So they are a National UPS Customer because they sent a pre-authorized label through their network to me. I show the clerk the label and say, "Can I email this to you to print and attach. Sure, that will be $2.00 for the label. I ask, why? It's policy, she says. But it is a label as part of a national shipping contract with UPS. Yes I know but you see we're just a franchise so it's for the service. Uh huh. Well I guess you have to monetize the piece of paper here and of course the email and wifi costs money to run and of course there is your time to fund this 5 minute segment. Got it. Then, wait for it, she says, "It's a convenience fee." Let me just say this. Nothing is convenient about this moment. Nothing. You have a national shipping contract with this vendor to handle their shipments. That's on your side of the line, not mine. I honestly don't care about the 2 bucks. It's just the abject absurdity of the moment. And dealing with someone who has just been given the party line on what to do without any logic whatsoever on how to actually take care of a customer. I won't be back because this is just beyond stupid, and I don't do stupid any longer.

There's sometimes a short line, so I see them interact with other customers. A lot of the employees are wearing masks, and the door is propped open when weather allows. When I order bigger projects like give signs or large quantities of postcards and other materials, the turnaround is always within 24 hours and great quality. Once when the cut on an order was off, they made it right and redid the project. Prices are reasonable and definitely cheaper/easier than buying a good printer, ink and paper myself. Home Depot has better trucks at better rates. 2. Moving can be stressful. Get their truck insurance for the peace of mind. Pros: 1. Easy to order online. 2. Plenty of moving tools and accessories for purchase at their office 3. The 15' rental truck comes with an extended gangplank for loading. 3. Gated parking for your personal vehicle with access codes to get in and out. 4. Afterhour customer support if you're trapped in their gated parking lot. Expect to wait 45 minutes or more. Cons: 1. This location closes early so don't take the employees word for it. Google said 5pm but the cashier guy told me it was actually 6pm. When I showed up at 6, the whole place was shut down. 2. Return the rental truck before the office closes or else you'll be using the self checkout process. The website was sluggish when I used it and can give the false impression that the check out process was completed. There's a $20 fee otherwise. 3. Another reason to return the truck before the office closes is the gates can malfunction and lock you in their premises.

Rep said we were out of luck and, with much attitude, asked if we were the kind of people who'd show up 3 hours late for a 2:00 haircut. Here's how it should have went: The clerk honors the pre-confirmation and gives a 6-day reservation a pick-up grace period like every other company does. Or ... the rep apologies for the confusion, explains the policy, and finds us another truck in the area. You left us without a truck for our move, coupled with an unforgivable bad attitude with everyone involved in your customer service. Never will I use or recommend UHaul. Inexcusable.
