give this place your money ! Spent over 10,000 here and l was making payments during the quarantine Covid in them few months l had got behind but had talked to the gal in the office which l had not seen before Every-time l was in there, there was someone new so l think they were hiring & training new people. The couple that usually were there and originally rented the storage to me l had not seen them for awhile . made a 120.00 payment told her l would be in the next month to pay it off . She told me they were working with people a lot of people had gotten behind during the quarantine. So no problem . I did not worry about it l had rented there for 4 years . If l was late on a payment l would pay the late fee whoever was in the office would walk with me or meet me at the unit take their lock and l would put mine on . There was never any problem discussing my storage . There was never problems discussing my storage when l gave them almost 200.00 every month there was never any Problems discussing my storage . Until that is, the next month when l went in to pay it , only to be told my stuff was gone. Everything l owned all my furnishings , all my cloths , my 4 kids stuff all their baby albums school projects , everything l had collected over 50 years. It was devastating . There is no way l Could ever replace even half of it. They sold my whole life to some stranger for 100.00 . When l did finally get ahold of the office They wouldn't discuss it with me because when l had rented the storage my license was clipped so l couldnt have it in my name so the guy that helped me signed the receipt . All them years the same people were in the office never even said l should switch it over when l did get my license back . They knew it was my storage my stuff l was the only one going in and out and paying the bill. No one ever said they couldn't discuss anything with me . That had nothing to do with it . They were trying to hire someone new that is why there was always different people around . It was their mistake someone didn't put their note in the computer stating l had discussed l would be paying it all the next month. I hadn't missed a month l was still paying it . Someone messed up and because of their mistake l lost everything l owned . I feel like my house burned down and public storage lit the match. read more

The worst public storage I have ever been to. Rates raise like crazy, and they are so rude. I can never get into my unit in the winter and the response from them "we can only do what we can do." Which is nothing apparently. I am moving out. read more

I was desperate to get a storage last minute today, as tomorrow I will be homeless. I met an Angel named Edwina, the mgr. They did not have the size unit I needed under the $1 special so she upgraded us for free. She has such a beautiful spirit, she could tell I was having a bad time and pulled me in for a hug and let me cry. We prayed over my situation and then I was able to carry on and pay for my purchase. All this while helping another customer, training a new gal yet she was so cheerful and personable. She even offered me a job! While I still am homeless, I no longer felt helpless. If I wasn't disabled, I would feel honored to work for Edwina!! read more

Couldn't closed my storage door due to ice so I took my lock off. No one was in the office, This was on 4-5-18, and it was during work hours. So I couldn't tell anyone that I took my lock off. The very next day I receive an email that my storage has been canceled. I was also recently charged for the monthly bill on the same day. So practically I was charged full months payment for one day. I called the office today 4-10-18 and talked to Edwina the manager. She said it was my responsibility to tell them that I took my lock off, which i would've if someone was actually there. It was during work hours when I was there. No employees, or no vehicle around what so ever. She gave me an attitude and was rude when I was on the phone with her. They will not give me a refund even though I never canceled. Charged full months for only one day. My storage unit is rented out to someone else. She should have not rented it out until the full month for which I paid for and never canceled. They have lost a customer. Fuck public storage! read more

Pricing is very misleading. They claim you get all these discounts when you sign up, but the fees cancel it out and you end up paying more than expected. I was very pissed at the 25 dollar raise in the price. I was only in the unit 3 months and the price went up. The staff wasn't upfront about this and contacting Public storage to talk about it was a waste of time. Will be leaving as soon as i find a place. The unit is not worth the price it is today. read more

Zero customer care. Refused to issue receipt of payment on 2 occasions when requested. Customer service agents are not interested in helping customers with issues. Public storage is only about receiving payments. They are not interested in customer satisfaction in the least! read more

The unit I have has rain water running into it every time it rains. For the price I pay it should be perfectly dry. I have lost some costly items, I am not very happy at this point. I will be moving out very soon!!! By the way the last price hike was $23.00. Seriously that's a big hike!!!! If I were you I would check out other places than this one. read more

I've been using Public Storage for the last 6 months now and I can't complain! Edwina is awesome and she was helpful when I got my unit! She remembers who I am every time I go in to pay my bill! She calls every month to remind me that rent is due, which is nice because sometimes I forget! The facility is secured and clean too! read more

The storage facility is well run. There were a couple of problem tenants on either side of my storage locker that worried me a more than a bit. There was always seemed to be some kind of drama going on between them. But before I even complained about them, the management removed.the problem tenants. Problem solved. There will be problems wherever you go. But what is important is that the company deals with problems in a professional timely manner. As I'm a night owl, my only complaint is that I would like to see later hours, hence the reason for only a 4 star rating. read more
