Map of Paris center from a bird's eye view
    Jack A.

I had a somewhat rare copy of a map of a "Paris view from a bird's eye" that is no longer available that I had casually mounted on cardboard. I was able to remove it with only minor damage to the edges and sent it to Posters on Board for a more durable mounting. I was absolutely delighted to receive the mounted map with all the little wrinkles and ripples smoothed out and minor tears repaired on a durable mounting that should last for a very very long time, and which my heirs can probably sell for quite a bit if they want to. Posters on Board is a pleasure to do business with. I received useful advice on making my own repairs ("don't do it") via email; the turnaround was rapid; and the packaging would prevent just about any damage other than a deliberate attack.

Example of wood mounting + custom color
    Allison W.

I (and my entire family) has been an avid supporter and customer of Posters on Board for years. I primarily have used their wood mounting services and have used their full framing a few times as well. Every time I visit Posters on Board - their staff is extremely helpful. They help explain the process and help you navigate the best way to pick your colors, mounting and framing options that will best fit your art. The wood mounting process enables you to showcase your art without the distraction of glass + they treat the art/poster with a protecting coat the helps your art not fade or age. They have a stock 25 colors + you can do a custom color for $10 extra. They are able to turn around projects quickly- usually 7-10 days from drop off. Definitely recommend checking out their services!

Got two posters wood mounted and they both turned out perfectly, and it only took a week. Will come back again.

It seems like I'm always looking to frame something and a few years ago a co-work of mine…read morerecommended this place. They did a really nice job helping me pick out a unique frame for the unique piece I had plus I didn't think it was too expensive when compared to other custom framing spots. Since a then, I have acquired some nice pieces of "real" art and chose to go elsewhere to have them framed (for no other reason than I thought this place couldn't handle it). I definitely ate my words. I really didn't like any other place I went to and I was extremely unsatisfied with the quality of work of the other places. So I went back to this Fast Frame. I guess all Fast Frames are all independently owned so I don't know what kind of experience you'd get if you went to a different one. This one on Lake Street in Calhoun Village is wonderful. The proprietor, Steve, is excellent. He's very non-pressuring but he gives you very good guidance and ideas when you're looking to frame something. Like I said earlier I've felt that Steve prices things very competitively and if you look online you can usually find a $40 off coupon. The framing is done very quickly (usually less than a week) and the quality is spectacular. I don't know why I ever thought to go anywhere else. I recommend this place to anyone that will listen and I will be back soon!

In a fit of vanity I decided to have them framed and hang them in my bedroom for all to admire. Nash Frame Design isn't too far from where I live and they have a convenient parking lot so I decided to have them do the job. I got some very useful advice on frame and matting selection from one of the staff. I was told it would be ready in four weeks and indeed it was. They did a very nice job and it looks very nice hanging on my wall. It cost a bit more than I expected but I think it was worth it.

The selection of frames is vast - including so many that are unique. The staff is creative, knowledgeable, polite and professional. I was just in the store today having a picture framed and I witnessed a customer who was nothing short of cruel, demeaning and disrespectful to Erika, a longtime and amazing sales consultant. Erika kept her cool and couldn't have been more professional and kind to this very cruel customer. Everyone can have a bad day but this was nothing short of abusive. I give Erika kudos for handling the situation as she did and for the shop's owner for addressing the situation in a firm but fair manner. Let's all be better, people. This is a neighborhood shop that we should bend over backwards to support. It is amazing in every respect.

Little thought was given to the consequences of crowding the aisles with product displays making the store difficult for someone with mobility challenges. I dropped a few brushes (which I did buy) and because it is difficult for me to bend that far I cried out for help several times using my announcer voice. Everyone in the store would have to hear this unless they were wearing headphones. No one responded. After waiting a bit I struggled to get the items off the ground. Finally someone came but it was too late. She stood directly in front of me preventing me from reaching the register. People in general have no awareness of disability. The employee who rang me up obviously didn't know how to have a short friendly chat. It made me feel unwelcome, as if I were disturbing her somehow. I have a long retail history and can't imagine why someone would treat a customer that way. It's unfriendly. She was capable of the simplest basics of operating a register. Unkind. Luckily I don't need to visit often.

I came here because I needed a replacement Micron 005 pen, which is a favorite among artists. I'd checked online and saw they carried them (as did Michael's, but I'm looking to vote with my dollars and spend more appropriately), but elsewise wasn't sure what to expect on my visit. I was pleasantly surprised and I am certain I will be back in the future for projects I have planned. There's stuff here that you just won't find at any big box craft store. That said, this store caters primarily to painters and drawers. This isn't a store to get kid's art supplies; it's a place for adult artists to shop. Canvases (reasonably priced) in a multitude of dimensions (some taller than I am), a staggering assortment of oil paints, paint pens, acrylic leather paint (designed to flex), a massive number of Copics, pastels/charcoal/conte crayon, Sculpey, watercolor supplies including Arches large format single sheets, huge selection of high quality spray paints, canvas sold by the yard on rollers, resin making supplies (including face masks/goggles), gloss glazes for your ceramic firing projects, mechanical pencil leads in every gauge and hardness you could desire, journals/sketchbooks, storage and easels, impulse items like stickers/greeting cards/candy towards the registers, a massive custom framing counter and a canvas stretching counter as well. The employees were all friendly and eager to help. I got asked while I was browsing if I needed any help finding anything. (I did actually need help finding the Microns but my goofy butt auto responded I was just having fun looking... which I was, but LOL I could've also used the help. I'm just so used to turning down assistance.) There's bathrooms in the back if you have need. They are gender neutral, hooray! Nothing fancy, but all functional and clean enough. The surface parking lot is a bit small (and many of the spaces are 30 minute maximum), but there's also plenty of garages nearby as well. It was pretty busy when I was there on a Friday afternoon!
