I work from home and no one from USPS has rung my doorbell or has tried to deliver something. We have the laziest mail delivery person because they have to "gasp" drive up to our house and ring our bell - instead of putting the package in our mail locker at the end of the street - heaven forbid they should drive down to our house. I have never seen a lazier mail person. and they wonder why Amazon or other delivery services are cutting them out of the loop.

I said sorry what? and she says "you used a priority box and it's a parcel shipping label." I asked if she could just ship it parcel and ignore the box because I was unaware I couldn't do that. She looks at me and again, in the rudest tone says "you're just not supposed to do that but whatever I'll ship it." I looked at her and said "try to be a little kinder next time because it's not that hard." I understand she may have been having a bad day and I truly never really write reviews but I don't remember the last time I have had such a rude encounter. This location's parking lot is very small, but there is so much street parking close by it's not a problem. They have two windows to help you with your packages and purchases. Plus two large wooden tables on each side of the doors to finish your addressing of letters of addition of stamps. The service is helpful, but doesn't always feel super speedy. But who cares! Look around this beautiful little building! It looks and feels like a museum. It seems to have frozen time from when it was built, which was on the eve of WWII. The Minnetonka Avenue office was built in 1941 under the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression. Its antique features -- dark mahogany millwork, a green- and rose-colored tile floor, and Mankato marble paneling -- are a striking snapshot of the era. The bas relief eagle greets you above the outside doors to remind you of this awesome government gem of a building and it's ability to capture a specific feeling of a time in the distant past when milk was delivered to your door and Wayzata was turning into a town and not just a turn off the century vacation spot.

They were out of the "free" boxes, and I simply asked if they had more before I filled out the label for nothing. Ya pretty much don't do that she will bite your head off. While they…read morecan't do a lot of what your regular post office can (don't come looking for stamps or to ship a package), they CAN handle a lot of the things that your local post office may not be able to. For me, this meant getting some mail that hadn't yet been delivered. For another customer, it meant picking up a package that had been sent without a suite number. While it's a good-sized facility with ample parking (conveniently located within walking distance of my workplace), working directly with customers is only a small part of what they do. If nobody is at the desk when you come in, ring the doorbell on the wall opposite the door. You may need to wait a few minutes, as they've got a whole lot going in, but they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks, USPS!
