I came in requesting to return an air conditioner to . Via UPS. HD had sent me a confirmation stating that UPS would come pick it up. However it had been 10 days. exceptional calling Home Depot getting them too. Send a new packing slip to UPS. Then half an hour later when I got home, Lou and another representative came to my house with the new packing slip and physically loaded the hundred pound AC into the back of the truck to Home Depot. I almost cried in the store because up into that point Home Depot had not been helpful at all. Lou saved the day for me and I am eternally grateful. I have been a longtime customer of this local UPS store in my neighborhood of St. Paul. Not once have I ever had a complaint; Lu and the staff are A-plus, and the services they provide meet my personal and professional needs. Then the other day I shipped a family heirloom from the store to my son in Boston. Alas, it got waylaid and even with the tracking number and insurance, neither my son there nor I here could locate it. So I went back to the store on Grand for help and to "complain," and without hesitating the staff jumped to help and in less than five minutes the shipment had been tracked down in Boston. Lu even called me with an update too! Now the issue will be resolved. Prompting me to post this review to emphasize that when it comes to customer service, the UPS Store on Grand has a powerful reach across the country! Impressive. read more

The younger man with long hair and a slight mustache/beard was the rudest individual I've encountered since moving to Minnesota in November. Lately, my reviews are Covid safety focused and this place was great with that. Sign on the door says not more than 5 people inside. All staff had on masks and there was a plexiglass partition at each register. Best part-everyone who works there was so friendly. read more

They have my frequent addresses on file, and have packed my gifts with precision! It's truly an easy place to get your shipping done. I've designated this UPS location for my alternate delivery pickup location for a package sent to me, hoping it would improve chances of certain delivery. Expected delivery was Saturday, but I receive the note of a failed delivery on Saturday. Investigating with UPS, I am told that this location did not accept my package delivered by the UPS driver, because they did not have available "shelf space". So, now my package is back in the warehouse and I have to wait until Monday before anything happens. How am I, as I customer supposed to know that a UPS store could or would be rejecting to accommodate a UPS delivery so that I can pick it up? Very disappointed with this location. My girlfriend recently relocated and selected UPS as the carrier to ship all of her possessions. Unfortunately, each box that she shipped was damaged by UPS in transit. The boxes were severely mishandled, arriving in poor condition with holes in them. Anything made of glass was shattered, and even items made of hard plastic were broken. The reason for the five-star review is this: even though the packages were handled incredibly poorly, the UPS Store on Grand Ave did an excellent job of helping us through the claims process. Once we got in contact with Kay, she apologized profusely for the damage to the boxes, and she did everything she could to make the situation right. Kay coached us through the process of getting reimbursements for the damage, and we ultimately received appropriate compensation. Thanks for helping us out of a tough situation, Kay! read more

We honestly have driven by this store probably dozens if not hundreds of times, and not really noticed it before. But today, we were in need of a UPS drop-off and were delighted to find out about this local shop! It's a typical UPS/mail type store. It's not really big but definitely gets the job done. The girl who helped us was super friendly and fast. She did not bog us down with a bunch of unnecessary questions (which i really appreciated) and gave us the option we asked for first. I was also pleased to note that this is a USPS drop off spot as well -- handy to know on Sundays, when they are open till 4. Sure we will be back! read more

We moved our business mailbox here a little over a year ago. It was a complex migration and the staff at this UPS were wonderful to work with. They were very attentive to every detail and we had no downtime with our mail. Since then the staff there has gone out of their way for me on several occasions including staying open later during a snowstorm so I could pick up my mail, taking in some obnoxiously large packages for a foundation benefit we volunteered at with no complaint, and learning about who I am and what my business is about. They have greatly benefited my small business and I'm very grateful for all they do for me. Highly recommend partnering with them for mail services. read more

I'm very disappointed with this store. I was there on 12/10/20 at 12:03pm to mail my boyfriend some Christmas cookies. The girl said for Ups ground to maybe arrive by Saturday, it would be $36.00. I wanted more of a guarantee, so I paid 2 day rate of $116.42 plus $21.92 for a box & styrofoam. Tracking info estimates the delivery for 12/15/20 by 9pm! I called UPS & they said this package wasn't even scanned until 8pm on 12/10/20, 8hrs after I brought it in, therefore, Thursday didn't even count as 1day. I'm pretty sure now all my baked goods will show up broken and almost a wk old!! Never using this business again, I will wait in line at the post office! read more

Urgent package dropoff on a Sunday and I was minutes away still when it was closing time. Called the store and John kindly accommodated me, saying he'll wait to close now that he knew I was coming. When I arrived the door was propped open waiting for me. I dropped my package off quickly as another lady rushed in, out of breath and thanking him for helping her too! I always use this UPS store for my shipping and printing needs. I think I would go there just because of the friendly and courteous service and neighborhood feeling, but they also happen to be extremely efficient, fast and very professional, so I love it even more! My mother often needs promotional cards and posters printed for her small business, and since I'm often designing the materials I send them there to get printed. They do a wonderful job with the printing, and the price is lower than at other printers in the area. On several occasions, I've not done a good job planning ahead and have had to ask them if they can print something that very day for an event I want to take cards to, and nearly always they have been able to accommodate my requests get them done within a few hours. I've taken several things to the UPS store to ship recently because of its convenient location and nice staff. However, I noticed that the prices they were charging for USPS shipping were double and sometimes triple what I had paid to ship the same items through the post office in the past. Bottom line: I had no idea that UPS stores can tack on surcharges on top of USPS pricing. I didn't find this out until I did some research on my own: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/21/nyregion/21ups.html?_r=0 I asked an employee about this discrepancy today (i.e., that when I shipped the items directly through the post office, they shipped for less than half of what they are charging at the UPS store) and he said the difference was probably due to the different locations I'm now shipping to. It feels weird rating a UPA store but I had such a good experience I thought I'd let you all know. My item unfortunately broke in transit. Andy, the store manager, refunded me and I got a check the next day. He was so apologetic and sent a letter to me as well.
