Then half an hour later when I got home, Lou and another representative came to my house with the new packing slip and physically loaded the hundred pound AC into the back of the truck to Home Depot. I almost cried in the store because up into that point Home Depot had not been helpful at all. Lou saved the day for me and I am eternally grateful. Then the other day I shipped a family heirloom from the store to my son in Boston. Alas, it got waylaid and even with the tracking number and insurance, neither my son there nor I here could locate it. So I went back to the store on Grand for help and to "complain," and without hesitating the staff jumped to help and in less than five minutes the shipment had been tracked down in Boston. Lu even called me with an update too! Now the issue will be resolved. He responded with a quick - "we can do it - let me find a driver" Jim, the Director of Ops did the drive. He is where I say they go above and beyond... On Monday, Jim and the crew had the house emptied in no time and loaded. We did a walk through, and coordinated our schedules. He then told me his itinerary and that he would text me each night. I was leaving Tuesday Morning and we both planned on being in MA on Wednesday evening. It went seamless. I heard from Jim each night, and again Thursday morning as he was headed to the new home with my furniture and goods. Like the loading of the truck, the unloading went just as smooth. In the end, not even a glass was cracked, everything was put where I wanted it, Jim was communicating the whole time, and the final price was within the quote. I paid for it to be delivered to my garage, which cost extra money. The movers who came to pick it up were great, but the rest of the service was terrible. The piece was not packed well - see the photo. Once it got to close to my town, I was told by the receiving company they could not deliver it to my garage and wanted me to come pick it up. I called Navis, and the person who set up the shipping said "interesting. ' Let me know how it turns out.' I tried to figure out how to get the item, but after a week, called Navis back and they talked with the receiving company and finally it was delivered 10 days later.
