This is THE BEST post office location I have ever been to in my life. Now, quick disclaimer, I…read morebelieve to my core that the USPS is the foundation of American democracy and this post office location makes me proud to believe such a thing. It is daily doing the work to uphold that belief. Here are my highlights, condensed into a list so I don't ramble and end up crying. 1. Free, easy to find and access parking!!! You park your car in this little parking garage and then are a hop, skip, and jump away from the Post Office itself. 2. This building could be a museum. Have you ever seen a post office with a DIRECTORY!? 3. The worker was SO KIND TO ME and got me my book of American flag stamps with such joy. At the end of our transaction he handed them to me and said, here you go happy lady. Which melted my heart. 4. Standing height counters to write on!!! I was able to get my letters out of my bag and address and stamp them in-house, and send them off with confidence into the mail slot. 5. One more time, have you ever seen a more beautiful post office!?! I am about to move to Minneapolis just to go here every chance I get.

Service was very good, & lines was shorter here than at other nearby offices. Only issue is signage on outer window is clear, but entry is not. Have had multiple issues with this post office and have only been living in 55403 for two weeks…read more First, I make the mistake of trying to call this office. I had to get someone from the MPLS central office to email the postmaster in order for me to get an answer to my call. Whatever. Then today, I needed my package that was supposed to be delivered today. I live in an apartment wity no parcel locker. All packages are supposed to be sent to the leasing office. I used to be a carrier!!! (for a different office) so I know exactly how sorting parcels for different apartment buildings to go to the leasing office works. It is NOT that hard. My carrier today tried delivering the package to my actual address. FYI, my leasing office won't accept a package with their address, has to be my apartment address. They didn't deliver it and marked it nsl (no safe location). When I went into the office just now to get the parcel, they just told me to come back tomorrow after I waited in line for 10 minutes only to be sent to a different window. Two weeks and I have had nothing but issues with this post office. If you can help it, don't live in the 55403 zip code, because this post office either does not have enough staff (probably for a reason...) or they just don't care about their customers.

She has been working at this location for several months, and is incredibly sloooow and inefficient at her job. She appears disheveled and confused most of the time. A couple of times she did not give me correct change, it wasn't small change either, at least $20 bucks! Good thing I was paying attention, or I would have lost that $20! One of my colleagues stopped by here during lunch hour to drop off a package -and what was supposed to easily have been a 5-15 minute errand turned into over an hour wait because that same usps lady was sooooooo slooooooooow in helping the one or two customers ahead of my colleague. Traumatized, my colleague has sworn never to return to this postal location again. So fair warning, if you decided to use the Butler Square post office, you may not emerge until decades later...

The location is small but does the job. There's room enough for one employee at the desk at a time and if there had been a line, I can imagine the wait being a little long. I had been putting off sending the package because I didn't have tape, so I went in and asked if they had tape I could use. There's a certain kind of tape they'll let you use for free if you send your package priority and if you don't send priority they have a bunch of packing supplies you can purchase. Not only did I not have tape, but I also hadn't written an address on the package. No problem, he had an address sticker and pen for me. So great. I've never been so unorganized at a postal service counter, but he was very patient with me. I wish I remembered his name, but the man who helped me was SO helpful and kind. On my receipt it says he's Clerk 15. Not once did I feel like I was an inconvenience, and it took maybe 5 minutes. Thanks again Clerk 15!
