I don't think this USPS is less efficient than others (they are all bad) but some of the people that work here are, let's just say not the best employees.. they go in the back for like 10 minutes and when they help you they sometimes are on a personal call on an earpiece, just not professional. read more

been dealing with a claim since december and now it is february. i had a package show up to me in a crushed box with a giant hole directly in the center. i started my claim and took the box to them for them to take it and send the exact same unopened box with a giant hole in it right back to me. they denied my claim as well as my first appeal but never gave me any instructions besides "wait". i guess its just ok to deliver boxes with giant holes in them its been a whole month i need these car parts. read more

If I could give it a zero review I would because that's the service I got yesterday. Nothing. Walked in for holiday stamps. I asked which stamps they had. The guy behind the counter said flags. I said do you have holiday stamps? He said we have Dungeon and Dragons, I walked away. What a waste of time. And having to wait in line too. No service, rude staff.... Very nice place easy to get to. Very clean. Very wide inside. I got here at 8:56 before they opened, the lady said oh you may come in and she told me how to use the automated machine to send my package. It was so nice of her. She's a blonde lady with some Eastern European accent. I wish she was 20 years younger I would've asked for her hand because she was so professional and nice to me and she went the extra mile to help me out. read more

No place to park. look like a lot of employees taking customer parking away from them. 1 very tired employee lady at the counter, a lot of noise on back no one comes and helps her. She rang a bell for help 20 min went by, another lady show up to take away boxes from counter. Service super slow, 7 customers in front of me 55 min wait time in line to get a service. I'm always surprised to see the post office rated poorly. For me it 100% depends on the time of day and who is working. I try to go during the middle of the day so I don't have to deal with a potential long line. I will say with Covid it's harder to predict when people will be here but overall I don't fault the post office for a long line. Staff were friendly when I stopped in. I try to do all of my labels at home meaning all I need to do is wait in line and drop it off. I was able to get a quick receipt and I was on my way. I'll continue stopping in when I'm near by and would say not to worry about any negative reviews here. read more

This is to thank and compliment the mail carrier (apparently new) on our route who has been delivering the mail for the past 2 weeks on the Valley Road/Sterling Village route. Our mail comes from the Golden Valley Post Office. It has arrived neatly folded, banded, and set on the chair outside the door. That last is very helpful to me as I am disabled and it is hard for me to reach the mailbox next to the door while holding onto the handle my late husband attached next to the door to steady my balance. The regular mail person an older man who probably trained the new mail carrier whom I have not yet met is also very good. He recently dealt expeditiously with a package delivery delay (It was stuck out in the PO in Golden Valley for pickup when it was supposed to be delivered to our home) that I brought to his attention, The package arrived the next day. read more

I was here today, and though the line was incredibly long and it was right before closing time, the staff, especially the gentleman helping customers in the lobby, managed to move the line pretty quickly and do so in the spirit of genuine helpfulness and positivity, in the middle of a pandemic. Hey guys , you all need to be reporting them to the appropriate ppl.. Go to USPS website, click on contact us at the bottom of the page, click on the email us link. Fill out the quick form by putting in the tracking number for your package, follow the form and put in writing your complaint about your package. USPS responds in one business day to your complaint. And it is a manager who responds.. I recently had a package that was at this post office and suppose to be out for delivery, but I never received it .. They lied and said that they delivered it to someone at my home, but I was there all day and never received it.. this is not the first time.. They have also gone through two other packages , on two different occasions.. they tried to tape it back shut, but didn't do a good job.. I've also sent a gift card for mother's day via envelope from this location that never made it to my mom. There have been too many incidences to be considered a coincidence. I'm convinced the staff is taking items and are going through our mail.. Speak up so we can see some change at this office, this is unacceptable for USPS staff to behave this way. read more

Very rude staff: I have seen other postings here complaining about this specific employee, she is the one with very long acrylic nails, always chewing gum. She is extremely rude to customers. I had a horrible experience during my last visit, and I will no longer use the Post Office branch. I arrived 15 minutes before closing time. I needed to mail a package overseas, but there were no Customs Forms available on their counters. When I went to her booth, she said: "You will have to come back on Monday, because it is too late, and you should have arrived here with the form already filled out." Before I could say anything she started yelling and another staff walked me to the door. As the other employee asked me what happened, she continued yelling saying that I didn't have the form filled out, and I had to come back on Monday. It is a shame that USPS doesn't do anything when there are so many incidents and complaints logged against an employee. read more

This post office has exceptionally poor and RUDE customer service. There's one employee in particular; she has very long acrylic nails, is always chewing on gum, and has a piercing right above her chin but below her bottom lip, who is absolutely AWFUL. So incredibly haughty and downright disrespectful with customers, especially the old and those who are actually quite patient and nice. I've come here four or five times in the last couple months due to tax season and other reasons and every time I'm waiting in line, she's just as nasty to the customers ahead of me as she was the last time I was there. Once it was my turn today and she acted equally rude to me, I had it and snapped right back at her. Does it take THAT MUCH to be kind?? They are in absolutely no rush. Got fed up after waiting 15 minutes in line and left.

This is my favorite, and "home" Post Office. Not only is it conveniently located just off of Highway 55 and Winnetka, but they offer a reasonably-sized parking lot--something that many branches can't say these days. The staff is helpful, although I will say that the lines during peak times can be ridiculous. Wait times typically arent bad, but if you arrive during the lunch hour or if you try to squeeze in your trip after work, you may have an issue. They also offer a separate drive-through area with several post boxes. They have an abundance of free Priority labels and boxes, even after hours (this is nice for anyone who does a lot of shipping, like myself). The 24 hour lobby is also amazing because it has what I consider to be the BEST feature the US Post Office has developed in recent years--the automated post machine. Ive used this machine all hours of the day and night. It allows you to bypass lines and even mail packages when you remember something last-minute at 3am. The machine doesnt have international capability yet, but provides other features including stamps. The only other branch that has a machine (that Im aware of) is Roseville. However, Im sure you can look this up on the USPS website. read more

Pam is the saving GRACE with location! Otherwise, it is the most HORRIBLE post office!!!! Terribly slow. Never more than two people working and most often one during peak hours. Pam is always friendly even when she is the only one which is most times. The redheadlady makes up rules and is LAZY ! read more

Yelling door from the back room is not the same as answering the caller service door that is supposed to be answered starting at 6:30 am weekdays. Very poor service. I have to track down packages w/delivery confirmation on a regular basis & front counter staff is painfully slow. read more

New day, better service. Just left Golden Valley Post Office. They got two new female employees, they are GREAT!!!! No lines, GREAT SERVICE. They are pleasant, kind, patience, and very respectful. Change is happening. Go back, check out the excellent service, no lines (could not believe my eyes) and people are coming and moving fast. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and there was a long line but it's a peak hour so I can't complain. The 2 people at the counter were moving as fast as they could while providing good customer service. When it was my turn I had questions about postage and they were patient with me and answered my questions. I don't know what makes people evil customers at the post office, communication goes both ways. read more

This has been the worst USPS experience I've ever had. The clerk was utterly rude and blunt. The line was 9 persons long and the only woman that seemed to be working was taking so much time with each customer that it took me nearly an hour just to send a stranger their lost wallet back to them. I highly recommend that you do not use this post office location. On more than one occasion I could've taken a one hour nap being third in line. Unfortunately the woman behind the counter, at least on Saturdays, chomps her gum and moves at a snails pace as if there is no care in the world. You need to carefully check your services before you pay. Going to the counter tends to increase the charges over the machine. For example, they labeled on of my envelopes as "oversized", even though there were two others exactly the same. Not a huge difference in price ($0.50), but getting overcharged is frustrating. Makes me not want to get service from a person (vs. a machine). read more
