The fact that it is a family heirloom made this project even more delicate and fragile. Jim, Justin and the whole staff at the UPS Store at 3109 W. 50th St. could not have been more attentive, concerned and engaged in this project! The personal care and attention to detail that was given to this project made it seem as though they were shipping their very own dollhouse. Jim talked to me at great length regarding the packing options he considered for the best possible result. He kept me posted on the progress and made sure the proper receipt and shipping acknowledgement was sent in the most timely manner. The dollhouse arrived at my son's home in Perfect Condition! My grandchildren were over-the-moon surprised and excited as they unpacked and unveiled this prize. I can't thank the staff at this UPS Store enough for the TLC packed into this very special package. I have and will continue to recommend this UPS Store to all my family and friends. Thank you so much!

I had a question about how he had verified the items, because he didn't follow the usual steps. The staffer first blatantly lied to me, saying he'd looked at the items; then he refused to scan barcodes (a routine part of the process); and then he insulted me. Lastly, when I asked for my items back so I could go somewhere else to make the return, he assured me he'd given me everything, but he hadn't. (Another staffer finally stepped in to help find the missing item.) I have worked retail and healthcare, and I treat workers with respect. This staffer should not be in a public-facing role. I will not be going back to this store.

    So I came to the UPS Store 1236 to do a return shipment on some shoes I ordered and had to return…read more The shoe company, sent me a pre-approved UPS label. So they are a National UPS Customer because they sent a pre-authorized label through their network to me. I show the clerk the label and say, "Can I email this to you to print and attach. Sure, that will be $2.00 for the label. I ask, why? It's policy, she says. But it is a label as part of a national shipping contract with UPS. Yes I know but you see we're just a franchise so it's for the service. Uh huh. Well I guess you have to monetize the piece of paper here and of course the email and wifi costs money to run and of course there is your time to fund this 5 minute segment. Got it. Then, wait for it, she says, "It's a convenience fee." Let me just say this. Nothing is convenient about this moment. Nothing. You have a national shipping contract with this vendor to handle their shipments. That's on your side of the line, not mine. I honestly don't care about the 2 bucks. It's just the abject absurdity of the moment. And dealing with someone who has just been given the party line on what to do without any logic whatsoever on how to actually take care of a customer. I won't be back because this is just beyond stupid, and I don't do stupid any longer.

There's sometimes a short line, so I see them interact with other customers. A lot of the employees are wearing masks, and the door is propped open when weather allows. That's nice, even though I often don't wear a mask for quick errands like this. I try to, bc if employees are wearing masks I like to follow their lead. Tons of parking too.
