I tried to capture my fav piece by walking a video around it but the video just doesn't do it justice. You must see in person. I worked for West Publishing when Mr Cafesjian was an executive there so I have some familiarity with his love of art. It's hard to imagine some of these pieces being part of his home. Such beauty to view everyday. The museum is open to the public but you need to make a reservation at the set times. The guide is very knowledgeable and spends about 20 minutes talking then walks around the museum answering your questions. She was wonderful and a nice addition to the tour. Some of the pieces are on loan so stop back on occasion to see new art.

Many would be good for a child's room and would make a great gift. For a shower as well. Another reason to come to the West Bank. It's on the block for the Wednesday weekly West End days with all the vendors.

I've come here multiple times and have left with quite a few pieces now especially from DC Ice and AMF. While there for an event, I got to do some wandering and purchased a few items. 1)Excelsior Candle Co.Snagged a pack of wax melts and a warmer. 2)Tipton-Hammond Arts. There's lots of beautiful art to choose from, and while it was hard to choose, I purchased a cool print. 3)MBMB. Lots of cute merchandise, but as soon as I saw this cute t-shirt that said, "I'd rather be doing arts and crafts", I had to get it.

They've got an ever-changing collection or art, seemingly from local artists. With room for all types of hanging art, and larger pieces in the center of the room, the A|Z Gallery looks like it would be a great party atmosphere to host openings. I've never been, and frankly don't know if they do that, but the location looks fit for it. Parking is hit or miss; not many street options now with the surrounding roads dug up for the Central Corridor project, but you can take advantage of the Farmers Market lot (if not already occupied) or the Tilsner lot itself. I honestly don't know if you have to pay for those two...but I've never been towed.

Except for the "art show" that my friend's children set up in a corner of their room....so, yeah. AZ Gallery was holding an event - A Midwinter's Dream - that featured local women artists and their various crafts. Everything was represented there from homemade candles and perfume to photography, shadowboxes, and jewelry. To be honest, much of the reason we went was to support a couple of friends at the show. Wandering around the space was easy and fun - I had a great time talking to each artist, some were members of the gallery, others were guests of the gallery. And the members of the gallery were super nice too. The gallery did a great job of laying out the space so that it didn't feel too crowded either. I can't tell you much more about the gallery, hours, trivia, or anything else really useful. But, if you see another event of theirs pop up, be sure to check it out! They do know how to host a nice party and they have some great artists.

I had been hearing good things from friends and I was happy I was able to make it to the closing show for Minnesota's Best Kept Secrets. I love how it's located right on Central Avenue, in the same building as Diamonds coffee shop, with parking and everything. I brought my very hyperactive new puppy with me and he was welcomed into the gallery! It was a very nice vibe. The art was impressive, a nice variety with some names I recognized and some I did not. My girl friends and I had a blast, I would definitely attend more shows there! Next time I am in town, hopefully.

Rogue Buddha presents challenging, interesting and original contemporary works from local artists…read more The current exhibit features some fantastical, supernatural "found materials" creations from Michael Thomsen (which I am lusting after), some rather disturbing but quite beautiful paintings by Caitlin Karolczak, and as always, original works from gallery owner Nicholas Harper. Well worth a visit.
