So they are a National UPS Customer because they sent a pre-authorized label through their network to me. I show the clerk the label and say, "Can I email this to you to print and attach. Sure, that will be $2.00 for the label. I ask, why? It's policy, she says. But it is a label as part of a national shipping contract with UPS. Yes I know but you see we're just a franchise so it's for the service. Uh huh. Well I guess you have to monetize the piece of paper here and of course the email and wifi costs money to run and of course there is your time to fund this 5 minute segment. Got it. Then, wait for it, she says, "It's a convenience fee." Let me just say this. Nothing is convenient about this moment. Nothing. You have a national shipping contract with this vendor to handle their shipments. That's on your side of the line, not mine. I honestly don't care about the 2 bucks. It's just the abject absurdity of the moment. And dealing with someone who has just been given the party line on what to do without any logic whatsoever on how to actually take care of a customer. A word of caution about the UPS store at 13033 Ridgedale Drive and pardon my rant…read more I recently shipped a 8 oz package to my son in Vancouver. The UPS store charged me $48 for this. I was astounded but paid the fee to ship it. I checked on the status of the package and it said that I needed to pay another $139 to have the package delivered due to tariffs, etc. I called Jen Chyrkulund, the owner of the store and she called me back and said there's nothing that can be done. She said that UPS and the UPS store have no affiliation. I asked what I paid $48 was for and she said that it was to ship it to Canada. There was no transparency whatsoever and Jen told me there's nothing more she could do about. I kind of feel like I just boarded a flight that I had paid for and told mid flight that the ticket price went up 270% and I had to pay to land. I understand these are tenuous times between countries, but businesses need to do better in terms of transparency and accountability. Good thing there is a FedEx store within a few blocks.

I was there to work and I was ready to try and he didn't even give me a chance and tells me I have previous workers like you in the past and because of that I'm not going to even let you try. Told me I interviewed well but I wasn't like how I was in the interview, of course it's my first day of work im 19 and I haven't been in the job force that long and have anxiety that Ive been diagnosed with. Owner doesn't want to take the extra time to train longer because he has a standard that is unbelievable high if I can't even try. (This was done to an entire group of storage areas.) This meant moving some of my stored and neatly arranged items out of the storage area while they were working and then moving them back into the storage area wherever they fit as some of the space was taken up by the new door. I was only called after it was all done to get a key for another lock. I questioned whether there could have been theft or items broken during this remodel. The owner didn't care. I asked why I wasn't notified about what they were going to do. He said they had the right to do the remodel without my knowledge. Another time they didn't have a digital copy of my rent agreement so they locked me out of my storage area until they got a digital agreement signed from me, even though I was paid up and had the hard copy I originally signed. I also second all reviews about frequent and 10% + rent increases. Oh and don't forget to give them a timely copy of your rental insurance agreement each year as they will slap a fee on for insurance without any second warning. This is not a criticism of the staff which I didn't have any problems with. In summary, you and your possessions are beholden to storage areas, who can raise rents and do whatever they want. They more or less hold your precious possessions for ransom.

I purchased chairs from Amazon that arrived in two boxes. We opened one box, didn't love the chairs and decided to return. I initiated the Amazon return without issue and selected UPS drop off (I believe it was my only option). I lugged these two heavy boxes to UPS, got them up on the counter and then was told that the original shipping boxes were not compliant with UPS standards.. I still have no idea what they mean.. one of the boxes wasn't even opened; if it was shipped to me like that, there is no reason it can't go back the same way! They tried to get me to buy larger "unmarked" boxes to put the boxes into... super fishy. I lugged my boxes home, called Amazon and the rep said she had never heard or such an issue with UPS. She scheduled an at home UPS pick up and my boxes were picked up without any issue! That reinforced my uneasiness even more and that is why I wanted to post this review so no one else gets ropped into buying boxes for boxes.
